Aurora cleared her throat, she couldn't believe she was acting like a teenager who had teenager hormones messing up her head. "Get hold of yourself Aurora, you have seen much hotter men than him."
Aurora untangled her fingers and slowly walked into the apartment, the apartment was covered in grey color. From the floor to the kitchen, the walls, and everything else, the couch was not left behind either. They were all covered in grey color.
Ryan took a seat on the couch without paying heed to Aurora walking around like a lost human, his gaze fell on the picture that was on the wall. His eyes stilled in pain.
The picture was of him and Avery when they visited the amusement park the previous year, she was smiling so happily in the picture without any form of fear or worry in her eyes. The previous year, he had promised her that he would take away all her worries.
He made a promise to always protect her but he failed so drastically, he was not able to keep his promise to her. He didn't deserve being alive but he would live only to fulfill Avery's dream before she died.
Aurora turned around feeling uncomfortable at the silence in the room, her eyes fell on the portrait that was on the wall. For some reason, Aurora felt uncomfortable and sad. She moved closer to the couch in an attempt to have a better look at the portrait.
Unintentionally, Aurora stepped on the shoes on the ground which broke into two. Ryan's eyes snapped back to her when he heard the crack sound, his eyes fell on the shoes on the ground. He frowned in anger, his eyes narrowing down on Aurora.
Aurora felt a cold shiver go right down her spine, she stepped back her hands holding onto her clothes in a tight grip. Her eyes turned red from fear, she shook her head indicating she didn't know it was there.
Words stuck in her throat, Aurora continued walking backward when she saw Ryan standing up. "What did you do? Are you so blind? Or are you just so stupid?" Ryan yelled in anger glaring at her.
Aurora swallowed, "I did not step on the shoe on purpose, I didn't even know it was there. Please spare me." Aurora pleaded choking on her tears, her back hit the wall getting to a dead end.
Ryan glared viciously at Aurora, he picked up the broken shoes and stormed out of the room without second thoughts.
Aurora desperately gasped for air from the fear she felt a moment ago, She was so scared that she thought he was going to hit her. Aurora slid to the ground and sat on her knees, the heels from the shoe had pierced into her leg and it was hurting her like hell.
........
Back in Ezekiel's mansion, Ryan and Aurora left from there. Collins climbed back down the stairs furiously, he picked up the pillows on the couch in the living room throwing them on the ground in anger.
Anna quickly rushed out of the kitchen hearing the sounds in the living room, Her thoughts were that Ryan and Aurora return to cause trouble but it was her son causing the ruckus in the room.
"Stop it, son! What do you think you are doing? Are you dumb? Messing up the house just because you are upset will not solve anything, nothing at all. Calm down and think rationally."
