Chapter 5 - The Thief of Hearts

Midnight silence. The music had stopped, leaving Serena transfixed on the balcony. The owner of the room has not returned since the party ended. I hope the horrible man never meets her again to ruin her life. Enough of the devastating news regarding Mr. Andriano's legacy, which caused the death of his own daughter.

Remembering occurrences from a few years ago. My dear father brought her to supper at a beautiful restaurant. Business trips across the United States and Europe consume time that could be spent nurturing

Boarding school abroad was the only way Mr. Andriano could provide the greatest education for his daughter while also relieving his sadness after Mrs. Belladonna died and left Serena as a child.

Oh! Her mind snapped. Dear Father insisted on signing a crucial agreement that Serena did not understand at the time. All of her difficulties began there, and now she's twenty...

At the party, her future husband opened Pandora's box, revealing that control of Mr. Andriano's family inheritance was now in her hands.

Serena Wilson's body chills were ignored once more. Her disappointment and rage collided. Ryan McCarthy is interested in the power that lies beneath the rationale for marriage.

The company's receivables payable are not her concern, yet she must suffer the lengthy load. Ryan, screw you! She cursed angrily.

"What are you doing out here, Serena?" Ryan broke the trance. Touching her icy shoulder, he rubbed her arm repeatedly in an attempt to hug the heat. "Let's go in; you might get sick without a warm coat later."

"Please don't touch me! I don't want to marry you, and I'll pay off my father's money as long as you want to cancel our agreement." Serena declined to be hugged by a horrible man for the umpteenth time. If she insisted on taking over the lead corporation instead of Mr. Andriano, their tale would be over soon.

Scornful laughter rang out across the Texas sky. The harsh cold defies the wild girl from Oklahoma. "It's too late, baby," he mocked Serena. "Our contract cannot be canceled. Moore is prepared to take over all of your assets that have been turned over to me. The following agreement is signed to transfer ownership of your family's oil refinery, agricultural land, and natural gas:

No way! Serena roared angrily. She fired a torrent of fists at the driver, Enzo, who had kidnapped her from her residence. "You thief!" She cursed as the snowfall fell. "I'm not going to let you take everything my parents own, Ryan!"

Gregory McCarthy's son convinced Serena to quit hurting herself. Her punches were not as powerful as Andriano's daughter's hatred-filled feelings. "I just want to ease your steps, honey," he replied, avoiding paralyzing Serena's emotions. "By being my wife, your property is going nowhere."

Impossible! Serena's wild screams pierced the pitch-black sky. It snowed on them. The chill is searing to the bone. It is preferable to die of cold than marry a dishonest foreigner. Her dream was realized instantaneously, and she stiffened as her thoughts faded. Ryan's expression was shattered, and he vanished into the darkness.

"Serena?!" Ryan dashed into the room as quickly as lightning. The consciousness of Andriano's daughter has fallen. The red dress was forcefully opened.

There was no other way to warm up the chilled body than with his tight embrace. Everything attached was quickly removed, including the black tuxedo and white shirt.

Serena's lips twitched, impatiently waiting for Ryan to act. The dense quilt engulfed them in an instant. He embraced her frail body and rose to drain the heat. Huh! He snorted gently at the possibility of being late and finding Andriano's daughter stiff outside the room.

Celine was waiting downstairs, expecting an explanation. Their romance falls apart halfway through when Ryan marries another girl. Her jealousy does not accept him since he is now owned by Serena.

The lengthy argument ignored Gregory McCarthy's son in order to focus on the primary purpose. Commitment is a difficult issue for both. Alessandro had discovered his date first.

No surprise; they appear familiar at the party and then penetrate the back. making out without Ryan knowing if Moore hadn't reported in the parking area, where there were still automobiles left. Celine and Alessandro spend time together until the party is over.

"Uhmm... " Serena muttered gently as she felt the man's arm rub against her skin. "Please stop hurting. I am not guilty!" Fearful screaming phrases buzzed again and again. Ryan rubbed her silky-smooth back. "Shhh. Don't worry, I'm here for you."

The night is getting late, and lying in an embrace is something Ryan has never done before. The celebration should have ended peacefully rather than with a conflict between them.

Serena's trembling body eventually relaxed. The sticky heat overwhelmed me. Ryan was no longer able to withstand the pain in his soul. Serena's long hair was pulled back behind her ears. Fingers brushed against the long neck. This girl isn't as bad as he thought.

Serena's chattering mouth became a sigh. Among the subconscious, silently appreciating Ryan's warmth, they have betrayed themselves. Their second night was marred by the illumination of the fireplace. "Serena..." He sighed, knowing he couldn't afford to delude himself.

The burning fireplace adds to the romantic ambience created by two people who previously despised each other but now need each other. Destiny brings them together, from inevitability to reality.

Serena had gone from cold to a raging fire. "Ryan..." She mumbled names, shortly to be the husband in their agreement. Lulled by the never-ending cradle of romance She was completely immersed in something she had never felt before.

A love. She arrived unexpectedly, and the present broke her heart. Ryan McCarthy is no longer the ruthless but sweet man he was tonight. Even though they were battling without peace the day before, their hearts were racing as if they were chasing the pinnacle of satisfaction.

Forget about Mrs. Angel, Sarah, and Marcella! Serena's thoughts defeated her foe. If she had a protector when her father died, they would no longer harass her. Then she should start her own family, regardless of who tries to take advantage of her anymore.
