"Thank you for the treat ma'am," Neha said when they both got back inside the car.
They were both filled up after the delicacy they just got fed with. "Don't mention love," Jasmine said and belched humorously.
Neha tried so hard to hold back her laugh but it didn't go unnoticed by Jasmine. "Don't make fun of me Neha." Jasmine said and ended up bursting into a fit of laughter with Neha joining her too.
She had been more close to Neha than any of her staffs, It had already been five years since Neha started working for her, Never for once had she given her any issues like others always do.
"Gosh I feel so bloated. Another tireless gym session tomorrow, I have to get back my lovely shape." Jasmine commented as she stared at her face at the mirror she took from her bag.
"What time did you shifted my spa appointment to?" Jasmine asked Neha. "By three p.m ma'am," She replied.
"That close?"
Thankfully they had spent almost an hour eating delicious seafood at the restaurant and the drive to the spa is not a long one.
"We'll be able to meet up," jasmine shrugged. "And even if I don't it won't Matter." She stated as a matter of fact.
She doesn't wait for the people, It is the people who waits for her.
After getting a satisfying body massage and some Facial treatments, Jasmine sat on one of the lush pink relaxation seats at the spa. She had a facial mask on accompanied by two sliced cucumber against her eyes.
She was humming to the song playing from the background, It was her favorite song. They really do know how to please their customers, That's why she loves their services.
Her hand reached for the cold cocktail beside her and took a sip. She was receiving a manicure treatment now. Her body was in high spirits now compared to the time she spent at her company.
They say "All work and no play makes Jim a dull girl" and the Jim in Jasmine is long gone.
Once upon a time she would overwork herself to the point of getting sick for a whole month. Most of the doctors advise her to take a break from work but she wouldn't listen.
She had to build her empire, Promote her company and her products. She had lost count of the many times she got rejected before later getting her breakthrough.
She was in love at the time. Young and naive, Stupidly in love she hadn't seen the wrong decisions she had made.
She had been through a lot, Working for her company at the same time working to keep her love.
But only the former paid off, The latter did not.
"What a waste of time and emotions," She thought.
"Jasmine!!!!" A shrill and annoying voice with the worst character still, Exclaimed while making her way towards her.
She didn't need to see who it was, She already knew who it was.
Jocelyn Joyce Jacobs.
She calls herself J.J.
Who on Jasmine side is considered to be a spoilt brat with no class no matter how much she tries to feign good and perfect in the public's eye.
Jocelyn came from a family of politics. Born from a politically arranged marriage between the Jacobs and the Harringtons for better alliances back then. She was the daughter of Jasmine's Dad arch rival in politics so she made it her life's mission to make Jasmine hers too.
Except that Jasmine never gave her the time and privilege to do that. She had more important things to focus on.
Jocelyn had contributed twenty percent to most issues she's having with the public currently. She paid some media companies to write all sort of bad things about her.
She even went as far as defaming her in an interview calling her a boyfriend snatcher. She told all sort of lies just to make sure Jasmine never got the spotlight anywhere she goes again.
But during all this Jasmine showed her level of maturity and calmly denied all the spiteful allegations thrown her way.
When Jocelyn realized her now outdated tactics to oust Jasmine were no longer working. She went on to open a fashion business just like Jasmine's but flopped terribly. All the styles from her company came out as wack.
She was never stable, Never planned anything with sense and the worst part was that she never worked for anything.
Every thing she ever did was a flop. From her modelling career to being an actress and now fashion designer. She never did anything with passion, It was always to oust Jasmine.
"Is stalking me now one of your lame tactics?" Jasmine commented as Jocelyn lied down on the sofa beside her.
"Of course not jaz, It's just a coincidence meeting you here. I just came to fix up my face nothing more." Jocelyn replied with the fake tiny and annoying voice she uses all the time.
"Hmm?" Jasmine exclaimed as she took another sip from her cocktail.
"Nice nails." She commented on Jasmine's beautifully manicured fingers. "Thanks you, Are you interested?" Jasmine replied back with a smirk.
"No am good." She chirped.
"Of course you are," Jasmine knew Jocelyn coming here couldn't possibly be coincidental, She obviously wants to achieve something. The lady had no shame, She is ready to stoop to the lowest to achieve her filthy aim.
"Doesn't your sister own a spa? Why don't you go there instead of coming here? Or has her business flopped like yours always did?" Jasmine casually said. She definitely knows how to push one's button.
Jocelyn felt provoked by her questions and thereby showed her true colors.
"You think you are better than everybody huh?" Jocelyn scoffed at her. Jasmine smiled at the retort and removed the sliced cucumbers from both of her eyes.
"Yes, I do think so. I am so very glad it's obvious. Isn't it the truth?" She replied back with twice the confidence. She was so ready for Jocelyn today.
"Well soon you wouldn't be able to say so because I am gonna take that spot from you." She replied blinking her lashes and gesturing with her left hand.
"The top spot was always meant for me regardless. You did all you could but you couldn't even get to match me in class. Now you resort petty threats uh?" Jocelyn looked very pissed at Jasmine's comments.
"Not when most of your staffs come running to my company from yours." Jocelyn retorted with a sly smile.
Jasmine raised her eyebrows in amusement.
"That's because I fired them J.J, I think you deserve them better. I can't wait to see your company flop harder than it already has." Jasmine winked at her and took another sip from her almost finished cocktail drink.
"I heard your new dress design isn't even ready yet two days prior," Jocelyn wasn't going to back down. Jasmine didn't even looked fazed by what J.J said.
There are so many spy staffs in her company but they do a really good job at keeping their identity.
Only the ones from earlier this morning were foolish enough to reveal themselves.
"Yeah so?" Jasmine demanded, "You think that's gonna make your company any better? You think it's gonna give your designers a more creative idea than those trashy ones before?"
Jocelyn chuckled nervously as every word that came out of Jasmine's mouth hits the spot and triggers her so much.
"Admit it Jasmine, Your company is going down the drain. It's future is at stake." J.J scornfully smiled thinking Jasmine would be triggered by her retort.
"I wouldn't be so confident saying that if I were you," Jasmine faced J.J full-on.
"And why wouldn't you be Jas," demanded in her fake chipmunk tone.
"Because of your secret relationship with Michelle Adams's husband." Jasmine faked a whisper. Jocelyn's eyes got bloodshot immediately.
She hadn't expect anyone to know about her relationship with the famous singer's husband. It would put her in trouble.
"H-how d-did you k-know?" Jocelyn stuttered in panic, She obviously wasn't expecting that from Jasmine.
Jasmine laughed hysterically, Obviously enjoying J.J's uneasiness.
"Tut Tut, I own a magazine company darling. Artists, Actresses and Actors, Politicians and models. Not only do I cover them, I know everything about them. All their little secrets and lies. You aren't an exception love." Jasmine replied sassily.
"You b**ch! You stalker!!" Jocelyn yelled in anger. "Oh no need to scream j.j, People might wanna know the reason for your screaming and I would be left no choice but to tell them." Jasmine said laughing.
"Did you think you are the only one who
got spies? Did you think you are the only one who can stalk? I told you I am the boss, The Queen! You couldn't even beat me in something as petty as that." Jasmine concluded and walked off with a smirk on her face leaving Jocelyn who was still on the sofa shaking like a leaf.
