The sound of me switching off my apartment lights resounded in the almost empty room.
~Clack~
Locking the door of my apartment, I left for school.
And if you're wondering why I have been discharged? Yes.
I was discharged not so long after the old man left.
I have already prepared for school and I'm heading out.
********
A few minutes after walking, I got to the school compound.
*Today is the day for our martial arts practical aspects. Everyone is going to be testing their strengths in different ways.
We'll also have a one-on-one spar with our chosen opponents.*
As I was walking, I felt a hand wrap around my shoulders the weight that came from it made me crouch.
"Hey, look at our star, Mr. "FEARLESS". How have you been doing without me?" A voice said coming from the person who was also wrapping his hand around my neck.
Oh, I haven't introduced him yet.
Do you remember how I mentioned earlier that my self-acclaimed "best friend" wasn't in school?
Well, that's him now, his name is...uh... Damn, I forgot.
"Hey, we meet again uh..." I said trying to remember his name.
"Henry Stephen, I'm Henry Stephen your best friend, how can you forget something so important?" He said while pouting.
"Yeah, right, Henry Stephen my self acclaimed 'best friend'," I said in a flat tone.
" I didn't come for a day and you already got yourself into so much mess, you almost died if Mr.Darwin hadn't saved you," He said.
"Yeah, I almost had my fair share of peace of mind," I said honestly
"Huh? How many times have I told you to be careful while walking, especially when I'm not there, because, you know, if I'm there, I would have saved you" He nagged like an old woman?
"You never said something like that to me, dummy," I said
"Well, I'm saying it to you now and you better have it stuck in your head."
"Yes, Grandma," I said while rolling my eyes.
"So, I heard he took you as his disciple and to think you guys have started training already.
Was it his intense training that made up end up with a bandage around your forehead?" He asked pointing out my bandaged head.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that.
While I was about to get discharged, I looked at the mirror and saw a lump in the middle of my head, like I had hit my head on some ion.
I guess I fell with my face and that's what led to this.
Showing the nurse my lump, she wrapped a bandage around only my forehead.
I wouldn't lie, I looked really good if I do say so myself.
No, no, I'm not being narcissistic ok?
"Yeah, that old man's a brute" I lied through my teeth.
I couldn't have told him about my weird yesterday's experience, could I?
"Old man? You guys already got so informal.
I'm jealous." He said in a teasing tone.
"Quit whining, we are about to meet our noble classmates," I said as we got closer to the class door.
Henry Stephen wasn't from a popular family he's in the school through sponsorship.
His family background is unknown, but the fact is that he's from a poor family.
"Hey! Get up from my sit!"
"Do you know who I am?! you're supposed to be grateful I'm on your sit!"
"You... "
~Giggle!~
"It's a lie, The Lucian's martial arts is better than the Godwin's..."
Opening the glass door, the loud chatter of our noble classmates welcomed us.
We went ahead and took our seats, we were sitting in the last row.
The classroom setting contained 5 long technologically advanced seats in a horizontal row while vertically, 11 sits.
Each long bench and desk was shared by two students. Making a total of 110 students.
But at the last end were two extra chairs with the numbers 109 and 110 written on them, 109 was occupied by Henry and 110 by Gideon.
Henry was sitting close to the wall, while Gideon was beside him.
There was no window, since they had a transparent roof with little punctured holes on it, to allow ventilation.
Although it usually closes when there's a change in weather like a storm or rain.
In front of the class was a digital board, which was used for teaching us.
I took a brief look at the noble students who don't have anything better to do with their lives other than chat with one another.
Bringing out my martial arts book, I started reading while Henry rested his head on the desk, as if sleeping, no he was already fast asleep.
I'm not surprised because he always sleeps through the first period.
A few minutes later, our class teacher entered.
The class became silent.
Raising my gaze from my book, I decided to look at what made the class so quiet.
Even if it was a teacher, he or she usually has to scream to calm the class down and it takes a minimum of thirty seconds for everyone to calm down.
As I looked at the teacher, I saw two beautiful girls standing beside her.
One with red long hair and violet eyes, while the other with Blonde long hair and yellow eyes.
They were both extremely beautiful and their physical maturity did nothing but make them more beautiful.
Their Beauty was something I have never seen before.
But it would be really hard for some people to choose between them.
As for me? I don't have an eye for any of them.
Yes they were indeed "beauty goddesses" but I just feel like having any feelings for any of them would even make me more of a cliché side character than I already am.
And honestly speaking I don't like people that stand out too much, maybe it is just instincts but I just don't like them.
"Good day class, you have two new students, please welcome them," The female short brown-haired teacher with black eyes said.
Bored by the whole situation I decided to get back to reading my martial arts.
*Martial arts, I think I understand what martial arts is all about, as in the procedure and requirements.
I've read a lot of martial art techniques since coming to this school and it was so easy to discern.
Not because I'm a genius or anything, but because I know my own body in and out.
Except of course ever it was that happened to me yesterday.
