"Stop it, don't try to play with me and my feelings again." Emelda said gently pushing Diego off her after they had finish having a lot of shots, she was a bit tipsy but she still stopped his advances.
"What do you mean?" Diego asked pretending not to understand.
"This is exactly what you did to me four years ago."
"Do you think I will remain the same after four years?" He asked.
"I don't know." She replied and he said.
"I am not."
"I don't believe you. I am leaving, good luck finding the one for you Diego." She said to him and left not giving him any chances to clear himself.
"Damn, she is still as beautiful as she was four years ago." Diego said after a sigh and smiled at himself.
Jaden came back a while later with more medicines, groceries and a small carton.
"I hope you didn't need anything while I was gone?" Jaden asked and she shook her head.
He placed the medicine on the table and went to the kitchen to arrange the groceries in the fridge and cabinets.
Jaden is a very clean man who is also very good at cooking, he used to cook with his late wife who is a local chef.
They were planning on how to start their own small restaurant, they had gotten a building with a kitchen but they were unable to complete the rent before his daughter sudden death.
He came back into the room with cold water in a bowl and a towel, he squeezed out little water from the towel and placed it on her forehead as she laid down trying to relieve her of her headache.
Suddenly the door bell was heard and he hurriedly went to see who was at the door.
"Mike, Jenny!" He called with a smile and moved away from the door to allow them in.
"Are they the only ones you saw at the door?" Mrs. Claire asked rudely.
"I am sorry ma'am, good morning." He apologized and greeted.
They all went in to see Mylar. Jaden called their home late last night when Mylar's sickness started but no one answered and so he left a voicemail.
As soon as Mike heard the voicemail, he announced it to everyone and they all rushed to Jaden's house quickly.
"How are you feeling now?" Mike asked her feeling her temperature with the back of his hand.
"What is the cause of this illness, that is what we should be asking." Mrs. Claire chipped in interrupting her son.
"Did you do something to our daughter?" Mr. Jeremy asked senselessly making Mylar angry even in her current state.
"What nonsense are you two saying?" Mylar asked raising her voice, her head hurt and she immediately kept quiet.
"Please, don't stress her out." Jaden said to them and offered to get them something to drink, Mike and Jenny went along with him.
"What is really wrong with you? Should we take you to a hospital? Don't worry I will pay for it." Mrs. Claire said to her daughter.
"With my insurance right?" Mylar asked and Mrs. Claire saw that she was caught, she simply kept quiet.
"Dear, you should just get well soon. Should we shift you to our own house?" Mr. Jeremy asked showing concern.
"No, I would rather remain here than go to our house and worsen my sickness by seeing you both argue everyday." Mylar replied and the two look at each other.
Even their children do not believe them anymore. The things their children didn't know about them was that, these two actually loved each other a lot when they first met at that stadium twenty-four years ago.
Jeremy Rodriguez was a poor man who worked several shifts at local restaurants in other to take care of himself, his grandmother and little sister after both his parents divorced and left them all alone to marry different spouses.
One day he went to the stadium frustrated and determined to do just one thing to make himself happy, he was so tired of his life and just wanted one day of happiness.
He sat at the rails near the staircase because he didn't have money to get himself a seat.
"Hey, ain't you going to get yourself a seat?" He heard a sweet feminine voice asked him. He quickly turned around and looked up at the woman standing above his head.
He got up to take a closer look at her, she was the most beautiful girl he's ever seen, her eyes were brown and glowy, her skin chocolate and glossy, her lips were dark sexy and inviting, her body was something else, she was so curvy and her cheerleading outfit showed off that figure perfecting.
Jeremy being a very responsible and decent boy never showed any interest in any girl because he didn't want any side distractions in his life at the moment but this lady was so distracting that he couldn't stop staring at her.
"Are you listening to what I am saying?" The lady asked waving her hand in front of his face while continued to stare at her.
"Sorry, I don't have money to get a seat. Am I not allowed to seat here?" Jeremy asked quietly with a lot of sadness in his voice.
"Kind of." She said and smiled.
"The name's Claire, Claire Smith." She said again and tried to stretch her hand for a handshake but the stuffs in her hands was stopping her.
She laughed at herself and apologized.
"Sorry, I can give you a handshake." Jeremy was amused by her and smiled saying.
"Don't be, it's fine."
"Here." Claire said suddenly and he looked up only to find some dollar notes being thrust at him.
"What should I get you with these?" Jeremy asked thinking that she wanted to send him on on errand, Claire giggled and said to him.
"It's for you to get a seat, silly."
He looked at her again surprised and at the money before asking.
"Why are you giving me these money?"
"Ain't you hear to watch the match? I can't let you miss it, you will barely see anything or the players from here and trust me if the security guards sees you here, you will be disgraced and chased out." She replied explaining to him the repercussions.
"Thank you." He said smiling so much that it made him look so good, she smiled back and went away.
After the match was over, someone came and gave Jeremy a card with instructions to wait for a while even after everyone has gone home.
Hey! Claire greeted from behind and Jeremy waved back.
"You asked me to wait for you." He said but she said to him instead of responding.
"You didn't tell me your name."
"Jeremy, Jeremy Rodriguez." He responded quickly.
"Rodriguez? Sound like Mexican." Claire said and he corrected himself.
"My dad's Mexican and my mom is African American." Jeremy said and he heard her say.
"Oh, now I understand."
"You asked me to wait." Jeremy said again and she asked.
"Why are you so impatient?" Jeremy smiled and said.
"I am sorry, I am just not used to being alone with a lady."
"A lady as pretty as me?" Claire asked and he surprisingly blushed.
"I have never been alone with any lady, whether pretty or not." Claire smiled at what she heard.
Claire Smith, a beautiful lady from a shattered family where her parents are irresponsible and they are cheating on each other but are still not willing to get divorced.
She has four different step siblings which her parents had with their various extramarital affairs.
She didn't have a happy life and goes looking for a one time happiness, she refused to settle down with one man and therefore goes around having one night stands, smoking and going to clubs.
And here before her was another man she was attracted to and wanted to spend just one moment with him.
"Do you want to do something crazy?" She suddenly asked Jeremy when they were both seated by the rails.
"And what is that?" Jeremy asked, their face was close to each other. Jeremy was nervous because this was his first time but Claire wasn't, she is a pro at this.
Before he knew it, she was already on top of him and they were naked, she was moaning and so was him, that was how he had his first sex with a lady he barely knew.
They met each other months later at the club and realized that they had fallen in love after their one night stand. They went out several times and a few weeks later, they had a small wedding they didn't even invite their parents to attend and Claire moved in with her darling husband.
Diego came home late and met his family at the dinning table, he wanted to quietly go to his room but was stopped by Mr. Mateo's question.
"You haven't given me a proper answer. What have you decided?"
