"Is that understood!" A very sharp and loud voice could be heard across the whole office.
It was the voice of general director for the marketing department of Anné magazines, She was instructing the new employees who apparently hadn't gotten used to the strict rules and policies of the company.
"Yes ma'am!" They all replied nervously, Appearing intimidated by the lady who wore a very smart suit. The senior staffs who had been working in the company for quite a while before the new employees, Found the lady instructing them very scary.
Known for her no nonsense attitude towards the staffs, She was nicknamed second Jasmine because of her similarity to the boss.
The marketing director does everything possible in order to win the favor of the Jasmine Lawrence, The CEO of the clothing company.
She wants everything to be perfect, Every one was expected to work with orderliness and passion according to the company which means there should be no flaws in their respective duties else they would be fired.
The company was the best in the city when it comes to selling quality products, And Jasmine intended to keep it like that.
Despite her company being known for it's strictness, It was still the dream of many young fashion designers to work there. Jasmine has never had any competitors in the past five years as her company upgraded to the very top leaving others to compete amongst themselves.
Every one went back to their duties and focus on their jobs more than before. They were only given an hour break out of ten working hours. All the staffs are expected to resume by eight a.m and suspend all activities by six p.m.
"This is so frustrating," One of the employees in the office whispered to the Senior staff who was also allocated beside her desk. "You will get used to it if focus and avoid distractions." The lady told her impassively.
She didn't even bother to take a glance at the fuming lady, She was typing non-stop.
The staff rolled her eyes at her and yawned loudly. "It is so tiring working non stop here, Our CEO is a ruthless bitch." The newbie grumbled, The staff beside her cleared her throat in warning to the young lady.
"Have you gathered the documents I asked you to?" Jasmine's bold voice questioned her personal secretary in her luxurious SUV she was driving to her company.
"Yes ma'am, Should I send a message to Andres for the meeting?" Her secretary's tiny but smart voice spoke up immediately. Jasmine looked at her and smirked, Her perfectly shaped lips darkened with the burgundy colored lipstick shifted to the side. She wore a dark shade which is in contrast to her porcelain white skin.
"Yes please." She answered lazily, Clicking her dark shiny polished nails against the steering wheel as she drove. Jasmine hummed and nodded her head to the song playing from the stereo.
The paparazzi were already waiting with their cameras in front of her company, They do that everyday just to get a glimpse of her to get a news out of her style.
"These zombies are here again, Hungry for me," Jasmine commented when she saw them, "Should I alarm the securities ma'am?" Her secretary asked, Adjusting her glasses. She had obviously had enough of them.
"Let them be. I am obviously their source of income, They make their money from me honey," Jasmine proudly let out a deep chuckle. She was obviously enjoying the attention she was getting.
"Obviously," Her secretary commented with a smile. "Hell yeah," Jasmine threw a wink at her.
"Let's go feed them zombies," Jasmine said with a grunt as she and her secretary unbuckled their seatbelts and stepped out of the car.
She carried herself with her usual grace and ease, Approaching at a fast pace to get past the buzzing media.
Both the securities and paparazzi were ready to do their daily Jobs, The former guiding her from the frenzies of the latter.
"Jasmine!" "Look over here please!" "Jasmine ma'am!!" They all did everything in their power and strength to gain her attention and get a clear picture of her. Her secretary also joined the securities to prevent any reporter from touching her.
After waving a few times she made her way into the nearest elevator with some bodyguards and her secretary still behind her.
"I can't wait to read another bull crap they're are gonna write about me today," Jasmine said once they were in the elevator referring to the paparazzi.
"They all seemed to derive some kind of joy writing fake news about me, Jasmine slapped a staff, Jasmine disrespected an elderly woman, Jasmine in a private relationship, Jasmine this Jasmine that. Uff! It never ends." She ranted to her secretary.
It's like they are being paid to write different stuffs about her, Some reporters even do it out of spite. She had more haters than anybody else in the business.
Her father had always underestimated her since her birth just because she was a female even though she was the first child and only daughter of the family. He had always considered her stupid brothers more worthy of the title "Heir" than her.
Gone are the days when she spent most of her childhood and teenage years trying to prove her worth to her father, Now he's only going to watch how successful she had made herself to be and regret the years he spent looking down on her.
The elevator took them straight to her office which occupied the topmost floor of the building.
Her office was very large and highly sophisticated. She had a private bedroom where she stays whenever she doesn't feel like going home. The grandeur styled office has many segments for different purposes. Her secretary occupies the one closer to the entrance.
She has a Butler who attends to some of her needs. Her office wasn't too colourful, Mostly whites and shades of grey giving it a cold aura.
Behind her main desk one could view the whole City and that added to the minimalistic yet classy beauty of her office. it looks even more beautiful whenever it was sunset.
"Good morning ma'am!" Some of her staffs greeted her immediately she stepped out of the elevator and another greeted her as she stepped into her large office.
They always assemble at every entrance whenever she's about to arrive. She smiled at them but they didn't dropped the tension mode one degree. Even her smiles has a dark and sinister aura to it.
She placed her bag on the large transparent fancy glass desk where she attends to some visitors and took off her shades. It was just Eight a.m in the morning but she was already feeling tired and the day had began to seem boring to her.
"Good morning ma'am" Her Butler greeted her from behind, He was around his forties and is an Excellent cook. One of the finest in the city.
Jasmine is a perfectionist so she wants all her staffs to be too. "Good morning Stefan, How do you do?" She answered without looking away from the skyline view.
"Fine ma'am, What are your preferences this morning ma'am?" He asked in his usual professional manner, The way she liked it.
"Nothing much, Just brew me a cup of coffee," She answered him casually still staring at the towering buildings of the city through the five inches deep glass window in front of her.
"Just the way I like it Stefan." She told him and he nodded before he left.
"Just the way I like it...."