Once you're able to understand your body, its concept, and how it works, martial arts should be easy to both learn and practice.
The way your muscles move when you make some moves, the way you breathe to reduce fatigue.
The flow of your blood and some other biological information.
Knowing this will greatly reduce the difficulty of learning martial arts
*********Omniscient POV**********
"Class welcome your new classmates." The teacher said after the girls had done their introduction.
~Round of applause.~ The class clapped.
Contrary to what was to be expected, only a few of the boy's in the class seemed to show any interest in love or liking towards the new girls.
Well, that's on the surface though, some MIGHT coat their feelings to look cool, who knows right?
You know, it's beginning to seem like the more you make a move towards a girl you like the harder it is to get her.
So the best way is to not show any signs of interest towards her and turn up whenever she needs someone.
(Hehe, your author's such a love genius with his single a$$ 😅)
"I'm Priscilla Godwin, from the Godwin's household.
As you all know, my family is one of those who created the strongest Martial arts. '12 rib crushing fist'.
I hope we get along." The red-haired girl said.
~Clap, clap, cheers~
"I love your family martial arts styles, Priscilla!" A boy shouted from among the students shouted.
In this martial arts world, there are 14 top martial art skills that are known as the most dangerous and effective.
These skills are called "Pillars" as they share the balance of powers amongst themselves.
"And I'm Emma Lucian, from Lucian's household.
My family is responsible for inventing the 'Twilight steps'. It's nice to meet you all."
~Clap, clap clap~
The class clapped as they welcomed them. Who wouldn't, it's rare to have a member of the "Pillar's" household attend the school.
But this year, not only one but two of them are in the same class.
I bet everyone is probably thinking of making them their good friends now.
Meanwhile at the back was the sleeping Henry and Gideon who was engrossed in the book he was holding.
Both of them didn't even pay attention to what was going on.
"Go take your seats," The teacher said to the girls.
As they both headed to take their seats. The only space available was a sit right in front of where Gideon and Henry were sitting.
On reaching there, Emma sighted Gideon's sit and headed towards it.
On getting to his seat which he shared with Henry...
~bang!~
She banged her hand on his desk.
Gideon simply looked away from his book and stared at her with a confused expression.
"You thief, you were the one I caught yesterday stealing our family crest symbol right?!" She raged.
The confused Gideon just looked at her while raising an eyebrow in confusion.
*Steal? Me? Yesterday? What the hell is she talking about?* He thought confused.
"Not you, I'm talking to the thief beside you!" Emma said understanding Gideon's confusion.
She was not concerned about her reputation or the murmuring coming from the students.
Gideon tried to confirm what she said pointing at the sleeping Henry with his thumb, gesturing to Emma "Him?"
"Yes, him, that filthy thief even sleeps in the class," Emma said understanding his gesture.
Gideon felt awkward as he tapped on Henry to wake him up.
"Hey bro, wake up, you have a visitor," Gideon said.
Henry woke up and rubbing his eyes he yawned from tiredness.
He was indeed handsome. He had light blue long hair and red Scarlett eyes. He was charming, a little bit more than Gideon was.
"A visitor?" He said looking at Gideon.
"Yep."
"Hey, I didn't notice you were this handsome Gideon, hehe" Henry teased.
"Sorry bro, but you're not my type," Gideon said irritated
"Hehe, I just woke up to see your beautiful face, shouldn't I have complimented you, plus the bandage makes you look extra attractive today" Henry teased.
"You thief, you're disgusting, irritating, and dumb!" Emma yelled
"Woah, relax princess, what's up?" Henry said
"What's up?! You stole my family's crest and you're asking me what's up?" Emma yelled.
"Huh? Sorry, do I know you? I don't even remember being a thief and stealing from such an esteemed family" Henry said.
"Woah, I thought you were sleeping, how do you know that she's from a renowned family?" Gideon asked.
"Hehe, just a fluke, someone as beautiful as her couldn't possibly be from a poor family background now, could she?" Henry said.
"Drop your flattery, you know what you did!" Emma raged out
"Sorry, I have no idea of what you're talking about princess" Henry denied.
"You...!" Emma was about to let out more of her rage at Henry but the teacher interrupted.
"I think you've disrupted the class enough Miss Emma, now if you don't mind, I'll like to get the class started," The teacher said calmly.
~Tsk~
She clicked her tongue before sitting beside Priscilla.
In this school, nobody is guilty of anything. The law does not extend to the school.
As far as a student is in class, he cannot be charged with anything, even if he's a murderer. While in school, he's just a normal innocent student.
That's the rule of this school, you can do anything you want to the student once he's out of school.
The rules were set by the "Pillars".
After the class ended, it was time for the martial arts practical.
Before everyone headed to the practical hall Emma glared at Henry and he just smiled back at her.
Confused Gideon looked at both of them.
*What's up with these two? Anyway, it looks like things are going to finally get interesting.*
He said while heading for the door trailing behind Henry.
