Chapter 3 - Winter Party

Plumes of smoke rose to mix with the cold air on Gregory McCarthy's porch. Two guys are having an important discussion regarding the fate of Serena Wilson, a wild young adult. Ryan trampled the cigarette ashes everywhere. The foolish assistant who was following his men stood stiffly, absorbing the reprimand.

"I'm sorry, sir, I don't know," Moore expressed regret. "You're in a hurry to ask for girls to marry in three days, Mr. Andriano's daughter."

"Shut up!" yelled Ryan McCarthy, ruffling his waist. "What kind of girl was brought to me, still innocent but so wild?" It's surprising that I found something unique this morning.

Serena's behavior affects Mr. and Mrs. Gregory McCarthy's faith in the chosen girl who is ready to become his bride.

Moore cast a glance at David, who was in charge of administering anesthetics to keep Mr. Andriano's daughter calm during the journey. They were unaware of her actions and intended to injure Enzo, the driver of the car.

"Mrs. Angel only gave up Serena, not her other two daughters." He gave a report on a business meeting attended by Andriano's wife. "The girl had just returned from out of town, and the baggage hadn't been opened yet when I arrived to collect the company's debt payment."

Ryan's lips curled into a sardonic smile. The black bag slipped from Serena's grasp and slid quickly onto his head. They parted ways at the airport without saying goodbye. Ryan McCarthy still needs to see his old pal. Unpleasant surprises resurfaced at the dinner table the next morning.

"Did Mrs. Angel appear sad when you took away Serena?" Ryan was curious. Moore abruptly shook his head. "Serena Wilson is not Mrs. Angel's biological daughter, who gave to pay off her husband's debt and promptly shut the door as we were dragged to the car."

The family banishes the wild girl. Ryan McCarthy's instruction must be carried out, which involves a wedding in the near future. There was no other option except to kidnap Serene Wilson from her house overnight. Moore has an unusual job; instead of delivering brides to his boss, he typically kills clients due to the business.

"Moore!" Ryan snapped the assistant out of his reverie. "Keep an eye on Serena in case she flees. "My parents must not be aware of her past, or I would have killed you, remember?" The fate of the girl with him was not another man's because they knew ahead of time who would accompany Ryan McCarthy to the altar.

Mrs. Bellezza covertly watched her future sister-in-law's weary appearance. She fell asleep without breakfast and without a piece of cloth under the big cover on his beloved son's bed. The young girl who had been crying loudly in the dining room soon slipped into a limp silence, dreaming of a dark future.

Serena, who precisely are you? Her inner awe

Ryan took a large risk at the insistence of both parents, regardless of the prospective wife's history. The room's door was silently shut. She didn't want to disturb Serena's sleep just for a late lunch; the wedding dress would be delivered by Maria.

Serena began to open her eyes half an hour later. Even though the room was heated, she felt chilled to the bone. The entire body had been squashed into a state of queasiness. On the second day they met, Ryan committed an immoral act.

The visage of a dissatisfied bride-to-be was seen. Dry tears for hours, yet the ache remains untreated. Serena's life expectancy was cut short by her father's debt, which she will repay one day.

Ryan McCarthy, a harsh man, has never been a nice spouse, let alone a parent, for the sake of children produced from Mr. Andriano's daughter's womb. You'll feel the pain later! Serena's resentment grew. The tap on the door abruptly brought the daydream to an end.

Gregory McCarthy's servant arrived to serve the honored guest. Serena hurriedly put the quilt back, saying, "What time is it now?"

"Four o'clock, Miss." Maria grinned as she carried the food tray. Then followed another maid, who set down the bride's white gown and the fiery red gown. "Mrs. Bellezza requested that you dress in order to attend the party later tonight; we will assist Miss after washing and eating."

Serena gave the three maids a commanding stare. "Just tell her I'm not coming. This afternoon, I'll return to New York because I have a lot of work!" She asserted vehemently that getting rid of strangers had profoundly altered her life.

"Sorry, Miss, we're just running errands; you should just obey Madam's orders." Mary gently bent her head while indicating an extremely important message in her statements. Years of working in a house have concealed a lot of creepy things from the outside world.

Serena reluctantly agreed; it was wrong for her to criticize the waiter. A few moments to process the truth of why he was in Texas rather than Oklahoma.

Her father was a businessman, as was Ryan McCarthy's family. Andriano's daughter was kidnapped as a result of a significant loan he made.

Serena's limping out of bed and into the warm shower relieved the strain of two days of agony. Throughout the lengthy journey together, black luggage lay in the corner of the room, with nothing precious except the last portrait of the father and daughter. Beautiful memories, but not quite as lovely as Serena's new life.

A festive winter gathering.

Mr. Gregory McCarthy's colleagues arrived as a group. Mrs. Bellezza joined her husband to greet visitors. The wives of prominent business people arrived with their daughters, flashing charming grins, hugs, and kisses.

In between busying herself with organizing the party, she caught a glimpse of the attractive son standing away, seeming dissatisfied with the event. "Gregory!" she called out to her husband. "What's wrong with Ryan? His attitude is becoming increasingly strange, making me wonder if that girl is really his choice."

Mr. Gregory shifted his gaze. "Just a little nervous, I guess," he admitted casually. "We used to be like that when we wanted to get married; Ryan was afraid of making mistakes when it was obvious that the girl was suitable and good for him. "Calm down, sweetie; everything went smoothly; otherwise, he wouldn't benefit from my company afterwards."

Mrs. Bellezza McCarthy agreed, turning to grin at everyone in the room. The guests have removed their warm coats and are enjoying the food and chatting with one another. Nothing could disrupt the plan for an only son to marry right away, even if it was with a girl he didn't like from the start.

The mystery surrounding Serena Wilson remains unsolved. The hostess explained that the future daughter-in-law hailed from a good family and had the same standard of living. Ryan McCarthy simply requires an attentive female and has conquered the bed as they eat breakfast.
