Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

Amiver looked out of the car window as they traveled back to Manila. The road seemed to stretch on forever, and she thought about everything that had happened. Denmark noticed her deep in thought and held her hand, trying to offer comfort.

In the backseat, Marcus played with a toy quietly. The car's engine and the sound of the tires on the road made a soft background noise.

Amiver, are you okay?" Denmark asked, glancing at her while keeping his eyes on the road.

Amiver sighed softly, her gaze fixed on the passing scenery. "I'm fine, Denmark

He frowned slightly, concerned. "I understand that it's been a lot to take in, but is there something specific bothering you?"

She hesitated for a moment before finally speaking. "It's just... there's a lot on my mind, but I'll be okay."

Denmark sensed her unease. "Amiver, you know you can talk to me about anything, right?"

She managed a weak smile. "I know, and I appreciate that. But for now, I just need some time to process everything."

"Of course," he replied gently. "Take all the time you need. Just remember that I'm here for you."

"Thank you," she said softly, her fingers

Hmm I forgot to tell you yesterday," Denmark began, "I've had our house in Pasig, the one Mami gifted us when we got married, spruced up. That's where the three of us will be staying," he shared in light of their recent situation.

What? Amm, Denmark, you didn't even give me a chance to think about it," she said, irritated.

"Hmm, I'm sorry if I didn't discuss this with you earlier. I thought everything was fine with you since we're okay now," he explained.

Amiver let out a deep sigh. She wanted to calm herself, but she couldn't understand why she felt so rattled since hearing Cathee's name.

"Just because we're okay doesn't mean I have to blindly follow all your decisions, Denmark. Let me think about this move first," she replied in a calm voice.

She glanced at their son in the back seat, who seemed to be sensing the tension but remained silent.

Denmark let out a sigh of understanding. "You're right, Ami. I should have talked to you about it first. I apologize for assuming.

Mommy, Daddy, are you fighting?" Marcus askedan innocently.

"No, sweetheart, we're just discussing something with your dad," Amiver reassured.

Marcus nodded, seemingly satisfied.

"If you ask me, I want to live in the house where you and Mom used to live, Daddy," Marcus said. Denmark glanced at Marcus through the side mirror and winked.

Amiver couldn't help but smile. "Alright, sweetheart, we'll talk about that when we get home."

Their journey remained quiet for several hours after that. Amiver couldn't help but feel guilty about what she had acted to Denmark. She had forgiven him, but the thought of returning to their old house, where many sad memories lingered, was still difficult for her.

After nearly 8 hours, they finally arrived. Denmark dropped them off at their intended condo.

"Are you tired?" he asked. "I'm sorry; next time, we'll take a private plane."

"I wasn't tired, I managed to nap during the trip, You're the one driving for a long time,"Amiver smiled in response.

They had already eaten since they passed by the restaurant earlier during their trip, so they were full. It was also late at night, and Marcus had already fallen asleep in his room.

I wasn't tired from driving either, having you all and Marcus with me is enough to keep my fatigue away," He expressed

Amiver giggled at Denmark's comment. She enjoyed his habit of making lines, which had amused her for a long time.

"Alright, I'll head out now, Ami," Denmark said.

Amiver held Denmark's hand as a sign of restraint for a moment.

"I'm sorry if I got a bit annoyed earlier," she said.

It's okay. It's my fault for not asking you first," Denmark replied.

Amiver grinned, thinking that maybe it was just a misunderstanding when she heard Cathee's name yesterday. She didn't think Denmark would suggest they live together again if he was still in a relationship with Cathee.

"Ami, I'm serious about making things right with you and building a family," he said calmly.

He held both her hands and continued, "I want us to get married again."

Amiver was overwhelmed with joy, never expecting that this day would come when he would propose to her.

"But you don't have a ring," she chuckled, tears still flowing from her eyes.

Denmark sheepishly replied, "Can I hand it over later?"

"Does anyone propose without a ring?" she teased.

"I really wanted to propose formally and romantically, but I noticed something different about you yesterday," Denmark said, laughing.

Amiver wiped away her tears of joy

"So, will you marry me again, Ami?"Denmark asked again, "

Amiver nodded enthusiastically, her smile radiant. "Yes, Denmark, a thousand times, yes!"

Their lips met passionately, brimming with love, and once again, they savored the sweetness of their love.

"I love you," Denmark whispered as they remained naked, their bodies pressed close, and their lips locked.

"I love you too, Denmark," Amiver replied with equal affection.

They hugged each other tightly, feeling their love and desire grow stronger. Their hands explored each other's bodies as they enjoyed the closeness.

That night was filled with sweet moments, and despite their tiredness from the journey, they reached the peak of happiness.

Amiver looked into Denmark's eyes, her voice filled with affection. "I'm so happy now Denmark."

Denmark smiled warmly, holding her close. "Me too, Ami. "

Their embrace tightened, expressing their love without words, just the comfort of being in each other's arms.

Amiver chuckled, her voice filled with affection, after their long intimacy. "You don't have a ring. Our honeymoon came first."

Denmark grinned, still holding her close. "I guess we did things a bit differently this time."

They lay together naked, wrapped in each other's embrace, content in the warmth of their love.
