At Samar Corporation, Kojo
The building was in danger and pure chaos, as everyone tried to evacuate at the same time, hastily, in complete disarray while the alarm started to go off around the building and a voice went on and said
"Everyone should evacuate to the muster point! Evacuate in an organized manner!"
"What the hell is going on?" A man asked while running.
"Some group of intruders have gain access on the second floor. They must be terrorist." The other answered.
"So you are saying..." The man stopped talking as he looked out the window and was shocked.
"What's it?" The other one answered as he saw the way he made his face and also looked outside window surprised. He sees strange creatures in large number walking slowly like zombies. "Wh-What are they?" He said.
"No idea but these are not terrorists. Come let's get out of here." The other one said. Suddenly, they heard people screaming from downstairs and blood splashing as they were eating them.
"Shit! They are here." The man said.
They both heard a loud Roar from downstairs. They were filled with fear as they could see their shadows. They saw the creatures staring at them angrily. One stretched out its foot and then it opened its mouth. Their tongues were out as they were dripping out saliva.
"RUN!" The man screamed in fear.
They both sprinted full speed with the monster chasing after them. They lunged to them in full speed while the man turned back with shocked.
"Woah, they are fast!" He said.
And then the alien grabbed one of the men and started to eat him, taking off his arm, the man screamed helplessly. The other one was afraid as soon as he turns back to continue to run, the alien looked at him angrily and he was afraid as he landed on the floor and said, "Please please don't kill me." The creature didn't listen and chop off its head, the rest of the body fell on the ground as the creatures approach to eat up the body. The monster who eats up the head swallowed it with its mouth stained with blood, let out a booming roar. RAAAAAAAWWRR!
The Professional Defence squad (PDS) who were group of soldiers came with their guns pointed at them.
"FIRE!" a soldier whose name is Osanu yelled, enraged. All of the sudden they started shooting out red glowing lasers at the beasts. One of the beasts dodged and went straight forward to them for an attack.
"Shit! Quick it's coming towards us!" The general, Nishikawa said. They all duck as the creature picked up one of the soldier and bite off his head and chews it, it does the same one at a time while Osanu and General Nishikawa were shocked. Osanu quickly brought out his gun to fire but the alien took up and the general was surprised and called his name, "OSANU!" And it ate him up.
Nishikawa was filled with shocked and saw his men already dead on the floor. The creature who only ate Osanu's head and drops the body on the floor, looked at him with its large mouth open, as soon as he was about to run away, the monster hit him and was slammed on the wall. He touches his stomach and saw his hand stained with blood. The monster jumped to attack and he quickly shot his head and it died. He pants quickly and picks up his walkie-talkie, "This is general speaking. Send your report, over. The voice speak up, "Squad three and four are down, squad five and six are okay."
"We are retreating. I need you to evacuate the rest of the squads, same with the civilians, over."
"Copy that." The voice ended as the general heard a loud roar coming from the other side of the route. He quickly got up and makes his move, while walking slowly touching his injured stomach.
Two days later in Marionville
Yuki lives in a small town called Marionville altogether with his mother and his brother, Alan. Although, they were farmers. The place was not as big as the city, and they were living in poor state. Regularly, they face different crisis. It happened so often that to everyone there it was normal.
He thinks of his friends as looks up to the sky, "I remember when I used to go up into the hills with Tyler and Dawn. Life was indeed good, and now I was told that it wasn't again. Now I know… now I have seen how life is" Yuki thought. He was seen seated at the stairs of his neighbor's house outside, and by his side was his cat named Miao. "By the time I wasn't born, my father died and no cause was review, things really got so bad that the population in this town begin to reduce as death took them. I think of myself being rich having a lots of clothes and showing no mercy to those rich bastards who think they can have our lands and owners wouldn't care since it's the money they are after…" he added as he was interrupted
"Hey Yuki, can you grab me that hoe over there" Thomas said as he pointed it
"Sure thing Mr. Thomas." he said as he got up from his sitting position. "Let's go Miao" he added, Miao is the name of his cat. He goes and took the hoe, and sees that it was blunt, and started to sharpen it.
