“Hey, sunshine, how are u?”
After typing the message, her fingers rubbed the decorated phone case, expectant.
“Tania, c’mere a moment!”
Her mother yelled, somewhere downstairs.
“Comin’!”
She answered.
Tania pressed “send” and waited, just to see the message was received yet Adda never responded. It had been a few days already, and Tania knew she should have been okay if her partner didn’t respond in the moment, but she was worried because Adda always DID respond in the moment.
Tania looked at the hour, she hadn’t gotten confused, it was time Adda should be heading home and she usually answered Tania. In fact, it was strange in itself that Adda hadn’t asked her to meet on the weekend, she usually did.
