Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 - Sona

'Why is Ashe being so respectful out of sudden?' thought Darius, not understanding what was happening.

Just who was this person who had just paid for his dagger as if it was nothing, Darius didn't know who she was.

But, he knew one thing.

She was probably from an important family or something like that because Darius didn't believe her to be stronger than Ashe which meant that Ashe was scared of something else.

'Is she scared of her background?'

That was the first thought that popped into Darius's head, and it seemed to be the correct guess in this situation.

The girl just passed in front of both Darius and Ashe without even looking at them, as if they were nothing more than insects.

Darius took this opportunity as he analyzed her from top to bottom, wanting to remember what she would look like in the future.

The girl had purple hair which was so long that it went down all the way to her butt. Her face and her eyes looked like perfection incarnate as Darius couldn't anything negative about it. But that wasn't her most incredible feature... it was her body.

Her body was simply perfect, there was not too much muscle on it unlike Ashe's body and it was slim with good proportions. Her melons and her butt were big but not too big, overall her beauty was unrivalled.

Well, from Darius's point of view.

However, her personality wasn't that's for sure.

Ashe didn't seem to mind it at all, as she kept a straight face devoid of any emotion.

"How much is this?" asked the girl as she handed the dagger to the dwarf.

Not even a hello or any sort of respect was given. However, the dwarf only smiled as he answered acting similarly to Ashe.

"It's with great honour that I'm serving you miss," said the dwarf with extreme politeness.

"Yes, yes, what about this sword, how much is it?" uttered the girl, dismissing all that unnecessary politeness.

"Oh, for you, five gold."

However, an expression of displeasure appeared on the face of the girl.

"Tell me the real price, don't worry I have enough for it," she said with clear displeasure on her face.

'She looks like one hell of an annoying girl,' thought Darius.

"Then, one hundred should do it for this sword," uttered the dwarf, with a serious expression this time.

"Only one hundred, here," said the girl as she handed one hundred gold right away not even thinking about it.

'What is that sword for it to cost one hundred gold,' thought Darius, as he couldn't see anything special about it at all.

In fact, he didn't know why he had chosen that black dagger of his. It was just a feeling of his, but there were probably much better daggers on that wall if the one he had chosen only cost twenty gold.

He knew that the price had been slightly reduced because of his connection with Ashe, but still, he knew that this dagger which he has taken wasn't the best.

Then, as the dwarf got his one hundred, the girl turned her back instantly as she glanced toward Darius with a curious expression.

"See you in the academy, my name is Sona."

Then, she continued on her path as she left the shop. She didn't let Darius answer as she left right away.

The creaking noise of the door once again resounded inside the shop which announced her departure.

*Creak*

The girl who was now outside of the shop, couldn't help but think of something.

'He really was cute, but well it's not like I can spend time with him,' she thought.

Right after thinking that, she looked in front of her and saw two people who were searching everywhere for her.

"I'm here," muttered Sona, in an extremely quiet voice.

However, it seemed that two Awakened who were looking for her heard it right away as they appeared right beside her instantly.

"What were you doing in this part of the Empire?"

"Don't you know that you could have gotten hurt?"

"Make sure to tell us when you want to go somewhere or we'll be in trouble with your family," uttered what looked like a guard, as he was wearing a completely black uniform from head to toe.

Sona looked a bit annoyed by all those remarks as she simply couldn't bother.

"I just went out for a bit, you guys don't need to always follow me around," she muttered, unhappy with this situation.

"Of course, we need to, what if you were attacked by someone who recognized you? Especially, when the Entrance Ceremony to the Royal Academy is so close," said the guard, showing that he didn't agree at all.

'The Royal Academy, finally freedom,' she thought.

Back in the shop, Darius was currently at both Ashe and the dwarf with a weird look in his eyes as they were doing the exact same.

"What?" asked Darius not understanding what was happening.

However, the two stupid people in front of Darius ignored him as a smile appeared on their faces.

"Did you hear that at the end?" said Ashe, excited.

"Yeah, I think that this young man right here is already charming ladies," uttered the dwarf.

'Charming ladies, what are they even saying?' thought Darius not understanding at all what was happening.

Sona had only said nine words to him the whole time that she had entered, so how was he even charming someone?

"Right, she even gave him her name. Sona Avalon gave her name to Darius right here," said Ashe, with a big smile on her face.

It seemed that she was really happy about this whole situation.

But, then Darius who didn't know anything about the girl's identity caught onto what Ashe had just said.

"Wait, Avalon, as in Avalon Empire? Who was that girl exactly?" asked Darius right away.

"That girl is the daughter of the strongest person in the Empire, the emperor himself. But don't worry I think she liked you, she even told you her name."
