Chapter 2 - North vs south

CHAPTER 2

As the bus hissed to a stop, a man with a head full of tightly coiled locks stepped onto the vehicle, his Buddha-like smile radiating a sense of peace and serenity. His attire was gentle and tranquil, like a warm breeze on a summer's day.

The man was bundled up in a thick sweater, as though he were carrying a piece of winter with him wherever he went. The fabric hugged his broad shoulders and emphasized his lean physique, lending him an air of quiet confidence and understated strength.

As he walked, his curly hair swaying with each step, the other passengers couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over them. His presence was like a balm for the soul, a reminder that even amidst the chaos and rush of daily life, it was possible to find moments of peace and tranquility.

He walked toward her seat carrying a bulky travel bag and said, "Can you take off your bag?" Oops, sorry, can I sit here, ma'am?

Nikki cleared her throat and said, "Of course, I'm sorry, please sit down."

He unpacked his belongings and sat beside her with a pleasant smile. But her heart starts to tremble and she starts thinking of this mysterious man. She wants to know about him, but she pretends that she doesn't care about strangers.

"Don't look at him," says Brain.

Heart commented to her" just read him "isn't he intriguing??" Finally, she doesn't want to obey her heart. but after five minutes, the same Buddha-like voice popped into her ears.

Do you have water? I feel thirsty!

"Yeah sure," Nikki said as he drank the entire bottle and thanked her.

"enoda Peru nikitha" (my name is nikitha in Tamil) said Nikki.

He hesitantly replied, Adhvik.

She was hurt by his terse response. She thought maybe he doesn't want to talk with me; he may be scared of strangers now a days.

Drizzle became stronger, but still she faces the window, watching the sceneries by laying her head toward the window, but she felt she was in the spotlight by someone watching deeply her moves, and she turned to confirm

He turns his head.

They smiled naughtily together

"I'm Adhvik Kaushik from Haryana," he said, and where are you from?

Nikki: "OK, I'm from Tamil Nadu." I thought you were from Tamil Nadu too."

"I'm sorry for disappointing you," Adhvik said

"No, that's perfect and interesting," Nikki chuckled.

Adhvik "I felt the same; you are an interesting person."

Nikki "how come "?

Adhvik "It's been half an hour and you're still watching windows. You appear to be an introverted person, don't you?

"You don't know who I am," Nikki said. Your ears would burst as I talked. warn you, Ok, Advik, tell me about you...

Adhvik: As a software engineer, I got a call letter from a reputed company in Delhi now, so I am shifting to Delhi from Vellore."

Nikki said "best wishes," but where have you been?

Adhvik: "I worked in Vellore for three months." And he goes on to say, "Basically, I am an enthusiastic engineer.....responsible son...respected brother...good farmer....then he added, "Perhaps in the future, Lovable boyfriend."

Women are more likely to fall in love with a responsible man than with a handsome man. She has seen his way of loving his family and admires him, while respect and a good impression start to grow within her heart.

"What about you, Nikitha?" Adhvik inquired. "How was your life?"

Nikki" hesitantly i am...let's be honest, don't ask anything about me?

Adhvik "Cool, I zipped my lips, "and he smiled.

After a brief pause, they begin to converse.

Nikki" mmm haryana!!!!! Tell me a unique thing about Haryana."

Adhvik sports: Haryana people are very competitive, with bulky sportsmanship...

"So, Nikki, are you interested in anything?"

Adhvik "kabbadi"

"It's a legendary sport founded in Tamil Nadu," says Nikki.

"Yes, I heard of it," Adhvik said, "Tamil Nadu is also rich in sports."

Nikki looked at him once more and said, "I'm nothing."

Adhvik said "what?"

Nikki "You were asked about me. I'm nothing. I'm empty, irresponsible, and a bunch of failure."

Adhvik notices her words "you can open up with me" quietly.

Nikki continues, "I am the woman who seeks freedom from burdens."

"What makes you feel burdened?" Adhvik asks.

Nikki said "failures."

Adhvik said, "I don't know what you were going through, but trust me, you are an amazing woman who didn't give up on her dream. I'm so proud of you."

Nikki saw him with a twinkle in her eyes. "Thanks, "you know you are the first one who said this."

Adhvik: "Every phase of life will be hard; it's a never-ending cycle; struggles are there in every phase; it will make you strong; be the survivor. Do not give up.

They exchange glances and laughs.

"Oh, well, I could tell you're a good motivator," she said.

She turned and checked out her sister's texts, and she placed her hand in the front seat and streched her lats. He noticed her hand.

"Nice nails and creative colors," he said.

She blushed and looked at him. He saw her eyes. They became motionless for a few seconds. Their eyes started to communicate. She bit her lips and smiled.

She wants to continue her conversation, but she wasn't sure where to start or what to say, but her heart started to comment and ask about his personal life.

She braced herself and asked "How about your girlfriend?"

"I'm single," he replied.

However, you stated that you will be a lovable boyfriend.

"But I'm not yet taken," he said. She felt relief and giggled out of excitement with herself, and he noticed her excitement and asked her

Are you single?

Nikki replied happily, "I'm happily single "but was broken once.

He inquired, "Are you also broken?"

Nikki "Yes," but please don't want to talk about that. I hope you understand.

He said I can understand

"So you're going to Delhi," Nikki says.

"Yes, I have to be at the airport by 10.30 a.m. tonight," he said.

Nikki, it's just 1 pm. Why are you earlier?

He stated, "I don't want to miss the flight."

Nikki's "safe journey adhvik"

Adhvik: "Why don't you send me off?" See, I don't know anything about Chennai locations, and I don't have anyone to help me with it."

"Google Maps is there," says Nikki.

Adhvik laughed again and continued, "Forget it, I just have 8 hours in Tamil Nadu. I just want to spend those hours with you and make the best memories.

And he continues, Would you like to have dinner and coffee with me?

Again, their eyes locked on each other, and she asked, "How can I trust you?"

Adhvik says, "I'm a 24 year old NIT graduate man. I won't sell your kidney. and he laughs.

Nikki collapsed. She became trembling and head spinning. Wait what? No, her wave of these memories was broken by hearing something she didn't want to hear.