Yuki gave him the hoe and Thomas started to dig up the ground and said, "Things are getting worse that land had become infertile, no wonder farmers in Marionville are scarce"
"Even to find animals for food goes the same thing" Yuki added, "I can't say if this town is cursed or something but--"
Yuki was interrupted as he suddenly heard a sound of a moving vehicle and it was a car approaching to them, there were two in number. So the cars stopped as the driver came out to open the door for someone, it was a rich man who wears a cloth like a king.
"Wow it's that a rich man?" Yuki thought as he was astonished
"Thomas" the rich man said.
Thomas looks at him as he didn't answered
"Remember, you haven't pay my remaining balance since last month…no two months" said the rich man
"I don't have it now. Just give me some time…" said Thomas as he was interrupted
"I have given you enough. I gave you three chances and all you can say is "give me some time"." said the rich man
"I know let me give you the one I have now" said as Thomas go fetch his coins that was saved in a box and brings out the box, "This is all that I have" he gives him the box.
The rich man opened the box and picks up a coin inside, he looks at it and throws the box to his direction and said, "old and dirty just the way you are." Thomas was shocked while Yuki was angry as he clenches his fist. "I wonder how do people actually survived in this place. Well anyway, I'm going to give you another chance on one condition."
"And what will that be?" said Thomas
"If you don't pay me a clean coin for one week, I'll burn down your house and your entire farm." the rich man said and Thomas was shocked same with Yuki. "And I'm dead serious" he entered back his car as the driver shut it. And the two cars zoom off. Thomas was angry as he clenches his fist, "Damn it!"
At Mr. Thomas's house, he gives Yuki food to eat while Thomas sit as he was looking worried. Yuki looks at him and surprised, "You must be scared, Mr. Thomas?"
He sighed his frustration and said, "So why would I not be scared…and angry!" as he hits the table with his fist and the table crack as Yuki was shocked. "That bastard should mind his business and should stop taking that shit as a plan" He added
"How does he know you?" said Yuki
"Well his brother and I were friends. His name was Elmer Dermot. He was the nicest person that all the people in Marionville respect him. He was the founder of Marionville and he does everything to make the town safe and sound, like road constructions, building of hospitals and schools, all those good effort he does to make us live in satisfaction. Until few months, later he died of a strange illness and suddenly everything changed when his brother arose, his name is Roy Dermot."
"You mean the rich man we saw" said Yuki
"Rich man... that bastard. And because of that those who were richer left and joined him leaving us the poor ones behind" said Mr. Thomas. "I wish his brother was alive more plans he will think of would have happened, that was our hope for the future" he added.
Later, Yuki was on his way home, he sees the sky turning black thinking the rain will fall and suddenly a light shine up in the sky from a distance far from Marionville. He was shocked as he didn't know what that light was and all of a sudden the sky turned back to normal. He looked up to the sky with shocked and said, "What just happened?"
Some minutes later, he came back home. "Hey. I'm home" Yuki said as he shut the door.
"Yuki is that you?" His mum came out of the kitchen. Her mum was Sara Masaaki "How was work today?"
"Yeah work was fine today. Where's big brother?" Yuki said
"He left the house about four hours ago and he's still not yet back" Sara said
"Maybe work. You know Alan is always buzzing around leaving the house" as he took an apple and ate it.
"You don't care about your brother. And besides Alan never told us the work he's into" said Sara
"He's a big guy now. My older brother always doing everything for the family" said Yuki.
"Well since you are back, the TV is not working why don't you check it out while I prepare your dinner" Sara said as she heads to the kitchen. And Yuki checks it and tries fixing the problem. He on it and it still shows the same
"It must be the antenna" as he thought. He was seem outside checking it as he moves the antenna in different directions
Alan came back from work and saw Yuki, "What are you doing?"
Yuki was surprised. "Alan you are back. I'm just checking the antenna to see if the television will work.
"Okay. It's mum in?" Alan said
"Yeah" Yuki said
Alan went inside. "Oh welcome Alan" was the response Sara said when she saw Alan
Yuki saw the television still not working "That's odd" as he came down from the ladder he climbed before, "maybe later". He started to think as he was suspecting something. Yuki ran inside and Alan and his mother were surprised, "Yuki, what's wrong?" said Sara
Yuki changed the channel. All the other channels were the same too. He ran to his mother's car and turned on the radio. Static came over it. He pulled out his phone. No service. Shrugging, he walked back into the house.
