"Home." while he was confused "Wait I'm I in heaven?" he tries to get up but he was tried up with a rope seeing himself sitting on a chair, "What's all this?"
"Relax kid, we wouldn't hurt you. My name's Lance" the man said while a man and a woman came. They were also seem in the same military uniform.
"It's this the kid he was talking about?" the woman asked Lance
"Yeah" Lance said.
"He looks twelve" the man said
"I'm fourteen" Yuki said
"What will chief say if he notice?" the other man said
"He already know. The government asked the chief that they should abducts children roaming round the street so that the STARs will be in great number. Remember that we are under the government."Lance said
Yuki tries to free himself from the rope that was tied to the chair, "Tell me who you are?"
Lance walked to meet him as he squats, "Like I said my name is Lance...Yoshida. I'm the commander of the STARs
"STARs what's that suppose to mean?" Yuki question
"Special Tactics and Reinforcements. Our operation is saving people in different parts of the countries from aliens" Lance said
Yuki was astonished and said,"Does that mean you knew all these would happen?"
"No. Before we fight war. And after we heard rumors about this aliens are invading, the government suggested that for now we will be attacking aliens. that was how it started" Lance said
"So why I'm I here?" Yuki said
"You are here for two reasons: one, we need you to join the STARs and two, your brother asked us to bring you here" Lance said
Yuki was astonished and said, "You know Alan is my brother?"
"Yeah. He called me to bring you" Lance said
Yuki was surprised and begins to thought "So he tried to save me" He remembered when he made the phone call. So he asked them, "So where is he, is he okay?" said as he smiled
Lance was surprised and looks at them. They turned their face from him. Yuki was suspecting them, "Where's my brother?"
Lance didn't answered and Yuki said it again as he shouted, "Where's my brother!?"
"Your brother is dead!" Lance said. Yuki was shocked. "I and my squads saw you lying on the road after picking you up. One of my team saw your brother, shedding blood everywhere. We noticed that he wasn't breathing and that was it" Lance said, as he placed his head down in sadness.
"No. Tell me you lying, tell me if this is a joke?" Yuki suggested as he was about to cry
"No it's not." Lance said. "I'm so sorry." Yuki started to cry and said, "I thought my brother will live. He save me back then and now...he's gone" started to cry and was trying to cut the rope with anger.
"Hey calm down!" the woman demanded. Yuki still continue and the man and the woman hold him as Lance came and hits Yuki's neck with his hand.
"Ouch! What was that?" Yuki said as he felt the pain
"Better way of calming your blood down because of you are in pain" Lance said
"Oh it's that...that...so..." he then fainted. The man and the woman were surprised and Lance said, "Good work you two, Freda and Edge.
"The kid is hot-tempered" Edge Suggested i.e the man
"No. He's in agony. Apparently, he's like his brother" Lance said
"How do you know, commander?" said Freda as she was surprised
"His father was my friend. You should remember him he has been working under government for six years as a forensic scientist" Lance said
"I do remember him, where is he now?" Edge said
"I don't know. I've never heard anything from him till now. Some said he's dead and he must have felt the pain from the very starting...and his brother" Lance said
"Hmm" looks at Yuki, "I see" Edge said
The next day, Yuki woke up and found himself lying on a bed as he touches his neck. He turns by his left and saw Freda.
"Good morning" she said
Yuki was confused. And he got up. "No you need rest at least six minutes" She instructed
"Have we met?" said Yuki
"You must have forgotten that I was with commander yesterday" She said
He then remembered, "Oh I remember now" as he was sad
"Are you alright" she said
"Yeah I'm fine" he said
"Okay. I made you some tea" she said as she shows him.
Yuki didn't answered and she got up from her seat, "Well I will just take my leave now. Do you need anything right now?" she said.
"No" he said as he was not looking at her.
"Okay" she then took her leave.
Lance and Edge were seen waiting for her to come as Edge flips the file and saw his full name 'Yuki Masaaki' and saw his location 'Marionville' as he was surprised, "So it's true."
"What's true?" Lance said as Freda opens the door and saw them
"That Marionville were invaded by aliens. Rumors had it that all communication devices were jammed and only about nineteen residents survived" Edge said
"Marionville...is that a big city?" Freda said
"No, It's actually a small town" Said Edge
"Those nineteen that survived where are they going to stay?" said Lance
"Somewhere safe. I don't know if they have built a building to isolate themselves. " Edge said
"I just hope his mother will still be alive" Lance said. Edge and Freda were surprised. So Lance went inside, "Let me go talk to him" and he shut the door.
Yuki sits as he looks outside and Lance sits down, "You good?" he said. And Yuki didn't answer. "Look I know how you feel"
"No. You don't know and what gives on how I feel. You know Alan more than I do, so tell me how"
"Have he ever tell you the work he does." Lance said
"No. No one knows what occupation he was into." Yuki said
"Well he was Solider" Lance said as Yuki was astonished. "And he was the captain of the STARs."
"You're lying." said Yuki as he was surprised. Then Lance begins to laugh, "Why will I be lying. Your brother knows and he didn't tell you."
"Do you have a reason for that?" said Yuki.
"He told me that he wants to do it to save you and your mother" Lance said.
Yuki was surprised and didn't know what to say. "Are you alright?" said Lance.
"My brother...was he brave?" Yuki said.
"Yes he was. He was the bravest solider we have ever got, always obeying orders" Lance said. "So tell me Yuki are you ready to fight aliens?"
"What! I can't do that" Yuki said
"Why?" Lance asked
"I can't face those creatures. They are fast and scary" said Lance
"Your brother was right, you don't act like a man" said Lance
"Hey, I'm only fourteen and I don't know how to use a weapon" said Yuki
"Then we will train you, you want to avenge your brother's death right?." Lance suggested
"Yuki looks at his hand. I really to want to save the world especially my mum, if she's still alive" Yuki said
"She will be. I know she will." Lance said
"During that day, she made a promise for me saying, 'Please make sure you come visit me. If everything is over.' that's the promise. Then i bet she's still alive." Yuki said.
"Yuki. Remember you are part of us now. All you need to do now is to fight so that you can survive" Lance said
Yuki sighed and stared at the window. Lance was wondering what Yuki will say. "Fight in other to survive" he said. "How it will end. I'm hoping to see a better world but to fight...if you say so." said as he faces Lance, "When will I start?" he said as he smiles.
Lance was astonished and got up from his seat, "I'll let the chief know if it's tomorrow, you will start then" as he was about to leave, he stopped and said, "Yuki, welcome home."
Yuki smiled and said, "Thank you"
Lance left and opened the door as he smiled, Edge and Freda were surprised.
"What happened commander?" Edge said as they were at his back walking.
"Found out that Yuki isn't a kid again. He's now a man already hoping there will be a new world" Lance said as the two were confused and Lance laughs.
"Don't understand" Freda said.
You will understand when the time comes" Lance said.
Edge and Freda looks at each other in confusion while to Yuki, he was still sitting on the bed as he stared at the window looking at the birds flying from the sky.
