Chapter 9 - Leaving with him...

"You heard right. He will soon become a member of this family, not only will he become a member but you will also have to call him, brother-in-law and welcome him into the house from now onwards." Aurora backed up Ryan's words with a smile on her face, her hand clenched silently at her side.

Collins frowned deepened beyond measure, he stepped forward ready to punch Ryan directly on his face but he held himself back from doing so when he received Ryan's glare.

"What do you mean my son has to call this man brother-in-law? Are you getting married to him already? It hasn't even been long since you returned to the country yet you are in haste to get married?"

"What happened to spending time with your family after all these years? What happened to take me around the country as you promised in the past? I object to your marriage." Anna remarked stepping forward with a deceitful smile hanging on her lips.

Aurora was lost for words, the same person who refused to listen to her a while ago and also the same scared person she was a ghost was now talking about taking her around the country. Aurora scorned in disbelief.

"She can as well take you around the country or even the world after getting married to me. She doesn't need your approval because you don't deserve to have a say in her affairs, you are only related to her by blood and nothing more." Ryan remarked sending chills down Anna's spine.

Aurora pulled her hand out of Ryan's because she was feeling uncomfortable by his hold. She stepped to the side with a frown on her face, if she had a choice then she would have willingly backed out of getting married to him but she didn't.

Her gaze moved around the living room getting stuck in her world, she pushed the voice of the others out of her head. Her eyes moved around till they settled on a mirror placed in the far end of the living room.

Green eyes pierced back into her, Aurora blinked continuously trying to get rid of the eyes but no matter what she did or how many times she closed her eyes, the green eyes remained.

Aurora felt like a different person was residing in her body, she was the owner of her body and life, yet at the same time, it felt like she was not. It felt like she was being trapped inside a glass case and told not to move from there.

Aurora saw herself hitting on the glass continuously trying to break free from it, tears filled her eyes. She hit continuously trying to get away from the cage but it was all futile, because no matter what she did, no matter how she hit the glass. It didn't break, it refuses to break and allow her to escape.

Tears prickled continuously from her eyes, it slid down her face and then to her neck. Aurora was lost in thoughts when she was shaken out of it, the glass was cracking and breaking away. A ray of hope appeared in her eyes till she saw that the smaller glass only broke to trap her in a bigger case.

But in that bigger glass, Aurora shrieked in fear and broke out of her thoughts when she saw Ryan's darkened eyes glaring down at her. Immediately fear filled Aurora's being, she closed her eyes and opened it again to meet with Ryan staring at her.

"It seems aside from taking your own life you like to daydream about things too don't you?" Ryan remarked expressionlessly, although his expression was neutral his eyes said something else.

Aurora bent her head in shame, her gaze fell upon her leg which was stepping on his. She quickly pulled it away and stepped back, exchanging words with him was the last thing she wanted.

"Where... Where is aunt and cousin?" Aurora asked gazing around from the corner of her eyes, she also used that clear up the tense atmosphere she was feeling burning around her.

"I killed them.." Ryan answered in a Kurt tone that suggested he did.

Aurora gasped in surprise, she raised her head and pierced into his eyes while stepping back from him. She looked around hoping not to see their dead bodies lying on the ground. Aurora released a sigh of relief when she didn't find anyone killed and laying on the ground.

"You are fickle, as well as stupid. Even a kid knows better than you, your aunt went to get your things. You will be coming with me, from today henceforth you will live in my home." Ryan remarked turning around and walking away from there, he took a seat on the couch without second thoughts.
