Upon her Introduction the very waters churned, snow seemed to drop as Kaleb felt the calming of water course through him.
He suddenly felt so attune with the waters that he could see himself floating in a sea of crystal waters with mild waves.
His eyelids grew heavy as his vision blurred over the calming waves and ripples of seas, he could hear the melodic splash of the water fall and the silent droplet that sought out the embrace of the oceans.
He felt tranquil as he took a deep that somehow smelled salty and with pecks of sand, he felt euphoric as his heart calmed and his soul stirred in delight
He fell into an epiphany by mearly hearing the name of the water maiden who had saved him, the currents of water rose and circled around him like a torrent of waves but not touched him as if afraid to wet their lord.
The waters suddenly dropped in temperature as cold mists begun to spread with the waters hardening into ice.
' What a peculiar human, to be so attuned to the element of water yet not being so at the same time...it must be the work of the Doe, I sensed it's lingering presence on the bot...' Euera who had been observing Kaleb thought
' But humans tend to take too long in their epiphanies and enlightenment, I don't think he has that much time...' she thought rubbing her chin.
' I'll just compensate him with something else,' she shrugged and exhaled before closing her eyes.
The air calmed as an eery silence ensued, before being broken when Euera opened her eyes
A heavy pressure descended covering the entirety of the lake and shore, every living thing shudder and fled as if in the presence of death.
' Kaleb's instincts flared as he was forced out of his epiphany, he coughed violently mouthfuls of blood as his mana went rampart threatening to implode him, his blood oozed out his orifices as he clung to his chest heaving and curled up in a fetal position.
' Ahhh I forgot humans suffer backlash from forceful ejection,' Euera thought embarrassedbby her crude method yet her face remained stoic.
She waved her hand as a wave of water swallowed Kaleb and glowed, shimmering in the light his wounds healed as his mana calmed.
The waters swept away leaving the now wet and drying Kaleb on the ground,he stared up looking at Euera with a hateful gaze.
" Don't stare like that...it was unintentional, besides your currently not in the best of situations, so why not sir down, let bygones be bygones and have a lovely chat with me," she pointed at the seat opposite of hers with an amicable smile.
Kaleb grunted and got up falling into the seat he locked eyes with Euera his gaze still hateful, he sighed defeatedly and buried his vain hostility that could not help him in anyway.
After a minute of silence Euera begun to speak
" Good,now that your calm there's a number of issues we have to address," she shifted her position hanging one of her snow white legs over the other " before we start please just answer me truthfully, I can see through lies and I abhor them like I do the flames, are we clear?" she asked to which Kaleb nodded
" Now then I can see you have quite a high affinity towards Earth Water and a bit of lightning, but the first two are too high within the standards of a human so I will ask have you consumed one of the seven stones of elements?"
Kaleb furrowed his brows with frown, he didn't remember eating anything related to elements, but he could tell the lady's guess was not a guess but a fact which she was mearly trying to affirm.
" I'm not knowledgeable in these... stones what I've eaten however are the cores of beast, a Doe to be precise."
" If It's a Doe then it's the Stones of elements," she stated as a mater of fact
" Is it? Well I just thought it was some sparkly Prey, didn't think it was mystical or anything," Kaleb replied " bit that's beside the point, so what if I ate a stone of creation, your not just asking to affirm your guesses so out with it what do you want and how do you want it?"
he asked directly not wanting to be dragged around the bush.
" Indeed there is something I want from you, given the fact that only two of your affinities have risen to an unprecedented degree, it's safe to assume you ate one...maybe two at most of the stone, I would appreciate it if you'd be so kind as to hand over the rest," she stated after making her own guesses.
Kaleb stared at the woman and sighed
" that won't be possible, at least for all of them."
" Why so? You clearly don't have all corresponding elements Fire Water Earth Air Light Darkness and Soul, you'll die if you get greedy and no I'm not threatening you it's just a fact, it's already a praise worthy achievement that you consumed two just like that.
But given the nature of this trials it should have impared you of mana making the Stone solely focus on your affinity, this should have triggered the restoration of your mana if I'm not mistaken given that you were about to die from mana overload," Euera stated her words bearing an undebatable facts that Kaleb couldn't challenge.
" Well you were more responsible for my near death than the stone....but who said anything about me using them? I have a sister with a fire affinity no less what mine was, she also bears one of air making her candidate of two of these stones...." he raised his hand at Euera "let me finish, I also have a master with an insane affinity to life which is strangely linked to light if I'm not mistaken, so that leave me with only two which are darkness and soul, soul is compatible to all so realistically it's only darkness that remains, will that suffice if not then I have no means to help you maiden of the lake," Kaleb stated after laying down his logic.
" I just need the Soul stone, nothing more you can use the rest as you see fit I have no qualms," Euera sighed as all plans to help her other friends were thrown out the window of thought.
" Hmm it depends, what you haven't really explained anything about the stones for me to give them any worth besides major affinity boosts, and given that your somewhat linked to Water and Frost wanting a soul stone just solidifies my claim of it being more versatile," he added.
" Fine I'll explain about the Doe of Elements,"
she begun" The Doe is a rather mystical being, it's birthed from nature but nature and it's origins date back to the age of gods.
The First Doe, The Doe of creation was birthed when the Goddess of Creation overused her authority, her wasted energy gathered and took form of a majestic Doe which aided the Goddess in her endeavors.
From this Doe where birthed a few more that is Elements, mana and duality .
The Does can be born in two ways, one is by normal birth while the other is by saturation.
Saturation being that there is an overabundance in what defines their nature be it the Elements Mana or Duality.
The Doe of Elements bears Seven stones which manifest on its chest, the stronger it's connection to the elements the more concentrated and pure the stones become.
All the Does without exception form an extra stone, the soul stone which houses their souls it's the most beneficial to all races as the treasures that affect the soul are rare.
That is all I know of the Does," she sighed.
' Well shit I don't understand anything she said,' Kaleb lamented wishing his sister or Ivan was around ' I'm not suited for all this talking propaganda, I can't deal with this...' he sighed internally.
He waved his hand and a glittered white stone appeared it's serene crystal-like edges made it more mesmerizing.
" Take, I quite frankly don't understand anything you just told me apart from that it's powerful, I'm still at the first Grand Realm nowhere near Soul Cultivation, it would be stupid of me to horde it," he tossed it to her.
" If that's all I'll be leaving, I have a trial to complete," he sighed thinking of how he was to massacre an entire territory, just then he shivered looking at Euera before hesitantly asking
" hey.... Euera, your not classified among the beasts of the trials right?..."
Euera shaken out of her reverie Titled her head in confusion before her eyes sparkled into a blossoming smile " No I am not, I am a spirit whose job Is to supply and maintain the water, you quite lucky as I overlook all water sources within this trail at least," she explained.
" Thank gods... fighting you would be a death wish, how do you fight something that freezes you before you even move!" he complained to which Euera pouted.
" Hoe rude I'm not terrifying just versatile, and it's not thing it's she I'm a she Euera got it!"
" Yes Yes," he replied lazily as he begin to walk into the forest
" Wait I'll compensate you for the troubles, I don't like debts who knows if you die lamenting that I owe you. You might come back to pester me!" she stated before walking toward the waterfall.
The waters froze turning into a bridge as she walked towards the waterfall, just as she was about to cross she turned back and raising an eyebrow she asked " Coming?"
Kaleb sighed and followed her as they entered the Waterfall.
