Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 - Test

'Who even is she?' thought Darius as he knew nothing some god named Lilia, even Natasha, which was the one who had shown around probably knew nothing about her.

'And what's this connection?' thought Darius, having completely no idea what that was even about.

Darius, then, dismissed those thoughts as he wouldn't be able to find answers to his questions even if he thought about them all day.

Instead, he looked in front of him and saw that Ashe was waiting for him at the exact spot then when he entered the Church, it seemed like she hadn't moved a single inch.

"So, how was it? Hell?" asked Ashe, wondering if Darius had changed into one of those fanatics that were inside. "Did they do anything to you?"

Darius hearing all of this, simply smiled as he was quite happy that he had someone who kind of worried about him.

He had to admit that it was a new feeling for him as he had never once felt that in his past life.

In his past life, he had never heard the word "thank you" come out of his presumed friends. The only time that they seemed happy around him was when they were asking him to do something for them.

The more he thought about it the more he realized that maybe he had been somewhat stupid in the past, he should have noticed that behaviour.

But, he hadn't. To be honest, why would he think that his friends would kill him?

The thought had simply never crossed his mind, as he loved them with all of his heart.

Was it stupid?

Maybe, but they were his only friends he wanted to keep them or else he would have been alone all of his life.

"Maybe it was," muttered Darius, thinking that he had finally met someone to depend on.

"What's with that stupid smile on your face?" asked Ashe.

Immediately, after hearing that, Darius lost his smile. Hiding it from his face.

"What smile?" he said with a face devoid of any emotion.

"Argh, whatever, so how was it? Did you learn anything?" asked Ashe, wondering how he had found his experience in there.

"Well, people in there were special that's for sur-"

"See I told you that they were all weird people," interrupted Ashe, not even letting Darius speak.

Darius was a little mad that he was interrupted as he simply glared at Ashe.

"W-what? You can continue."

"Alright, don't interrupt me. First of all, I learned the history of Rengar which is honestly quite interesting as he was once like us, getting stronger and all that. However, don't worry I don't really believe that story seems a little fabricated if you ask me," added Darius at the end of his sentence as he had noticed the glare that Ashe was giving him.

"I was worried for a second there," admitted Ashe, after Darius had finished his little summary of what had happened.

Darius smiled as he thought about telling her about the system message that he had gotten at the end.

'Would she know anything about this connection that I got at the end?' thought Darius.

'Probably not, she didn't know anything about Rengar in the first place. Ironically enough, the best place to ask would be inside the Church, but I don't if I should tell them that I got a connection with another God. I don't know why, but I just feel like I wouldn't be welcomed,' thought Darius, as he remembered how Natasha had acted when he had asked about the other gods.

Darius thinking about that decided that it was better to not tell her anything.

He knew that she wouldn't betray him and go telling around about it, but he was still scared that such a thing might happen, especially, considering his past.

"So, what do you want to do now?" asked Ashe, wondering if Darius had anywhere else to visit.

'Um, I actually don't know, should I just go to the Academy right away?' thought Darius, as he wasn't sure if there was some spot which he hadn't gone to yet.

"Where should I go? You're the one who knows this place not me," said Darius, turning the question around.

"Um, I guess you're right," admitted Ashe, as she seemed to be thinking deeply about where they should go. "What about the Academy, shouldn't we just go to the Academy before the Entrance Ceremony, you know look around? In fact, you kind of need to pass a test to even enter the academy in the first place."

'A test? Why didn't she talk about it before, didn't she say that everyone was basically accepted?' thought Darius, as he thought that maybe she had lied to him.

Seeing Darius's face, she quickly added something as she remembered exactly what she had told him.

"Don't worry, it's nothing special, it's only to check if you really have awakened," said Ashe.

Darius nodded as he agreed that it really wasn't anything worth mentioning, however, it seemed that Ashe wasn't yet finished.

"But, actually I forgot to tell you something, with this test, they might be able to know that you are a Supreme."

At first, Darius wasn't really worried about it as he wasn't even sure if he even had one in the first place. Even after all those days had passed, he simply couldn't be sure.

He knew that his system was special, but would he become one of the strongest beings in this world?

He didn't know about that part, and if he was a Supreme, Darius would have liked it to be kept private because he could already anticipate what would happen.

A lot of people would go up to him, trying to be friends with him using whatever means that they could, hoping to be his ally in the future.

But, that wasn't how Darius wanted to pass his time in the Royal Academy, he wanted a peaceful one away from most.

"Is there any way to hide it?" asked Darius, as he really didn't want to take any chances.
