There weren't too many people inside because only select positions were invited to this gathering, and it hadn't started yet, so it was still noisy.
I noticed the group at a table; it was Kendra's group. I also saw the outfit Kendra was wearing. It looked just like the one I bought at the mall yesterday. Kendra noticed that I seemed to be looking at her, so she raised an eyebrow and gave me a head-to-toe glance.
"What , rookie?" she said with a teasing tone.
I knew she had taken the outfit I bought. I just shrugged and ended the conversation. I wondered how someone like her, a bully and arrogant, was accepted in the company.
I looked for Butch, still upset about Kendra taking the outfit. When I found them, I immediately sat down to have a drink.
"Seems like you're sulking over there, girl. What's the problem?" Butch asked.
"Nothing, Butch," I replied, trying to hide my disappointments.
Butch just smiled and shrugged.