"Mum, Alan, something is wrong" Yuki said
"Yuki, what's it?" Alan said
"All phones, radios and televisions are not working" Yuki said
Alan and his mum were surprised, "don't be ridiculous. There's no way it..." said Alan as he was interrupted
Suddenly, there was a heavy knock at the door as they were surprised. Yuki and his mum looked at Alan and Alan was surprised, "You want me to open it" Mum and Yuki nodded their head. "Fine then". Alan walks slowly as the knock was getting louder. So he opened it finally surprisedly it was Mr. Thomas.
He stood there with an ammo belt across his chest, a pistol strapped to his side, and a semi-automatic rifle in his hands.
"Mr. Thomas what's all this?" Sara said surprisedly.
"Sorry madam. But there's trouble for my liking, I don't know if you heard the news, but they are invading" said Thomas
"Who. But is it not the trouble we always faced?" mum said as she begins to wonder.
"No. This one is different" said Thomas.
Yuki was shocked and remember the bright line he saw some hours ago. And then suddenly, the television began to pick up a little,"This is a special report," the anchor came on. "We have just heard…" The television buzzed with static. "Spaceships reported…" Buzzing. "Invading…" The television off
Alan was surprised as he checks the problem,"Come on pick up what spaceship? Who's invading"
"Forget Alan, the television is dead" Yuki said
"I'm gonna need men to block the main gate until it's over. No alien is to step foot in my town." Thomas said as he was ready with his gun
"Wait...did I just heard you say alien" Yuki was astonished.
"Strange things are happening. And we don't know what and who they are, so I refer to them as aliens. We got to go now" Thomas said
"Aren't you overreacting. It was a garbled news" said Sara
"Then why are all the phones, radios, and television broadcasts being jammed? Even my brand new radio isn't working. They don't want us to know they're invading. But we've got one step up on them. Get your gun and follow me"
Surprisedly, there were strange creatures that looks like aliens roaming round the street while they were surprised. The creatures were seven feet tall, had grey body and black big eyes, long claws on their fingers and long sharp teeth. Yuki believes they were aliens since they came from that bright light on the sky he saw thinking that was an unidentified flying object (UFO).
"Oh my God, What are they?" Sara said while she was afraid
"Shit" Said Thomas as he reloads his gun,"Strange things are really happening"
"Mr. Thomas can I have one of your guns" Alan said
"Sure boy. If you know how to fight" Thomas said as he threw one of his gun to him and he caught it.
"No way. My son cannot use a gun" said mum
"You son is a big and strong man. So I suggest that he can" said Mr. Thomas
Yuki was surprised, "Alan" said in a low voice. Alan begins to reload it and Yuki talks in his mind," He sure knows how to use a gun"
Yuki packed his things and puts them in his bag. He saw Miao and said, "Looks like you have to follow us" Miao was surprised as she meow
The alien broke down their door and Thomas shot the alien. So they make their move and Mr. Thomas and Alan go on shooting their guns while Yuki and his mother were running behind the two of them
"Tell me… Tell me if this is a dream" Yuki thought.
Alan calls him, "Yuki" he answers and looks at him. "I got Your back, remember" said Alan as he smiles
Yuki was surprised as he smiles, "Okay"
So Alan and Thomas continue to shoot aliens and turns to different lane and they saw a boy with a gun.
Thomas was surprised, "Joey" he said
"Mr. Thomas" Joey said
"I can see you are prepared" Thomas said as he was amazed
"Man, I dun give a damn shit who these creatures are and where they came from" said Joey as he was angry.
"You are in the spirit, boy" said Thomas as he touch his right shoulder. Thomas faces Alan, Yuki and their mother. "This is Joey, He's my nephew" said Mr. Thomas
"Hey guys" Joey said as he waved his hand.
So They we're all seem walking. "What did they say on the news" said Joel
"They said they were reporting about spaceships...invading… something like that I saw on the news and when I got to my neighbor's house. The repetition till goes on" said Thomas
"I see" said Joey
"What about you, you didn't see the news?" said Thomas
"Other people said aliens were invading. I decided to go check it out and then I saw them coming out from main gate..." said Joey as he was interrupted.
