Chapter 7 - Power of Combination

Leonard, shirtless, easily unsheathed the rusty two-handed sword. There was a large round stone nearby. Remembering Laru's advice, Leonard employed the Ultimate Hand - Residual Construction, to fit the large stone onto the firm tip of the two-handed sword. He tried to swing it, only to find that the sword didn't feel much heavier. With his small arms, Link could still swing it easily, and it didn't feel too heavy to carry around. Leonard thought, this is the amazing part of the Ultimate Hand - increasing the power without adding weight.

A huge stone blocked the way. Without saying a word, Leonard raised the stone sword and spun around, crushing the massive rock that was as large as nine Links.

After crossing the rubble, he came to a fork in the road. Intuition told Leonard to turn right. He came to three saplings, each bearing red fruit. Whether his brain was acting up, or he found the red color irritating, Leonard didn't hesitate to raise his sword to chop. The next second, he was on fire - burned to death.

Leonard had forgotten something important: he only had one heart of strength left when he entered the temple. His entire body was still glowing red. Unfortunately, this red light wasn't a healthy glow, but a warning signal. His vision went black, and when he opened his eyes again, he was back at the entrance to the temple.

"Damn! Even chopping fruit can kill you? That's too much!" He calculated silently, he had died three times already. The cause of death: his brain acting up!

So the diligent Leonard repeated the process until he reached the row of saplings. This time, though he regained three hearts of strength, he didn't dare to take it lightly, and quietly picked the red fruit to keep. The fruit was called "Flame Fruit". Leonard had already tasted its power. He collected 13 flame fruits and stored them for future use.

After a few steps, a tall wall stood at the end of the path. Vines entwined around a chest high up on the wall... Leonard wondered, what is this? The vines only grow on the top, not the bottom, how do I climb up to open the chest? Or maybe, there's no need to climb. Leonard had a flash of inspiration, took out his bow and arrow, attached a flame fruit to the arrowhead, and turned it into a fire arrow. With a 'whoosh', the vine was burning. After the fire, the stone chest fell to the ground. Leonard took a small key from it.

This key obviously opened the door on the other side of the fork. Leonard opened the door, and the green light at the end of the temple was already in sight. Without any suspicion, Leonard walked towards it quickly. Suddenly, a sharp figure of a captain's golem appeared on the ground. It had long arms, and three red circles on its head, it seemed hard to deal with. Leonard quickly climbed onto the platform on the left, but the persistent golem followed him up. What's more, it used the Ultimate Hand's Residual Construction to combine a head-sized stone and a small sword, which was not to be underestimated. Leonard took a hit and was warned with a red light all over his body. Leonard decided to distance himself, but the captain's golem was very fast, quickly catching up and slashing him down with one sword. Leonard perished like this, and his vision blacked out for the fourth time.

When he opened his eyes, Leonard was still at the entrance to the temple. If he wore glasses, they would surely be shattered on the ground now. Ah! Do I have to start over again? Am I so bad? I couldn't even beat that golem one on one, how am I going to survive in Hyrule? How am I going to save Princess Zelda, how am I going to build a Gundam? Leonard fell into deep self-doubt. He held the stone sword in both hands, banging it here and there, venting his inner frustration.

Things in the world are generally like this, lofty ambitions with inadequate talent can make one extremely frustrated. However, Leonard, he had one advantage, which is a quick adjustment. After the 'raft-making crisis,' he had become much steadier. So, he made rapid progress, and in no time, he was once again in front of the captain golem.

This time, Leonard had learned his lesson. While the captain golem was combining the rocks, he took out his bow and arrow and gifted it a rocket. The rocket ignited the dry leaves on the ground instantly, causing the captain to jump around as if he was on fire. After the flame extinguished, Leonard raised his double-handed round stone sword, sprinted over, leaped, and slammed. The captain couldn't withstand it and died. After a cloud of smoke, a horn of the captain golem emerged. It was quite formidable when it combined its attack power.

Leonard climbed onto a small platform on the left side and found a long rod on top. He suddenly remembered another way to deal with the captain golem, slapped his thigh, and thought, "If I knew this thing existed, I wouldn't have died!"

In the end, Leonard touched the green ring. Two deities spoke, "You've made it this far, you've done well... The light that dispels evil is stored here, now it will shine upon you." Leonard gained another blessing of light in a yellowish-white color, but he still didn't know its purpose.

At the entrance to the temple, on the blue magic circle, a steward golem called out to Leonard who had just completed the second temple challenge. "Mr. Link! I have an item that I wasn't able to give to you before. I've brought it here now, please accept it." Leonard pondered. This golem was too polite, what good thing could it be? Can it be eaten? Could it be the reward for successfully challenging the second temple?

"The item given to you is a battery. When using the commonly used tool in this place, the Left Nau device, the battery is an indispensable item. However, there is no Left Nau device here..." "Please go through the cave in front and find the golem there." The steward golem finally said.

Leonard thought, I thought it would be something good, but it turned out to be an ordinary battery! What a waste of expression. Go go go, where to go? It's dusk already, and I'm tired...

Leonard unceremoniously fell asleep behind the Yeneasa temple.

The next morning, Leonard, well-rested and well-fed, finished his morning exercises and set off again. He decided to go to the cave that the steward golem recommended yesterday. Maybe there were important items inside.

While walking and thinking, Leonard noticed two goblin creatures and two soldier golems confronting each other up ahead, it seemed like a battle could break out any second. Would they start fighting? Or were they only targeting Leonard, the 'despicable foreigner'?

Of course, the answer was affirmative, the two sides fought quite fiercely. Leonard observed for a while, and when both sides were critically injured, he went over to finish them off. As expected, he didn't have to put in much effort, didn't have to shed any blood, and he harvested several goblin jellies and a golem sword.

There were still many golem soldiers on guard along the way. Kind-hearted Leonard, unwilling to kill unnecessarily, used his stealth to sneak into the cave by the pond. Wow, it's so dark inside, are there any torches?
