"No way, are you serious? That girl was the daughter of the emperor?" exclaimed Darius, now understanding why both Ashe and the dwarf had acted with that much respect.
They knew that if they did even one wrong move then they could potentially be in loads of problems.
'I guess it makes sense now,' thought Darius.
"Yeah, she was and did you see the look that she gave you at the end, she was clearly feeling you. I'm telling you young man," uttered the dwarf with a smile on his face.
It seemed happy to be teasing Darius by the looks of it.
"Sure, whatever," replied Darius, as he didn't believe it at all.
'She probably thought I was her age, and that's why she gave me her name, yeah that must be it,' thought Darius, trying to convince himself.
"So, Darius, why did you buy this dagger?" interjected Ashe, completely changing the subject as she had noticed that Darius didn't seem to like it all that much.
"Um, I'm supposed to have a reason?"
"Yeah, what stats does it give you?" asked Ashe, confusing Darius.
"Stat? What are you talking about, I just took it on a whim, that's about it," admitted Darius, unsure as to what she referred to.
Now, the dwarf had no choice but to join the conversation as he looked even more confused than Darius.
"Ashe did you not tell him anything about awakened items?"
"Thorin, he only awakened a week ago. I didn't have time to tell a lot," countered Ashe.
Thorin, the dwarf, nodded acknowledging what she had just said as he turned toward Darius,
"So, um, Darius, right?"
"Yeah?" replied Darius.
"You don't know how to look at the information panel of awakened items?"
'I didn't even know that they existed and why are they acting like it's that big of a deal?' thought Darius, a little frustrated by Ashe's and Thorin's overreactions.
"I don't, what's the big deal?"
"It is a big deal, the weapons you buy need to fit your needs and fighting style and only by opening the information panel that's possible," said Thorin as it seemed to be something really important.
"Then, how do I open it?" asked Darius, tired of hearing the nagging coming from Thorin.
He just wanted to get out of here and explore the rest of the Empire, in fact, he knew exactly where he wanted to go after leaving this place, the church.
"Just concentrate on your dagger and it should open up instantly."
Then, why didn't you say so before,' thought Darius, frustrated about this conversation as a whole.
Couldn't have Thorin just said that he needed to focus on his dagger for the information panel to open, why did he need to have this long conversation?
Then, Darius did exactly as he was told, looking at the black dagger with focus.
*BEEP*
[Black Dagger]
[Grade: Uncommon]
[+1 Agility]
[+1 Charm]
[Description: One of the first creations of the blacksmith named Thorin which was for a long time considered one of the blacksmiths to have ever lived. It can you move more swiftly and at the same time make you look cooler.]
'It can make me look cooler? What the fuck is this piece of trash?' thought Darius, as he simply couldn't believe that this dagger could give him one point in Charm.
So, did this mean that this dagger had the same Charm as him?
'Nah, there's no way that's true,' thought Darius, refusing to believe it.
However, that was basically the case as Darius also had only one point in Charm.
Then, he looked up in the description intrigued by what was written about Thorin who was the one who had made this dagger.
'He was once considered one of the best blacksmiths to have ever lived? Then, what happened to him?' thought Darius as he couldn't believe that such a person was stuck inside this place.
It made absolutely no sense to him that he was stuck in such a rundown place, hidden from the eyes of many.
However, the more he thought about it, he just couldn't deny what was written by the system right there.
After all, the daughter of the Emperor, Sona, had just come in and bought a weapon from here.
This meant something, and Darius simply couldn't deny it.
Then, he lifted his head up, dismissing the information panel in front of him as he asked a really simple question.
"Who are you?"
This question was obviously directed toward Thorin, as Darius couldn't even begin to imagine what had happened to him.
"Me? I'm no one really," replied Thorin, in an enigmatic tone.
It seemed that he wouldn't reveal anything about him and Darius didn't feel like pressing for information, so he simply stopped as he had another subject to talk about.
"And about this dagger, can I change it for another one?" asked Darius as he had realized that maybe it wouldn't be the best fit for him.
However, Thorin only had a smile on his face and it wasn't one which Darius appreciated.
"Um, I don't think so, you have no money. So, I don't think that's going to be possible. Next time, be more selective and more careful when making your choice," said Thorin, without any remorse.
Darius could also not contradict him as he knew that he had been rash and had just chosen the dagger which had caught his eyes first.
Still, Darius couldn't say that it was a bad weapon.
'I guess it can be considered to be alright to start with,' thought Darius, grabbing the completely dark dagger in his hands.
"Oh, and before I leave can you explain how Awakened Weapons are graded," asked Darius, as he had seen earlier that his dagger was graded as Uncommon.
"Um, I'll let Ashe tell you about it, now scram and let me continue my work in peace," said Thorin as he basically started to drag them out of his store.