"Wait, They are all coming in from main gate?" said Yuki as he was in great fear
"Yeah. That's why we are going there to block those freaks" said Thomas
Yuki was afraid and started to stammering, "W... we… we… are…go… go… going?"
"No. I, Alan and Joey" said Thomas
"We got everything under control" said Joey
Joey turns to Thomas,"Mr. Thomas, I haven't seen aunty and Jason for a very long time now"
"That's because they travelled. But good thing they went out of the country" said Thomas
"Yeah. It's a good thing" said Joey
"But only God knows if they are everywhere" Alan said as his face was unhappy
"You seem unhappy" Joey said
"Why wouldn't I. When evil creatures from outer no way started invading our town. I don't want any one here to die especially my family. So we must do this to survive." Alan said. "Please let all these be a dream" he thought
"Whether unhappy or not. We must still smile hoping everything will come to an end" Joey said with his mouth full of control
"Stop saying that!" Alan Shouted. "Right now this is not the time. We can smile even though someone close to us die" he said
"That's not what I mean..." Joey said as he was interrupted by Alan
"I don't care of what you mean. We just need to act seriously. Whatever we do, we take them for granted…" Alan said as he was interrupted by Joey
"I lost my parents during this attack!" Joey said as he shouted and the rest of them were surprised.
"What, Joey" Mr. Thomas surprisedly said
"The aliens gain access to our door. I watched them killing them and...and..."He said, "I didn't do anything. I was weak at that moment and saw this gun which was owned by my dad and I started using it. That is why I smile hoping the future will be better" he tries to smile while tears were flowing from his eyes.
Alan felt the pain as he was sad and said, "I'm so sorry"
Yuki was surprised and looks at Joey.
So they continued to go to main gate and they suddenly hear a noise. Yuki was afraid as his leg started shaking. Alan saw him and sighed, "You're such a scaredy cat"
Thomas points the gun on them and he looks in great shocked, "What, they're just kids"
Yuki was surprised as he saw that it was Dawn and Tyler.
"Wait, they are my friends" Yuki said as he was happy
"Hey Yuki" said Tyler
Yuki runs to meet them, "What happened to you guys?"
"I couldn't find my parents same with Tyler" Dawn said
Yuki was surprised. Alan came and said, "So stick with us if you want to find them"
Suddenly, they hear a sound of a moving vehicle approaching to them. Alan points the gun at the approaching vehicle. But Thomas laid the gun down as he observed the person
Yuki was surprised. "It's the police. Maybe he's here to help us."
"I don't think so." Thomas said "They could be aliens in disguise. A better way to take over our town is entering a vehicles that look like police car?"
"What aliens in disguise...a better way...What are you talking about?. Oh for Heaven's sake. "Don't shoot him at least."
Mr. Thomas looks at him and turns his face to the vehicle. The man stopped his car.
Hands up and step slowly out of the car," Thomas said as he points the gun at him
"Oh crap" Yuki said as his right hand touches his head
The man came out, "What is the meaning of this?" the policeman replied. "Don't you know you are talking to a policeman"
"Go to hell if you say that one more time" Thomas said while pointing the gun at him.
"Thomas that's too harsh!" Sara said
"What do you think you are doing. I just want to go home and see my wife and my only daughter" said the policeman as Yuki was surprised
"I'm just coming back from work to see if they are okay".
Yuki looks at him with pity, "He looks innocent" he thought
"Thomas, you better stop right now" said mum
"Sir, He is clearly a human" said Alan
"Okay. If you say so" Thomas walks towards him and looks at him in sideways glance, "Who won last year world cup?"
"Um…I stopped watching it when they were playing for the final. But my friends told me that it was Argentina" said the policeman
"Oh, come on." Yuki put his hands on his hips. "At least he knew it was football. How will an alien knows that Argentina won last year's world cup?"
"You have a point." said Thomas as he lower his gun
The policeman walked up to Yuki "Thank you and please I want to know exactly what's going on?"
