My prayers were not answered.
"Today must be a very bad day for me. Who did I offend?" I thought as I entered the class to see that Ms. Song was the teacher in the class right now. Of all people, it had to be the one who hated me the most.
" Miss Shen, it is so nice of you to decide to grace us with your presence" She said which made the class erupt with laughter.
I gave her a sheepish smile as I went to my seat.
" Go stand in the corridor." She said to me as I was about to sit down.
" This is so frustrating" I murmured.
" This your attitude would not be tolerated in my class especially today. Your parents and here today and the owner is also here so you had better behave yourself even if your parents don't come" She said pointing to me at her last statement f but she had just given me a good excuse that I had almost forgotten.
" Can I say something" I asked her politely which made her look at me on a suspicious manner but she still let me talk.
" I arrived at school early today but my father delayed me today" I paused and she looked at me to continue. She already seemed more willing to hear me out now that she heard my father was here too. The only thing he was good for in my life.
" As I was about to run to class so I would not miss your wonderful class.. " The students laughed at how I exaggerated the wonderful part but Ms. Song shunned them with her hands so I continued.
" My father called me because Mr An and his wife wanted to talk to me so I was a little delayed" I finished and I could see she did not believe me fully.
" Ask them if you don't believe it. I am not lying" I quickly said and she had no choice to let me go to my seat.
" You know the An family" Sui Sui, the only friend who was in the same class as me asked.
" Kind of. I met them on Friday" I answered her.
" I heard they are super rich and this school is one of their least investment" She said, " They have a son too, have you seen him?" She asked me.
" I have not seen him before but he goes to our school. I think he is some nerd" I said.
" How don't you know him? Are you in this school at all? He is the...." The bell interrupted what Sui Sui was about to say.
" Miss Shen, meet me at my office" Ms. Song said as she went out.
" I will be going now" I said to Sui Sui as I went to follow our teacher.
" I got a call that I should call Jinchuan to go meet his parents so since you know him, you are better acquited for this. Call Jinchuan and tell him to meet his parents at the admin office" Ms. Song said to me as she sat down.
" Okay" I said walking out. The day keeps on growing worse. There is a reason why Juniors don't like going to the seniors class and I had never had a reason to go there.
All they were going to do was talk some annoying shit and laugh at their jokes. Teenagers really had a problem with laughing at everything.
Many people tried their best to avoid the seniors class but now, I had just been sent to the lion's den. I can swear that Ms. Song did this on purpose.
I entered the class and unfortunately for me, no teacher was there. They were already making Jest as expected.
" Woah, What brought this pretty little girl here" One of them asked.
" Which class are you" Another asked.
" I think I know her. She is the little princess of Grade 11" Another one said.
" I have heard of her" The boys were talking while the girls were just looking at me like I was something on sale for them to scrutinize.
The only group that did not seem interested were some group of boys talking at the back. One had his back facing the class as they
were doing whatever they were doing.
" I am looking for An Jinchuan" I asked but did not get any response but instead I heard comments like this.
" Of course. She has to be looking for Mr perfect" One said laughing.
" He really takes all the beautiful girls" Another said.
I ignored them and walked to the group at the back. They might be the only ones who will help me seeing as they were not too concentrated on making jokes of everything I say.
" Excuse me, I am looking for An Jinchuan" I said as I met them. The guy who had his back to the class was still facing that way while I saw the rest tapping him instead of answering my questions.
" What is it" The guy facing the back said as he removed the ear pod that I did not even see him wearing before but that was not the only thing that caught my interest.
His voice had a deep baritone and was also really smooth. It was like the river flowing in a steady path. My heart involuntarily beat by just hearing his voice and I haven't even seen his face yet.
This was new to me and I can't even believe that my heart was beating because of a voice that I have not even seen the face.
" Maybe, he was not even fine" I thought but even I know that I am just deceiving myself. His back statue did not look like it would belong to a face that was less than perfect.
" She is asking of you" One of his friends answered him and that was when he realized that someone was standing at his back.
" Were you looking for me" He asked as he turned back but it seemed like time just froze and I could hear only sounds.
