Chapter 46 - Chapter 45: Boundaries crossed

Kamila felt a stream of essence being drawn I to her, thus time she was not unconscious and within her sea of consciousness but conscious although barely...

The essence flooded her body from her bones to her muscles to her blood she felt it all so clearly.

Nala the Aura manifestation of Berian purred gently as she licked the blood of Kamila's face like a doting mother would wipe away a stain from their child

Her kicks had subtle traces of life energy as Kamila felt herself healing slowly but surely she could feel her wounds closing and healing

A cloud of red manifested and solidified into a material form of a seductively ravishing red head with golden eyes, her dress was still wine red much like when Kamila had met her in her sea of consciousness.

Berian stared at her descended with a stoic expression before clicking her tongue " Are you stupid or something?!" she asked staring daggers at her.

Kamila remained silent as she fell on her butt and grabbed her knees steading her breath she did not reply

" I asked are you stupid?! Are you retarded?! So you lack a few screws in your head?! Why the hell would you fight before consolidating your gains, better yet why did you fight before being accustomed to your enhanced physical prowess?!" She barred question after question

Berian did indeed mean her words when she said she didn't care if Kamila died or not, truthfully she had seen far too many deaths for a mere descendant of hers to pluck her heartstrings....if any remained that is

She did however detest suicidal thoughts and actions...more so one that was stupidly obvious to not be considered and accident of any sort

She was now not an Ancestor advising her descendant but a warrior condemning another, there was nothing more wrong in her eyes than a warrior falling because of their own stupidity

" I got carried away....I lost myself for a bit, I was.... overconfident by the new power...so that's that..." Kamila finally responded but her voice was low and her words short and up to the point to the point where it came out a bit disrespectful.

" Carried away you say, my word you were flying like Icarus in the bloody afternoon sun using Wax Wings!!" she cursed and berated

" I know..." Kamila acknowledged as she took a deep breath, she at the moment did not want or feel like talking, she was really trying her darn hardest not to curse at the wisp of her Ancestor...she had just lost her resolve....kinda- ish.

She was currently a muddled mess within her mind and body too, nit counting her spirit , she was at her lowest at the moment.

" You know?!....If course you know, why else would you overestimate yourself and choose to draw out a battle that would have ended in a single spear throw!! Are you really a student of my mentor?! How can I am teach a disappointment such as yourself?!" Berian's will asked as she held nothing back in her speech and thoughts

The lioness of Dawn was never known to pull her punches and would do everything with the highest efficiency.

Her words rubbed the wrong sides of Kamila's already foggy mind as her closed eyes snapped open as her fist clenched tightly

" The fuck would you know about me?! Your just a strand of a former myth?! Do you think you can just come out and say whatever shit you want to me just because your the fucker that started this bloodline?! Get your dick out your ass you deceased old relic your not my mother!!!"

Kamila cursed her chest heaving for air her eyes drowned in red as even the golden was now dim her face was twisted in rage and anger as she didn't even let Berian follow up with another question

" Yes I made a mistake! Who fucking doesn't ?! What gives you the right to criticize me when I'm simply trying to fucking adapt to whatever shit hole this trial is?! And so help me God if you dare call me a disappointment again I will carve out the stupid strand of your soul out of me and purge myself of whatever's Varia Bloodline exists within me?! You Varia bastards are all the same, you halfheartedly promise roses and rainbows only to deliver thorns and storms only to call the victims disappointments?! I will not have any of it!! So choose your words Wisely Berian Gutris Varia?!" She threatened as her eyes were no longer golden only crimson red as even her hair begin to loose it's Raging red hue turning Charcoal black the more she spoke.

' Ohh shit this lion cub really is serious about purging my bloodline!' Berian exclaimed at the boldness of her descendant, it would seem she had touched a sore spot in her criticizing banter that would cost her a talented descendant.

The forest fell silent as two lioness stared t each other none willing to step back for the other.

Berian sighed and choose to be the bigger person, something she rarely did and sighed as she looked at the still retreating red hue of Kamila's hair.

" Fine I apologize for my earlier outburst, what you did was reckless, stupid, life threatening and suicidal," Berian apologized with a sigh, it really felt weird saying sorry much less to a brat four thousand years younger than her

She was the Lioness of Dawn, the crazed spear sovereign who even Emperors of other races had had to bend the knee in order for her to guide their heirs.

But this and that were different, right now she was something akin to a great great great great great great great great and so many more great Grandmother

Berian shuddered at the thought and asked herself 'Am I that old?! Nah I'm still twenty five, I dare anyone to say I'm older! We'll see if they gave birth to me!' A crazed grin formed in her face before shaking her head, she was being distracted

Kamila's hair begun to glow red once more as her bloodline thrummed back to life hee red hair almost scarlet now and her honey brown eyes seemed more honey gold than brown.

' Tch! What a lucky bastards her trying to discard her bloodline actually made it more purer. Does this kid want to be my clone or something?!' Berian mused.

Kamila however did not say anything and maintained her silence not wanting to say or explain anything, she didn't even react to Berian's apology as she only stopped discarding her bloodline and fell into silence

' How stubborn...' Berian rubbed her temples as she could see the silent treatment she was being given. Yes she had apologized but so what? Things had already been said, limits had already been stretched and for Kamila who could only be considered a teen hd the hormonal functionalities of one despite her seemingly mature and composed demeanor

Like most teens she did most things driven by instinct, or emotions with rarely few things to think of, so when she got pissed even Kaleb with all his idiotic tendancies stayed clear of his little sister, she held grudges and spitefully at that.

" I do not know what you have gone through while living with my....older descendants and I can't apologize for grown adults, nor do I care enough to get involved...so the most you can get out of me is a listening ear and a pat to the head...." she said

Kamila remained silent for a while before sighing audibly " What did I expect from the Ancestor of those two faced bastards."

Berian's lip twitched as she heard Kamila's sigh, this descendant of hers was too unruly, did she have to say that...she could have just begun. her narration like any other normal person, did she have to drag her name through the gutter too?

" I'm not that much of a story teller so I'll summarize in less than fifty words..." Kamila stated prompting Berian to sit down...if possible that is

" My father was basically a genius but one that didn't follow most of the family's customs...this out him in the bad books with the Elders, he then got married with an outsider who wasn't accepted by the family

My mother died mysterious when we were six...no explanation was given, I remember my father erupting in rage as he demanded an explanation, which was never given.

From them he stayed less and less within the Mansion, we barely saw him growing up and were raised by our grandparents.

Growing up we were always bullied by our cousins, be it on combat or when we were playing even during our meals

We were oppressed in resources as when I complained about it when I was twelve, me and my brother were whipped because we were spawns of a disappointment

Our Cultivation lagged behind others due to us receiving less of everything, this was one of the reasons my brother always wanted to go out hunting....he had wanted to atleast elevate our situation.

But his aspirations were labeled as rude and barbaric without an ounce of respect to the family, we were ow termed disappointments of Varia....A Monicker that stuck to us even while growing up."

She stopped and fell into silence before adding once last line "You Varia bastards are all liars, my father once said...but growing up I realized he was more right than I ever imagined."
