Chapter 6 - Heaven's Replica. {D.E.S. 5}

"T-This, is this heaven?"

I was once again dumbstruck. What was in front of me was a sight you think you would see only in a fantasy world.

It was "Magical" like a replica of heaven.

As the elevator opened, gathering my strength, I stepped out of it just right behind the man.

The environment was so beautiful. It was a super wide greenery environment, as wide as a football field.

No even wilder.

I'll start the description from the floors, the floor was not made of tiles nor was it sandy, it was made of equally leveled and smooth grass.

It was a scene that would want to make you take off your shoes just to feel it's softness.

There were flowers planted all over, there was no specific spot for them and no specific color, but the sweet mixed scent of the flowers made the environment a "die for".

The most mind blowing thing was not the lake.

Yes there was a small lake that tempted one to swim in it, but the mind blowing thing was the water falls.

The water falls that flowed down into the lake. It was beautiful.

Birds chirping and butterflies sucking the nectar of flowers, trees waving in rhythm with the wind.

I now understand what's going on here, this isn't a basement.

This is another whole new environment that is going to be a bit far from the wrecked house.

So basically, the elevator served as a teleportation gate to another environment.

I really do think I'm in love, if there was really a place like this then why did I ever want to die.

I was stupid for wanting to die before seeing the beauty of this world, I love this place!

But honestly speaking, if I were to doe now I still don't think I would regret anything or even fear death.

~Clap! clap!~

Snapping me out of my daze was the clapping of the old man.

"Stop staring" He said to me before walking to the center of the wide field.

Pointing at the large house that was a bit far from us that I had failed to notice earlier, he said.

"That's my base of operation, but seeing all that you've gone through to get here, I think I will round up, so you'll go home soon. I already prepared a small table there"

He said pointing at a table with some tools like, a microscope, harmer, screw driver and other tools, both ones used by craftsmen and other profession.

You would think that the table was meant to display the different tools on it.

"Now would you kindly give me your necklace?" He demanded.

Walking up to him, I gave him the necklace.

"If you figure out anything strange, please kindly inform me." I asked of him politely.

"I will, who knew you could be so polite? Anyways don't mind me and make yourself comfortable" The old man said.

"How can I make myself comfortable when there no chair for me to even sit down? You're such a horrible host, I might sue you for visitors abuse and take over this place."

I said while trying to climb the tree to pluck some fruits.

"Can I eat the fruits old man?" I asked in confirmation

"You asked after climbing the tree, aren't you dumb? Whatever, do what you want" He said while wearing his jeweler's loupe and begin focusing on the necklace, exploring it with a tiny screw driver.

"I wouldn't lie old man, you surprised me today, you're smarter than you look"

I said, but after not getting a response from him I noticed he was engrossed in what he was doing, he seemed like some kind of craftsman nerd.

Anyways, it's good he did not hear me compliment him.

Now, it's time to choose which fruit to eat from, hmm so which should it be?

†*****Darwin's POV*****†

*All my life as a craftsman, I loved experimenting on new mineral resources and creating new items, but lately I felt that I've already experienced it all.

I started loosing interest, so I went into forest's of different countries to know if I can find anything that would bring back my zeal in craftsmanship.

And that's when I lied to the masses about going into seclusion.

It worked for about five years, but it became boring as everything I came across did not take me long to decipher by mere looking at it.

But this necklace here is something I've been thinking about since I first saw it, and to think that the wearer is one who's not afraid of death.

If anything, I think I owe this boy for bringing my zeal and making me feel young again, just like the good old days.

The necklace have a striking resemblance to gold, so ordinary people or unprofessional craftsman may confuse it for gold, but, the material this is made off, I haven't seen in my whole life.

Even during my adventure, I have never come across something like this.

I'll need to check it out another day with my digital microscope.

Maybe I'll invite him over during the weekend. But for now let me study the outside*

Searching through it, I figured out that there was a tiny hole at the side, but it was wide enough to poke with my tiny screw.

Using my tiny screw driver, I poked it and as soon as I did that, nothing happened.

I started thinking it was a mistake, but seeing something as unique as this, even tiny things like that may have their purposes, so it might not be a mistake after all

It also gave off a vibe of an ancient Egyptian treasury.

Turning the back to explore more, I saw words inscriptions and I'm a hundred percent sure that it was not there before.

Looking more into it, I saw that it was written in Latin and luckily, traveling throughout the world has helped me learn alot of languages and to add to that, I studied linguistics.

Indeed, no knowledge is a waste. I decided to read out loud, because hearing myself pronounce it will help me read it more fluently.

"habita in tenebris ao non clypeus. Exsurge in lucem umbram tuam clypeum meus "

Translating it, it means:

"kept in the dark without a shield. Rise up in the light of your shadow, my shield"

What does this mea...

"?!"

Sensing something coming at me with speed I titled my head to the right dodging whatever it was that shot at me by a hair's breadth.

*What the hell was that?!*

My eyes widened as I saw what it was
