Chapter 49 - Chapter 48: The Lion Pride

Kamila after the epiphany she received from the Willowing Lotus Spear Art she postponed fighting the Pride immediately.

She had learnt from her mistakes and thus after marking their den she returned to hers where she practiced her new Spear Art, she had felt far too resonant to the art.

She practiced it trying to get accustomed to it but it seemed to be rather useless.

Not in the fact that she couldn't, rather that she could to impossibly accurate degrees, she had even started to have ideas on how to slightly tweak the Art but decided against it.

Just because she was atrociously compatible to it didn't mean she should toy with it.... atleast not yet.

" I-is that it?! You've already grasped the basics and fundamentals of Willowing Lotus?!" Berian asked in disbelief

" Uh-huh yeah I guess...it's just the final form that rather troublesome to perform, otherwise I'm set," Kamila replied

" You do realize the absurdity of your comprehension...no heck do you realize how hard it is to seemingly have mastery over an art which you barely had the original pieces of?!" Berian asked shocked by Kamila's nonchalance over the situation.

" Hmm that....well I just saw my master existing in the same Era as my Ancestor along with the fact that he was also her master and your shocked over my art comprehension while in a body that resembles if not being a precise copy of the original user?!" Kamila asked with a raised brow at the wisp of her Ancestor.

" Well....if you put it like that....it's rather normal, but Ivarthen's situation shouldn't worry you in anyways....," she paused as if reminscizing before continuing with a small smile

"....there was this time when me and the other disciples had planned a small birthday celebration for our master..." she chuckled "....but none of us knew his age, so when singing a birthday song we subtly added the 'how old are you now' question which left us with cup sized open mouths," she laughed this time not as reserved

" So...how old did he say he was?" Kamila asked with subtle interest. to which Berian pared her a glance before smiling.

She raised her hands and folded two fingers leaving only an eight

" Eight years....Eight hundred...." Kamila stated once and added against after Berian shock her head

" Eight thousand Years, he said while smiling warmly as if staring at a comical sight," Berian stated as she stared at Kamila jaw dropped wide open mouth, " yeah we had the same reaction...." she chuckled

" Doesn't that mean he's around twelve thousand years old?!" she exclaimed " How does a normal human live for that long?! Heck why does he even look twenty?! Even the Older Ancestors who are half a Millenias old have greyed hairs and wrinkles?!" She questioned unpausing.

" Ahh that....it seems he hasn't explained that yet to you," Berian said thoughtfully

" Well I don't see any harm telling you so..." She shrugged as she begun to explain what she had been told by Ivarthen himself and some of the rumors back in her days along with the knowledge of the Witch.

Ivarthen was once a son of a Duke, from a well established Empire that's from what she heard.

But from Ivarthen himself, he never denied nor acknowledged it, but what he did tell her however was the story of a certain Goddess.

She had taken a liking to him and as such decided to bless him with her best and strongest Blessing.

From the blessing there was no wound he could not Heal from not matter how fatal it might be and that he would never die. The Goddess had granted him an illustrious blessing many would want, Immortality.

He outlived his parents, siblings, relatives, descendants of his siblings and their descendants.

After the brief recollection Kamila did not ask anymore nor did Berian reveal anymore. They maintained their silence until Kamila finally returned to practicing the Art she had recently received.

She did not attack the pride on the same day but chose to do so the after atleast two more days.

Those days she spent practising the Art, from the basics, to the complexities, from the first form down to the second last which she could perform.

Her attention lingered on the final form which she was getting more and more acquainted with.

Berian watched her train, it that's what it should be called, she could not help but be shocked at Kamila's high Comprehension speed, heck even calling it speed seemed an underestimation it should have been down right called Talent.

She gave pointers where needed and with her piqued interest tried to get to know more about Kamila Varia as a person and not as her descendant, hoping to maybe mend the broken bridge between a Talented descendant and an idiotic Family.

As much as she promised Kamila to aid her in her own path, which intelligent living being could resist the allure of a Second coming, be it Indirectly.

She would keep her word yes, but that's only to the point where Kamila still wanted it, she had never promised to not stop trying to change her mind.

That was the plan of the Varia Ancestor who could not help but want to swallow the gem that was Infront of her, she had learnt a great deal from Kamila.

As stoic and Unexpressive as she was she did talk abit about her Immediate Family, that is her never around, her father, her late mother and Reckless Older Brother as she described.

Berian had quite liked Kaleb's demeanor as one of a Warrior to her liking, to add Chery on top he was far more talented in weapons than her sister what did that mean?!

' Another Fucking Genius chased away because of those Idiotic Elder?!' Berian Screamed internally.

She had grown Curious about the man and using her Bloodline Authority as their Founder, skimmed through the Various members of her bloodline until she found him.

But she was rather shocked by what she discovered, the young man was actually being trained by Spirits, not just any spirits High Spirits who should have been Arch spirits by now yet we're suppressed from Evolving.

She had sensed an immense Potencial linked to the elements that she did not see herself confident in training him.

She watched as his proficiency in controlling and manipulating the elements became easier....yes the spirits were not teaching him their Spirit magic but pure unadulterated Elemental Control and Manipulation.

His affinity was being raised to such potency that one would think of him as an Elemental and not human.

The elements moved as he walked and quaked as he laughed, fire would propell him when he jumped and wind ease his fall, it was quite alarming as Berian had only seen a select fee influence the elements to such Potency that's without including her master.

' JUST WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THOSE STUPID ELDERS?!

TO DISCARD SUCH TALENT, TO THROW AWAY SUCH POTENCIAL ARE THEY FUCKING NUTS?!

DEAD....ALL OF THEM I'LL FUCKING KILL THEM! NOT ONE BUT TWO ALL THOSE STUPID INSOLENT CHILDREN SHALL DIE FOR THIS IDIOCY?!' Her breaths grew ragged as she hyperventilated even in her spirit form, her face grew redder than her hair which was a sight Kamila did not miss

" What's wrong with you Suddenly?! Your face is all red and everything...." she paused thinking back to one of her own experiences that matched Berian's face as she added lightly her tone being somewhat understanding and comforting

" Ohh so it's that, I didn't think even Wisps of Souls could undergo Cramps much less the periods..." she rubbed her chin " how enlightening, I'll keep that in mind Ancestor," she beamed a smile as she understood her fellow females struggles.

Berian stared with a stupified expression as she could not begin to imagine how her face looked like a struggling lady facing cramps.

She took a long breath that threatened to consume the entire forest and sighed heavily as her sigh sounded more like the bellow of a beast than a lady.
