As I was standing in the magic circle full of wires and converting electricity into mana, the Lieutenant suddenly worries.
"Are you sure that you are not being electrocuted there? My hair is even standing you know?"
"Oh yes, it's seems like I'll be full with all of this electricity in about 5-7 minutes." I said and he just nodded.
"Hey are you gay? Is there a chance for you to return being a real man?" He asks out of nowhere.
"What the hell are you saying out of nowhere? If you offend me in anyway, I will leave immediately."
"No no no, I have a daughter and she is beautiful. Maybe you could..." I immediately stoped him.
"Ew, could you please not sell your daughter to me? If you have a handsome son then maybe I'll entertain him, having you as my in-laws is probably not that bad hahaha."
I said as I imagine how handsome his son probably is considering how good looking of a man is the Lieutenant.
"Eh, I don't want to give you my son. I don't think he has a thing for people like you anyway."
"Then forget it. You can't have me hahaha. I know what's going on in your mind, you are probably planning on using me for political agenda. Though I don't hate the thought of it, but if you can't offer me something that I like then there is no reason for me to stay on your side right?"
I said my honest opinion. Actually allying with someone who has power in politics is a good choice to me. Since it will allow me to have favorable laws that benefit and protects me. Especially by the time when I started creating and selling magic items.
"Hmmm... I didn't expect you to be this clever. You probably would know as well how beneficial it is for you to have me as your backer."
"Yes, but you are not the only one who could provide me with what I need. I could still achieve what I desire if I ally myself to the others. I could already predict somehow, how the world will change to accommodate beings like me."
"What are you planning to do? Do you have intentions of claiming Philippines to yourself?"
"I can but I won't since managing a country is not my forte. What I want however is to create a form of government which rule and protect over other awakened to ensure that they won't abuse their powers or get tangled to political agendas."
The Lieutenant then begins to think about it.
"I think that form of government is surely needed. But I don't think you could be the head for such organization considering your age. At best, you could be main fighting force of that organization."
"Bingo." I smiled as I reply.
"I see, so you are looking for someone that could do that for you? You are already thinking about this the whole time do you?"
"Yeah kinda. I know that it's only a matter of time before our awaken here use their powers for a no good. It's not even impossible to think that someone out there is scheming on how to initiate a coup d'état using the power of the awakens. Someone has to check on them and I want that to be me temporarily."
"Temporarily?"
"Yes, temporarily, I don't think I'm suited for that kind of job anyway. There is something that I want to do after that and it doesn't involve politics."
"I see. So you are planning on building the foundation that will protect the people from awakened. I understand your goals now."
"It's not just protecting people from the rouge awakens but also protect the interest of the awakens, the head of that organization will probably be able to achieve a lot of things since it's a new industry and will be able to boost his public image. If that person runs for presidency next election, I am sure that the chances having the majority vote is not slim."
The Lieutenant's eye sparkled for a moment.
"Ehmm... I have two sons and a daughter. I will introduce you to them."
He said, selling his son's snd daughter without hesitation.
"You are kinda mean to your children. You really didn't hesitate to sell them to me."
"Huh? I'm not selling them to you. I will just introduce you to them and you can see if you like someone among them. If you go out with any of them then I will not complain and will gladly accept you to the family, but if you didn't or no one in my children likes you then I'll just abandon my thoughts."
Hmm... I guess he's right. I couldn't really call it selling since he's not forcing any of his children to marry me or forcing me to marry any of them. It couldn't be called dating either. He's just basically introducing us to each other and wether things go that way then it's up to us.
My gosh, being single my whole life really made me do this kind of things. I hope that the Lieutenant is not thinking that I'm desperately looking for relationship.
"Hmmm... That's acceptable, then I guess I'll have you are my business partner then." I said and I unconsciously extend my hand towards him.
"Do you want me to get electrocuted?" Be asked then I remembered that yeah, I am standing in electric field.
"Oh sorry, starting today I will not move unless you order me. If the government want something from me they will have to go through you. You could also use my name anytime you want. That way, you will receive credits."
"Sounds like a good idea. I will also ensure that you will not received unfair or unreasonable demands."
I nodded and smile. This is probably the start of my new life as an awakened individual who received special power out of nowhere.
*Knock²
Suddenly a knock could be heard behind the door.
"Lieutenant the helicopter has landed just now." Report the soldier.
"Right on time. I'm fully recharge now."
I said and begin chanting my spell.
--Time Journey--
The spell has been invoke and the wire move on their own and repair themselves.
"You really could restore everything. I couldn't fully believe the report that states that the entire Bayugan city is fine and no property damages could be seen aside from human casualties. I guess I could fully believe it now seeing it myself."
He said while we walk outside to where the helicopter landed.
"Yes."
"Hearing you say Time in your spell, couldn't you use it to revive people if you return them back to themselves when they are still alive?" He said.
"I could heal their bodies by doing that but they are still dead. It seems like souls will never be affected by time spells. Even space spells is not that effective against them."
"I see, so it's not a matter of physical injury but spiritual one."
"Yes, it seems like the souls of the dead will escape the body after dying and it's impossible to return them using time and space spell even if the soul is still lying around. I need to use forbidden and evil spells if I want to revive someone whose soul is still around and use several dark magic so that the soul wouldn't wonder outside the body when the body is asleep."
"I guess it's not easy to do it even for you."
"True"
We then arrived at the helicopter and ride it. We are wearing headphones since its very noisy.
The helicopter lift up and I expected to feel fear since I have fear of heights and I could see what's below because I am at the window but it seems like my fear of heights has vanished. Is it related to my awakening?
I then used my mana detection to lock the first destination gate and it's within my senses now.
"Please stop moving forward. I'll crack open the space now." I said in the headphones and the pilot stop moving the chopper.
I then use Space Rift and the space has been reap apart revealing the other city infront of the flying helicopter.
"Please go to the other side."
The rift in the space is huge enough for the entire helicopter to pass through safely.
"The gate is below us. Could you already tell from here the difficulty." The Lieutenant ask.
"Yes, it's on the easy category. I could feel awakened people and soldiers here crushing the monsters one after another, I think they could close it on their own."
"I see, thanks for that, lets proceed now to the next destination." The Lieutenant suggested.
"I think I'll go down to put waypoint in this area. I'll return here later when I have time to repair all the damages." I said.
"Ok, Pilot please land us."
"No need to land us. I will use magic to go down myself. I'll teleport inside the helicopter so don't worry about me." I said and open the door and jump.
I couldn't see their Reactions for my sudden action but I guess, the loss of my fear makes me reckless.
--Make me weightless oh gravity. Levitate--
I suddenly stopped falling and levitated on about half a meter on the ground.
I then release my mana and I fall.
I immediately mark the place with my mana to make a waypoint here when suddenly I detected monsters coming to my direction. I don't want to waste mana against them so I immediately teleport back to the helicopter.
I am now back at the helicopter like nothing happened.
"I'm back. Let's proceed now to the next gate. I couldn't detect the next one from here, I guess we need to fly a little." I spoke.
"You are too reckless you now. You almost give me a heart attack."
"You'll get used to it someday. After all I'm not normal."
