"Are you ready?" Madison shouted at me.
"Just a moment," I replied.
I looked at myself; I was wearing button-down blouse and pink cropped grosgrain-trimmed bootcut pants and black flat shoes. I found this outfit in a donation pile from our school, and it still looked brand new.
I applied a bit of foundation and blush to my face, then put on pink lipstick.I put on my black blazer and then left the room.
It was my first day at work at Mega BEGC, while Madison had an interview in a nearby building. I prayed that she would get the job so that we could be close to each other at work.
"Wow, you're so beautiful," Madison said.
"You too," I replied, returning the compliment.
"Alright, good luck to both of us," she said, and then we left the house. Jacob was waiting to give us a ride.
