THE SETTING SUN slowly darkened Adda’s path, making her steps become faster and louder. Even with the need to reach her home before nightfall in her mind, she couldn’t prevent herself from yawning, it definitely had been another demanding day at work. Adda just wanted to settle in her room and she was feeling her eyes sore by the time she reached the block of flats.

As she padded along the corridor of doors containing a multitude of neighbors, a faint echo caught her ears. The closer she got to her destination, the stronger the noise became until discerning a heated argument coming from her apartment. She sighed and cursed internally, all her patience had run off after dealing with rude and entitled customers, and her social battery was long due too. She took the keys out of her bag and prepared herself for whatever she might find.

“Not again! You can keep playing dumb, William!”
