Chapter 9 - The Preamble Battle in the Snowy Mountain

Leonard built the remaining parts of the fan engine onto his rusted shield, which blew wind when used for defense. However, this made the dragon head piece redundant. On the fourth morning, after completing his morning exercises, Leonard discarded the dragon head and headed straight for the third temple. He arrived at a floating island, which was connected to another floating island by a railway, only half of which remained intact.

Leonard went below the broken railway to see if he could find any fragments and attach them back together using his Ultimate Hand. Unfortunately, he found nothing. He thought maybe he was wrong, so he went around in a circle and returned to his original location. There was a stone hook, a few mine carts, and fan engines lying haphazardly on the ground. What could they be used for?

Leonard looked at the railway that only had one side left and wondered if his idea could work: to hang the mine cart below the rail and drive it with a fan engine. No sooner said than done, his Ultimate Hand quickly made a prototype. Now Leonard was much more skilled at building vehicles and no longer struggled like he used to.

"Ding!" The mining hanging cart slowly left the platform and headed for the next floating island. At this moment, Leonard was very happy, his heart felt sweeter than eating honey. He loved his own creation no matter how he looked at it!

The hanging cart slowly climbed onto the floating island. Leonard happily turned on the fan engine and jumped off the cart. Before he had a chance to admire his work, the 'mining hanging cart' slowly slid down. Leonard could only watch his proud creation leave and thought to himself, I'm still too weak. Whether it's protecting the princess or the mine cart, I fail. It's better to strengthen myself and hurry up.

After he climbed onto the floating island, the third temple was already in sight. For now, Leonard first entered the cave of the steadfast to prepare for climbing the snowy mountain.

Just as he entered, he saw a hunter golem making a fire and cooking.

"Sir, please wait a moment. The snow mountain ahead is extremely cold. If you are not adequately prepared, you will gradually lose strength. This matter is a matter of life or death... Are you prepared for the cold?" the hunter golem kindly asked.

"Cold protection?" Leonard obviously hadn't considered this aspect.

"Without sufficient preparation, harsh environments can be deadly. Please listen carefully to what I will say next. Our master's main method of staying warm is to eat food that warms the body. It seems that any dish made with ingredients that have 'warm' in their name can make one feel warm from the inside out. You can also wear thick clothes or warm up by a fire, but it seems that eating is the most convenient way to stay warm. By the way, you can only benefit from one dish at a time. Please be careful not to accidentally let your body get cold."

Leonard understood what the hunter golem said and immediately took out 3 Warm Grass Fruits that he had just picked and put them all into the pot. After a while, they automatically turned into Spicy Stir-fried Warm Grass Fruits, providing 7.5 minutes of cold protection. After several experiments, Leonard found that if he put in one Warm Grass Fruit, the finished dish provided 2.5 minutes of protection, two provided 5 minutes, and so on.

There was more to this cave than meets the eye. After breaking the large stone blocking the rear cave with a circular stone sword, he found many glowing flower seeds and one giant glowing flower seed inside. Just as Leonard was about to leave after gathering everything, a strange sound from a Maoyouyi above attracted his attention. Leonard thought, if you choose a hard way over an easy one, you deserve to pay the price. After shooting it twice with arrows, it fell down and died. The moment its body disappeared, a rabbit-like creature ran out and disappeared into the wall... This is really strange. Apart from spewing bubbles, this creature seems to do nothing. Could it be another animal in disguise?

Pushing aside his doubts and hitting the road, he passed through the formal entrance of the snowy mountain, and after a few steps, he was surrounded by cliffs on all sides. Would climbing upward work? Obviously not, after climbing twice, he found no place to hold onto and slid back down. After Leonard passed the gate, he was so cold that he shivered. He found that if he was exposed in the snowy mountain for more than 10 seconds, he would lose half a heart's worth of blood. With no other choice, Leonard ate a portion of Spicy Stir-fried Warm Grass Fruits and immediately felt warmth throughout his body, even his breath was less cold.

After wandering outside the stone gate for a while, Leonard noticed that it seemed possible to climb on the left side of the entrance inside. He took a break mid-air and, with great effort, managed to climb to the top. He took a few deep breaths, and saw a cuboidal stone beside him that seemed to be missing a corner. Conveniently, there was a "convex" shaped component next to it. Using his ultimate hand, Leonard turned it over and inserted it into the cube.

With a "ding" sound, Kolog appeared, with a purple leaf on his face, which made him look utterly hideous.

"Yahaha! You found me! Huh? I thought it was a Bokoblin, you scared me. You, can you see me? My name is Kolog, I'm a forest fairy! Oh, yes, if you see a Bokoblin, please give this back to him."

Leonard received a golden piece of "Kolog's fruit" and searched his mind for a while, but he didn't remember the character Bokoblin. Is it that one? Nevermind, I'll see him when fate brings us together.

After a few steps, he saw Raru waiting for him on the side of the road: "You have to be extra careful of those soldier statues and the captain statues. The loyalty they offer to guard this place is a real threat to you now."

Indeed, something happened on the left side of the entrance to the eternal cave, which almost became Leonard's nightmare. He didn't want to deal with these monsters at first, but he was greedy. Seeing the Ice Snow beauty freezing the captain statue, he wanted to go over and collect the bodies. Unfortunately, after the statue recovered, it picked up the dragon head and started grilling in a fan shape. Leonard was immediately burnt to a crisp.

After reviving at the cave entrance, Leonard was stubborn and continued to be reckless. He was grilled from a distance. The third time, the captain statue was in full force, not frozen, but killed the Ice Snow beauty instead. Even the white Qiuqiu gum that was formed after death was not spared and was directly roasted into yellow Qiuqiu gum. Leonard found it new, exciting, and fun, went over to pick it up, and got grilled again.

After dying three times in a row, Leonard still had wild ambitions. He believed that it was just bad luck and that he still had strength. He did not recognize his shortcomings in battle - he did not know how to defend, nor how to throw weapons. In other words, he was one-track minded, and his combat methods were singular.

After being killed by the fire-breathing monster four times in a row, Leonard finally gave up and ignored it, turning right into the eternal cave. Inside were convoluted passages, many tree roots, and a gradual upward slope. Along the way, there was a funny creature called Leikleik. It was a huge creature like a caterpillar, with deep teeth in its mouth, which was extremely scary at first sight. Leonard shot it with a rocket, and as soon as it caught fire, it would automatically protrude its red bag weak point. Attacking this spot was the only effective way to subdue it. After killing it, it would produce a Leikleik's stomach stone and a treasure chest.

The third temple was now in sight, but unfortunately, Leonard circled around and couldn't get up. What should he do? There's no reason to give up now!
