I woke up, washed up, go down to the spacious canteen, eat a heavy meal then go to the Guild's library, located on the second floor of the Guild building, to get more information about this world. This has been my routine for 5 days now. The inn is a fancy hotel blended amazingly with different styles. In the library, there's Ysletta, a strong mage working as a librarian, just say what kind of book you want and she will bring it. I know she is strong but she hides it very well and she just sleeps most of the day. I haven't even seen her entire face.
"Miss Ysletta..." I whispered softly so she wouldn't go berserk when I wake her up. Learned it the hard way.
"Hmmm?" She hummed with her hoarse voice.
"I would like to have books regarding the Goblin Forest monsters," I spoke softly.
She raised her hand and released mana to the books related to what I asked for.
"Thank you..." I whispered.
I went and grabbed 2 books, one is Monster Index: Goblin Forest and the other is History of Goblin Forest.
I searched through the Monster Index about the Shaman Goblin Suzuki told me about.

"When the universes aligned, a great forest spawned in the meadows along with monsters that never existed. Monsters were rampant in this new land. A fight between species was inevitable, they fought over territories, hunting grounds, and habitat. As a lower and weaker species, goblins were forced to hide in the forest where no one dares to enter because of the giant trees and wild unknown plants. No other species of monster entered the forest thus the goblins claimed it as their territory. Years passed, and they evolved and adapted to the environment until human adventurers came and massacred the goblins. Yet again, the goblins faced a defeat that almost led to extinction. Then a God descended and blessed the forest. After receiving the blessing, goblins can now spawn every 30th day of the month but no one knows how many really spawns. When the goblins are not killed before every 30th day, they start to form armies to retaliate against the humans that drove them to extinction. The blessing was a chance for the goblins to get their revenge. The great forest became the Goblin Forest, where the anger of the goblins rests."
"What a wonderful backstory," I said while wiping the imaginary tears that never fell.
"I need to start preparing," I went out of the library and down to the lobby to ask Elaina if there is any academy in the town.
"Elaina," She turned around slowly making sure her hair flips elegantly and gave me a subtle endearing smile and sticky eyes trying to allure me.
I stayed at a distance and raised my voice," Is there any school or academy in this town?!"
She pouts her mouth and furrowed brows formed on her face," Northeast of the town."
She then went on to do another task and I felt I made her angry after creating a distance between us. Before I left the building, I saw adventurers coming back crying creating a heavy atmosphere inside. All 5 of them have minor injuries on their body. I left quickly as the atmosphere felt gloomy.
"Let's find a magic shop for now, maybe I could find better skills there."
I wonder around the busy streets filled with stalls and checked out their goods one by one. Nothing really caught my eye and I don't find any use for them. I keep looking at the shop signs and I still can't find anything related to magic.
"Ah, that looks like the academy," there was a sign pointing toward that direction saying Crimson Lotus Academy, for sure that is the academy I'm looking for.
The academy looks like a small castle but it got modern glass buildings as its main big buildings. Those buildings give me a sense of nostalgia as I look at them from afar. The inside is a spectacular scene, very isekai anime I must say and the breeze here is ... Warm! I can smell the sweat of the people training, something burning, flowers, and gunpowder?!
"Welcome to Crimson Lotus Academy!" Said a stout girl running in my direction. I looked back to see if there was anyone else but it was only me there.
"Ah... WHAT?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. No wonder it felt nostalgic, those buildings where I went to school before everything turned into a mess.
The girl was startled and looked at me with big eyes.
"Sorry," I bowed and apologized repeatedly. I never thought I would get to see my school ever again.
"Ah it's fine ummm sir Ras," she said hesitantly while side-eyeing me. " Are you going to enroll in the academy?"
"Yes, I was planni-" she cut me off with her loud gasp.
"REALLY?! I am Thea Montifilia, the secretary of the student council!" she said with passion and excitement. She grabbed my arm and pulled me til we entered the lobby of the academy.
"I will handle your registration," she said with enthusiasm.
"Pardon me for asking but how much do I have to pay?" An academy like this should be expensive right?
"It's 30 silver Eth per month." She started writing down my basic details on a papyrus.
I looked over to my pouch and I have a little over 35 silver Eth left. I already paid for the lodging so if I enter the academy, then I'll only have 5 days worth of food left.
My sigh was loud and audible and grunted in frustration thinking I need to go back to hunting goblins again.
