"Who is it?" My mother's ask.
The door opened and her eye's opened widely.
"You're here? How did you manage to get out?" She suddenly grabs and hug me.
"Mom I'll explain, but I have someone with me so please refrain yourself." I said as I remove mother from my embrace.
"Who is this guy? Oh a soldier? Did you commit a crime?"
Mother look at me with curiosity.
"Please call Dad and this guy will explain everything. I think you will be able to handle what you were about to hear anyway since you are always watching the news." I said and we all entered the house.
Mom immediately run to their room to fetch Dad up.
"Sorry for that, please explain things to them for me. I'm really hungry and tired. Please don't be shy and ask Mom or Dad for anything you need. They are both very accommodating." I said as I guided him to the sofa.
I put my backpack beside him.
"You have a very nice family."
He said.
"Yeah, they kinda worry a lot about me since I'm the only one who remain here and the only gay as well. My brother and sisters already left here to build their family somewhere."
I am not the type of person who is not open to his gender. I love myself and I accept it by heart. Not telling others who I really am early on will only give them false expectations from me so it's better if they are aware on who am I so if they don't like to hang out with the likes of me then I could immediately cross them out of my life.
But nowadays people are much open and my gender hasn't been criticized since grade 3 I think.
He nodded and I walk out to get some food and I place it in the table right in front of us.
Mom and Dad has been with the soldier already. Dad hug me immediately after seeing me.
"Good you came back here safe."
Dad said with a tearing eye.
"Yes Dad, Mom and Dad let us eat first. We're very hungry and we haven't sleep the entire night."
"Oh yes sure. I'll prepare you some drinks." Mom said and she then go to the kitchen to fetch some.
"Thanks mom" I said and I give a plate to Clark.
"Thanks" He said. It seems like he is hungry as well.
"Please eat a lot then rest after. We still have things to do later."
He nodded and immediately grab foods.
"Things to do? What are you going to do later?" Dad ask.
"Dad, he'll tell you after we eat." I said and he just nodded.
Mother brought us water and soft drinks as she arrived while we eat.
Father turned on the Television and we all watch the news. It seems like awakened people are all over the Philippines now. And Marinduque has been taken by undead.
Some gates has been closed already especially at the Luzon area by the help and cooperation of the awakened people.
It seems like you need to enter the Dungeon Gate and defeat the boss inside inorder to close it.
If that's the thing then I guess we really need to fight the boss inside the dungeon inorder to close it.
"Flash report, a huge magical barrier has been erected in the entirety of Esperanza Elementary School. Let's hear the entirety of the report from our witness. Sir please."
A soldier that asked my autograph and survived last night has been given a microphone by the reporter.

I drank my soft drinks and continue watching.I couldn't believe what I'm seeing after all.
"Sir why was a barrier erected here in Esperanza? And who did it?"
The reporter ask.
"Sorry I couldn't reveal the name of the awakened individual who erected the barrier here. The barrier has been erected here since refugee are all here. He just want this place to be secured while he was away, resting."
My heart for some reason has been broken a little. I was really expecting him to reveal my name so I could get at least a hundred likes to my pitiful facebook profile picture that only has 3 likes and all of them are from my friends that I force to like it. But I could also understand that he is not in the position to reveal anything.
"Then Sir tell us anything that you could say about this individual."
"Oh, he is a good citizen of the country. He actually stayed all night just to guide all people to where they should go. We also ask around and it seems like he is someone who jump out of the truck that will bring you here in Esperanza just to save a kid even if he was left behind. He actually save us as well, we are about to be killed by the giant snakes when our truck fell sideway, then he suddenly erected a barrier between the snake and us. He also healed our wounds and also kill the snakes that chases after us using a spell that freezes the snakes inside a towering ice. He also kill all the monsters that scapes the portal using spears made of light that chases their target and he also brought us here with his magic."
"Wow, such a person exist?"
"He sure is. Actually he will return here later to help us close the gates. I will be partaking as well, as a guard to that person. If you ask me if I will still join if he wasn't around my answer would be no. The difference of having him and not having is very huge. It's basically a suicide mission to enter the dungeon gate without him, knowing that the monsters there could ignore damages from bullets and bombs. Only his magic are effective against them. Though I didn't know if other awakened could kill them but I'm sure that our guy would be able to do the job."
"It's seems like the person who erected the anti-monsters barrier here in Esperanza is an amazing guy with strong abilities."
The soldier suddenly interrupt and the reporter look at him.
"Uhmm sorry I forgot to mention something important. To all citizen of Bayugan City please evacuate here in Esperanza Elementary School. This place is the safest so please come here until we manage to close the gate."
Wow, this guy is really over rate my barrier with the term the safest. The Luzon area are doing great actually so I think that area is the safest place in this country.

It seems like the reporter takes too much time and wanted to end it immediately.
Both Clark and I look at each other. It seems like he was trying to read me.
I look away and drink my water.
"If you couldn't come here I would probably agree that it's best for you to stay at Esperanza. Those awakened are really awesome. To make a barrier that prevent monsters from coming is only a work of a person sent by God. I thank you lord for returning Archie here safe and helping us deal with the monsters through this awakened individuals."
Mom prayed as I cough heavily after drinking the water on a wrong pipe.
I stood up and get the dishes to clean it when suddenly Clark grab my left arm.
"I'll do that." He said with a straight face.
"No no it's fine. Just tell them everything, it seems like I couldn't face them if I told them the truth. Also convince them to let me join you in the operation. I think you were sent here to deal with this kind of problems. " I look at him with a teary eye and it seems very effective.
His face turned red and he faces the other side.
"Ok I'll tell them."
I smiled as a replied.
I then place my attention to my Mom and Dad.
"Mom, Dad, he will tell you now on why he's here. Please let him rest after in a vacant room and please accommodate him. He hasn't sleep the entire night just to do his Job in the front lines."
"He's a Frontliner?" My father ask in shocked.
"Just ask him that. I will now take my rest after I do the dishes, I haven't taken any sleep the entire day yesterday up until now."
"Oh no, just leave the dishes at the kitchen, I'll do it later. Go now and take some rest."
I accept Mom's offer without hesitation since I'm really tired. I could feel that my body is becoming lighter already.
I go to my bedroom and decided to take a shower first and as I shower I begun to think of different scenarios that we might encounter inside the dungeon.
I look at the archive of spells that I might use and now I notice that I have probably 2 brains or maybe my thinking has been split into 2? I think I heard it in a novel before, parallel thought? I'm not sure.
I can see the archive while I'm seeing the real world. I haven't realize this earlier and it's really convenient.
I could probably cite two incantations at the same time if I memorize the chant for those.
I look around more in the archive and it seems like there are recipe there for alchemy and also guides for creating magic items, I would probably become a magic artisan at this rate.
It seems like my future has been secured with this.
And if worst comes to worst and my life will be in great danger. I still have my greatest trump card the skill...
