Chapter 5 - Previously On: Chaotic Stupid. Chapter 4.

"He's supposed to be dead!"

"Yes, well-"

"Well? Well, he isn't! Find him and bring him to me."

"For?" Desiree heard an assistant ask Marques. "To be friends… To kill him, of course! Gosh, I have to do everything myself!" He yelled out as he stormed out of the office and into another room. After hearing that, Desiree turned back to where she came from. She ran back to the exit where she and James split up. She didn't know if he was still looking for a wait, if he had gotten out, or anything. But if he had found a way out or not, all she could do was go through that hall.

Not even ten minutes of wandering around the hall passed once she found an open office. With James walking around in it.

"Ah, finally. I found you, " She said, entering the office. The first thing she saw was James walking towards her towards the door. "Uhm… I can -" he said as she acknowledged the man laying flat on the office desk. With a wound and blood staining his shirt. The blood covered the wounded area and slowly spread across his chest.

"I swear he was like that when I found him," James said, pushing Desiree out of the room. "You have a knife covered in blood.." She said as he attempted to shake the blood off. "I found it like that,"

"You killed him!", "I feel there was a lack of communication somewhere in the process…", "I believe that was the one thing I told you not to do!""Did you think I'd listen!", ".. Yes!", "Oh…", "What happened to not being capable of hurting a fly?" Desiree asked James, directing her around the hall by her arm. "Well, he isn't a fly, is he?", "That's not how it works!", "Well look at the bright side Desi-", "What bright side? We're stuck somewhere we shouldn't be. Can't find a way out. And you killed a man. And I heard your boss saying he's going to kill someone! Oh, and above all that, we never found a reason why you were being spied on!" She yelled as she made him let go of her arm. "I was going to say, the bright side was we are still alive. And I found a key to get us out. But I'm guessing about two people heard you yell. And now we are screwed." He whispered to her, grabbing her arm again. "And how do you know someone heard me?" She asked him. "Well, because if you wouldn't have been focused on yelling at me, you would have seen that two guys are talking around the corner." He said as she looked over the corner of the wall to see two guys around the hall. "And I believe they are looking for whoever just yelled out that I killed someone. And that I work here. And that we know my boss is planning on killing someone." James said as she saw the two guys turn around in their direction. And she hid against the wall, out of their sight. "How about we just call it a day?" "How exactly? Their standing in front of the exit, ""Running?", "That really shouldn't sound like a question." "Then what do you suggest?", "Nothing really," James said, looking at the keycard he took out of his pocket.

"I have a plan," Desiree said, turning to look at James. "Is it a good plan?" He asked her, looking up from the card. "...I have a solution!", "Sigh. Thank goodness.", "It involves fire-", "Absolutely not.", "It's a 'relaxing' solution.", "What- How is a solution 'relaxing, especially if it involves you, and fire." He asked, concerned. "What's more relaxing than setting something on fire?", "A lot of things!", "Fine, no fire, don't worry. I have another idea then. ""What's your brilliant idea?" James asked. Regretting his life choice of trusting her.

"Give me your phone," She said, looking over the corner again. "For?", "Try connecting to a speaker near here," She said. "What?", "Just do it," She said, looking at him.

After a minute, he handed over his phone to Desiree. "It's connected to the speaker in the last office we passed.", "Can it be heard from here?""loud and clear." She looked up audio on his phone for a while until she found one that worked. "Don't tell me.."

Before he could say anything else, a loud fire alarm played over the speakers. "Go, go already, you bastards," She whispered as she looked over at them. "Is this really -" Before he attempted to second guess her, the two guys ran over to another far side of the fall. "Morons.." She whispered again as she slowly made her way out of the corner they were in. "Now we can run." She said as James ran ahead. He inserted the keycard and opened the exit. "See? No fire needed, " She said as they ran out the back of the building. "If I weren't able to connect to the speaker, you would have caused a fire. Wouldn't you?" He asked, already knowing the answer. "Oh, definitely. But you made it boring.", "This'll cause me trouble once they find out it was my phone causing the alarm."

"Yeah. This is the worst and dumbest idea I've ever had." She said as they reached a street in front of the main building. "And yet, you'll probably blame me for it once we get caught," James said as they continued to walk down the street. "Oh, of course. But I thought it'd be nice, to be honest, for a moment… It wasn't." She said, reaching a stop sign. "Well." She said, waiting for it to turn green. "I'll see you the next time I mess up!" Desiree said, as it turned green and she started walking. "Don't you want to find out where you live? Or go home?" He yelled out behind her. "I have to move out of the hotel. I paid for one more night. I'm not letting that money go to waste." She yelled as she turned around to face him, still walking. "I'll call you whenever I feel like going home," She shouted out to him. Continuing to go down the street, before the sign turned red.

'Please don't get yourself killed,' he thought. Watching her walk off further.