"The television report said something about spaceships and invasions. The town thinks we're being attacked by extraterrestrials." Yuki said
"And you believe it's true" said the policeman
"Yes. I have even seen them" said Yuki
"I grant you weird things are happening. Our radio and phones are out. I was driving to see if my family are still okay." the policeman said
"I bet they will sir" said Yuki
"I better get going, I don't want to chance another encounter" said the policeman as he was heading to his car and turns to Thomas, "Remember, Ask questions first. Don't shoot first."
"Yes officer. I'm truly sorry" said Thomas as he bow down his head
"You're spoiling his fun," Joey said
So the policeman zoom off. And the rest of them laughs at Thomas
"Looks like you are overreated" said Alan
Thomas turns back as he sees Joey, Tyler and Dawn thinking they will be aliens in disguise, "Whatever" as he said. Surprisedly, aliens came and the rest of them were surprised
"Looks like we really spoil the fun" Yuki said
Alan, Joey and Thomas begins to shoot protecting the rest of them that is Sara, Yuki, Tyler and Dawn.
"Shit they are too many of them" Yuki said as he talks in his mind
"Guys the best way for us it's to split up so that the aliens wouldn't catch us" Mr. Thomas said as he shoots aggressively
Alan was surprised and said, "What!" as he continues to shoot
"Alan you protect Yuki, Joey you protect the two kids and I'll protect your mother" said Mr. Thomas
"No. There is no way I'm leaving my mother behind" Yuki said as he was angry.
"It's okay" said Sara, "That will be fine, Thomas" as she agreed with the plan.
Alan walks to Thomas and bow his head down, "Thank you for everything sir"
"The Pleasure is all mine." Thomas said as Joey came and hugs him, "I'm gonna miss you, Uncle Thomas." said Joey
"Take care of yourself kiddo" said Mr. Thomas
"Hey Scaredy-cat, don't die for us" said Tyler
"You got that" Dawn said, as she pointed him
"Yeah" said Yuki "And you have to do the same promise for me. None of us are going to die"
The two smiled and suddenly the ground started to shake as a building was about to collapse
"Now go!!" said Mr. Thomas demanded. They split themselves into three as they missed it. "Remember, don't go to the main road"
Yuki saw his mother as Alan carries him and runs, "Mum!"
"Don't worry about me. Take care of yourself. Please make sure you come visit me. If everything is over" said Sara as tears flows down from her eyes, "Please don't die you two"
Yuki was sad and didn't know what to say. He was in great pain seeing his mother leaving him, "Mum" as he started to cry. Alan was still running holding Yuki.
Later, he tripped off and fell on the floor. Yuki was surprised, "Alan"
Alan got up and continue to runs. Yuki saw that he was injured and was astonished. Aliens came and Alan was angry and brings out his gun, he started to shoot, "You piece of shit!". Later he ran to the other side of the road. And he surprisedly saw aliens coming out from then.
"This must be main road" said Alan. He continues to run till it was night and eventually it came to a dead end. And there was no place to go.
"We're going to die, we're going to die" said Yuki as he was in fear
The aliens started to come as Alan drops Yuki after carrying him. Alan couldn't move or jump over the wall because he was injured.
He immediately makes a phone call, okay was his response. Yuki was surprised and said, "What are you doing?"He then ended it and faces Yuki, "Yuki, I want you to be strong" Alan said
"What do you mean?" Yuki was surprised
"You need to go without me" said Alan
"No No No, I can't leave you this time" said Yuki
"It's the only way for you to survive." said Alan
The aliens started to run in speed
"Yuki you have to go!" Alan demanded and Yuki hugged him all of a sudden
"Take care of yourself" Alan said as he suddenly throws Yuki over the wall.
"Alan!" Yuki shouted
"Forget about me, now go!" Alan said as he was attacking the aliens
Yuki ran as fast as he could and turns back, "Alan he's gonna make it I know he will". He has been running for a while now as he began to feel dizzy. All of a sudden, he fainted and looks at the approaching vehicle this time it wasn't the police car. He didn't see it clear and his eyes were finally close.
He opened his eyes suddenly and saw himself in another place, a dark room and a lightbulb shined at him in the middle "Where I'm I?"
A man walked up to him. He couldn't see his face clear and the man said, "Welcome home" and Yuki was astonished.
