Ryan pulled Aurora to stand up and placed his hands around her, "Avery and I have decided to get married."
The ward turned as silent as a graveyard. Immediately Ryan dropped his words, his dark eyes stationed on the man on the bed without remorse. Aurora was no less surprised than Mr. Ezekiel, a frown appeared on her face.
She did not settle for marriage, she was only forced to pretend as someone she was not. The idea of marriage was something she was not comfortable with. She opened her mouth to protest but the slight pinch on her waist made her close her mouth shut again.
"Grandpa you must not have heard my words well, let me say it again. After being engaged for years, Avery and I have decided to get married. We want to spend the rest of our lives together, she just returned back. Who knows if anyone will try to take her away from me." Ryan said again, not satisfied at the silence he was hearing.
The old man on the bed did not know what to say, he was confused and at the same time baffled. He was happy too that his granddaughter would be getting married to the man she loved but the happiness he was looking for was not on his granddaughter's face.
She looked neutral and different from her past self. "Avery, is what Ryan is saying the truth? Are you willing to get married to him? If you are then I will agree to it but if you are not then I will stop the wedding immediately." The old man said with an air of authority not giving face to Ryan.
Aurora gulped down the invisible water down her throat, it was the perfect opportunity to reject the marriage offer but the hand pinching on her waist was forcing her into agreeing to the marriage.
She didn't have a choice, a panicked smile appeared on her lips. "Grandpa, why would you think I don't want to get married to Ryan? I have always dreamt of marrying him since I was a kid, finally I can not wait to walk the altar with him." Aurora remarked, smiling.
Aurora let out a slight laugh to prove her point and enthusiasm at how happy she was that she was getting married to her dream man. Ryan smiles too after gazing down at Aurora, he gave the old man a smile.
Old man Ezekiel did not know what to do. The agreement from Avery was already accepted by him but for some reason he felt hesitant to let Avery get married suddenly. Maybe it was because she had been proclaimed dead in the last month and she appeared again only wanting to get married.
"Grandpa, you don't have to think too much. I promise you, these are my sincere words. I really, really want to get married to Ryan.. I am back home now, after getting married to him I can have full control over the business and make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands." Aurora said again urging the old man to make a choice.
Ryan stood expressionlessly holding so little expression in his face, he knew there was something the old man was busy hiding from him. If it were in the past then the old man would have readily agreed without thinking twice about it.
Ryan felt suspicious, not only was the old man hesitant but the accident of the past all came playing in his eyes. The old man sighed, he could not refuse after seeing his granddaughter's enthusiasm.
"Then you have my blessings, you can get married to him. I give you both my blessings. I will ask my assistant to begin the preparation for the wedding, you just have to sit at home and wait till the necessary arrangement is made." Mr. Ezekiel said, sitting up on the bed.
"Thank you so much Grandpa." Aurora muttered with grit teeth hiding within her grit teeth was a fake smile and tight expression.
"You do not have to worry about the arrangements now grandpa, you just have to rest and leave everything to me. I will get my assistant to plan the wedding, my grandpa will be happy to hear you finally agreed to it." Ryan started flashing a smile on his lips.
"Let me do the preparations Ryan boy, my granddaughter is getting married. As her grandfather this is the least I can do for her, she is after all the only child and treasure left by her parents for me." The old man refused Ryan's help.
Ryan hummed, he did not want to take the rights of the old man away from him. "If you want to be a grandpa, then you can do it. We are grateful and will prepare other things for the wedding." Ryan remarked.
"If that's all then, we will take our leave now. I am very busy with work and I have to drop Avery back to the house too." Ryan informed him.. The old man nodded his head and gestured for them to leave with a smile.
Aurora broke away from Ryan's hands and gave the old man a hug, she rubbed on his back before pulling away with a smile. "See you soon grandpa." Aurora wished and just like that they left from there.

Aurora walked behind Ryan with slow steps, she felt hesitant to step closer to him. The feeling of his hand on her neck had not faded away just yet. "Say what is on your mind and stop walking like a snail."
Ryan spat out when Aurora bumped into him while she was lost in thoughts, his expression was grim. Aurora moved back and rubbed her nose, she bowed her head and apologized deeply feeling him sending glares at her. Ryan gazed down at the woman with a fierce glare.
"It's nothing,I...I... Was just lost in thoughts and accidentally bumped into you. Let's go into the elevator then." Aurora remarked walking ahead of him and into the elevator.
