Chapter 8 - WAY TO LIGHT

As the beach turned dark, ominous dark clouds swallowed the edge of the sea, causing the once calm waters to become turbulent. The streetlights flickered and abruptly lost power, enveloping the surroundings in an eerie darkness. Amidst this gloom, Nikki caught sight of a gleam of light emanating from the distant lighthouse.

Nikki turned to her fairy god boyfriend, a magical companion who had always been by her side. With urgency in her voice, she implored, "Fairy Godboyfriend, I need to visit the lighthouse now. There's something drawing me towards it, something I can't ignore. Please, help me make my way there."

Kaushik "Are you crazy?"

She remarked, "When I went there last time, it was so crowded that I couldn't fully savor the moment. But look, now there seems to be no one there. Let's go; this might be the perfect opportunity."

He questioned, "But how can we go there? It's unlikely they would allow us access at this particular moment."

Nikki paused for a moment, contemplating the situation. Realizing the potential barriers they might face, she replied with determination, "You're right, Kaushik. It may not be easy, but perhaps there's a way. Let's at least try and see if we can find someone who can grant us permission or provide guidance."

Together, Nikki and Kaushik began their quest to locate a lighthouse authority or staff member who could shed light on the situation. They walked along the beach, scanning the surroundings for any sign of assistance.

Nikki said, "Just wait a minute; I'll be back."

Nikki engaged in a conversation with the warden, hoping to sway their decision in her favor. With a charming smile, she pleaded, "Please, I have a deep longing to visit the lighthouse. Is there any way you could grant me permission, even if just for half an hour? I assure you, it would mean the world to me."

The warden hesitated for a moment, considering Nikki's earnest request. Sensing an opportunity, Nikki discreetly slipped a small bribe into the warden's hand, her eyes filled with desperation and a glimmer of hope

As the warden's eyes widened in surprise, a flicker of temptation crossed their face. Succumbing to the allure of the bribe, they finally relented and nodded in agreement. "Alright, but only for half an hour. Make sure to adhere to the rules and be careful," the warden cautioned, their resolve weakened by the offering.

Nikki's heart skipped a beat as she expressed her gratitude, hiding a mix of relief and excitement. She knew time was precious, and she wouldn't waste a single moment of her fleeting opportunity

As Nikki and Kaushik stepped into the lighthouse, their voices echoed within the enclosed walls. Curiosity filled Nikki's voice as she turned to Kaushik and asked, "Have you ever visited a lighthouse before?"

Kaushik shook his head, a hint of excitement in his eyes. "No, this is my first time," he replied. "I've heard that it's an incredible experience, especially when you can watch the vast sea from such a height. I'm sure you'll love it."

Nikki's anticipation grew as she absorbed Kaushik's words. The prospect of witnessing the grandeur of the sea from the lighthouse's elevated perspective filled her with wonder. She couldn't wait to reach the top and immerse herself in the breathtaking view that awaited them.

As they reached the top of the lighthouse, a profound silence fell upon Nikki and Kaushik, captivated by the haunting beauty of the surrounding darkness. Nikki couldn't contain her astonishment and exclaimed, "How could something so dark become so breathtakingly beautiful?"

Kaushik, his voice filled with awe, agreed, "Yes, it's truly magnificent. The way the darkness engulfs everything, creating an atmosphere of mystery and allure."

As they stood there, a gentle breeze accompanied by rain caressed their faces, its soft touch resembling the pricking of miniature needles. They closed their eyes, embracing the sensation, as if being embraced by the enigmatic power of nature itself.

Kaushik" thanks"

Nikki, " for what?"

Nikki, "What do you see?"

Kaushik "In a woman's heart, a cloud may loom, Concealing emotions like a silent tomb.

Yet through the darkness, strength will bloom. Resilience shines, dispelling the gloom.

Nikki: "You surprise me, dude, seriously."

Kaushik: "Yeah, I love poems and philosophy."

Nikki: "Cool, tell me your favorite poem."

Kaushik"

It is said that before entering the sea

a river trembles with fear.

She looks back at the path she has traveled, from the peaks of the mountains,

the long winding road crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her,

she sees an ocean so vast,

that to enter there seems nothing more than to disappear But there is no other way.

The river can not go back.

Nobody can go back.

To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk

of ering the ocean

because only then will fear disappear,

it's not about disappearing into the ocean,

but of becoming the ocean.

Two minutes of silence passed, and then she exclaimed, "Wow".

Kaushik, this is not my poem; it was written by Khalil Gibron.

Nikki I wondered about your taste in poetry and philosophy; it's not common. I read poems when I was in the 10th standard.

POEMS AND PHILOSOPHY WILL OPEN YOUR MIND. ACTUALLY, I READ MANY books in mathematics; it was breath-taking in future technology. My grandparents were mathematicians.

You are creeping, for sure. You are talking philosophy in mathematics.
