THE SUN WAS rising higher as midday approached. Adda had been walking for way too long, and yet she didn’t plan on returning home yet. She needed time away from her house, from her family. However, her plans seemed skewed when she noticed a familiar figure. She tried to casually turn away, hoping he hadn’t seen her, but…
“Adda? Is that you? I thought you were still in uni!”
The man approached her, his characteristic smug smile on his face. Adda mentally sighed. She definitely didn’t need to talk to him now.
“Yes, hello to you too, Travis.”
He chuckled.
“And sporting a dress, hey? Things sure have changed for both of us!”
Adda arched an eyebrow. As far as she had heard, many first years at university included parties and alcohol with frequency, and he couldn’t imagine Travis skipping one of those. Especially not when he was away from his parents, unsupervised, and with a bunch of new friends to impress.
“Really? How has it changed anything for you?”
