It's been two months now Yuki left Marionville to a well-known southern town, Leibniz where he attended a military school, STARs Military Academy (SMA) in other for him to be a member of the Special Tactics and Reinforcement Agencies (STARs).
At SMA, the students did a lot of training like military push up even though girls were still allowed to do so, jogging, firing with different kinds of gun, and combat trainings. The high-class soldiers watches them as they perform their training to see how it goes. Yuki after defeating a student at the combat training was panting and relieved that he won. He is getting a lot of experience but the only thing that kept him having thought was when will he start piloting the Megadroids. He didn't want to ask anybody so he begin to wait for the time to come as he was patient.
Days later, the STARs hold a meeting at the conference room for the high rank soldiers. Everyone in the meeting were present and seen seated but only Michael stood up explaining to everyone about the incident.

Freda Stewart: Second Lieutenant
"Samar corporation was invaded by the extraterrestrials and where they are is close to where we are. It was said that PDS general, Nishikawa Hunt and his partner, Osanu Lorain were on the investigation. Unknowingly, one of the alien killed Osanu and the general manage to escape with an injury. Our concern is that, we will not know if the aliens will still be there since it happened two months ago or they will be coming to Leibniz." He said.
"Even though, PDS has lost many of troops, they decided to give up the mission and assist them." He added as he sat down.
"Hmph! "Assist them" my ass. We have been hanging around forming an ally with them. They still want to give up so easily, then what is going to happen to our troops?" Edge said.
"Eventually, they will no independent unit like they agree–" Lance said as he was interrupted by Freda.
"We are on the opposite side of them and let it be like that, so that everyone can be working on their own." She said.
"From the viewpoint, you are saying a soldier could not be an independent unit to others." Lanced sighed.
"Anyway about this mission, I'll like the students to deal with it as their last training." He added as everyone looked at him with their faces full of shock.
"What do you just say? The students must go on this mission. What are you saying?" Freda said.
"I want someone who is suit to go for it. Remember these children are smart, so they can do it. You all can put it into consideration and share your opinion." Lance said. So the rest decided to think of it and atlas Edge raise up his hand to answer him.
"Go on" Lance said.
"Since you want that to happen, we will like to appoint who will go on the mission." He said.
"Who do you intend to appoint?" Kubo asked.
"There's no need to appoint.We will make that as an announcement, let's see their decisions. The point is that it's isn't everybody that will go. Someone who is dauntless. Surprisedly, it's their first time encountering an alien and I can't believe they will be arriving to Leibniz." Lance said.
"You are right, Commander Lance. But that doesn't mean we wouldn't be available. We need to backup them." Kubo said while his hand was raise up indicating he agreed with that.
"Alright, I agreed with that. General Kubo will make the announcement together. Now very soon, they will be prepared to start the mission. Now let's be prepared for the necessary arrangements." Chief Price said.
Later after the meeting was over, Yuki decided to take a walk as he sees a soldier yelling at a man while his files were on the floor, who seems to be a professor. Then Yuki hurries up to see the scene.
I'm sorry, please forgive me" The man said as he bow his head down.
"Apologizing doesn't make somebody feel better!" The soldier said.
"What's the problem?" Yuki said.
"Huh, who are you?" The soldier said while he turned to Yuki.
"My name is Yuki Masaaki, just leave the man. Don't worry, I will take care of him" Yuki said.
"Hmm, okay then. So far, you can teach him a lesson as a soldier" he said as he left.
"Thank you. If you haven't come on time, I would have been beaten recklessly" the man said as he smiles and shakes his hands.
"It's okay, so tell me what happened?" Yuki asked.
"I was in a hurry to go to my lab and I accidentally hit him on my way by mistake" The man said.
"You should be careful" Yuki said and had a thought, "I even thought he was been harassed."
Yuki picks the files up and the man on white lab coat was about to carry it. Yuki insisted that he will carry it for him. He really appreciate him since he sees Yuki as a hardworking and helpful soldier. Although, not all soldiers are helpful to the scientists. After carrying the pile of files for him, they went to the STARs laboratory and Yuki drops it on the desk.
"Thank you" The man said as he really appreciate him.
"It's okay" Yuki said.
"Um...you said your name is Yuki Masaaki, right?" The man asked.
"Yes" Yuki replied.
"That means you are the son of Kozuchi Masaaki" The man said as he was excited.
"Yes I am" Yuki replied with a surprise look.
"Ah, I didn't know you were his son, you really have his resemblance and the same guise of helping others" The man said while shaking his two hands.
"You know my dad. Who was he?" Yuki asked.
"You don't know that your dad was a forensic scientist?" The man asked him with confusion.
"No. I didn't knew" Yuki said while he was shocked to hear that he was a forensic scientist.
"We were partners, my name is Charles Mahoney and I formerly work for the PDS." He said.
"Who are the PDS?" Yuki asked.
"The professional Defence Squad is an organization that deals with the protection of lives and battling against any intruders in this planet just like the STARs does" Charles said while he sat on a chair.
"Then why did you left?" Yuki asked.
"I left because I delayed the chief to tell him my report on what I've been analysing. He needed it urgently, and he gave me time to let me to figure out the evidence if not I will lose my job. Time was up and that was it." Charles explained.
"And after that, the STARs found you?" Yuki asked.
"After two years working with the PDS and yes that's how they found me and started working with your dad." Charles said. "But the truth is your dad... is alive" he said as he eyes were stared at Yuki.
"What, I thought my dad died when I wasn't given birth that's what my brother told me." Yuki said.
"You mean Alan, well that's what rumors said, he isn't in Leibniz..." Charles said.
"So where is he?" As Yuki interrupted.
"I don't know. Even though you asked the rest of the soldiers they wouldn't know." Charles said.
Yuki smiled as he clenches his fist and his head facing the ground, "If that's what the rumors said, then I'll believe it. Thank God he's alive." he said.
"Well I don't think–" before Charles could finish speaking, a alarm rang as a voice came up, drawing the attention of all the students.
"All students are needed on the training ground! I repeat all students are needed on the training ground!..."
"All students, what's going on?" Yuki said as he was confused.
"I don't know, you can go check it out" Charles said.
"Okay, it's nice meeting you" he said waving his hand as he left the lab.
Charles felt his cell phone vibrate from his pocket, he picks up his device and sees that he has received a message from Lance.
"Prof, prepare the necessary arrangements, you are coming with us in this mission."
Charles was surprised to see that they are going on a mission. So he quickly took his bag which was on the desk and puts some items in his bag and left the lab. Now to the students, they were all assemble and lined up at the training field as General Kubo came to make the announcement.
"Good day everyone, I'm glad you came here. A big incident has happened. Aliens have infiltrated Third junction in Kojo and now they have made their move to Leibniz." The students were shocked while they all looked at each others as Kubo continues, "And now as I'm standing here, I will hereby chose the students who will go for this mission. Leibniz should be save, we will aid the people and make sure no extraterrestrials will come here to terrorize us. We will choose any of you that will be capable. You will be risking your life for this mission, I don't know if all of you will survive or if even one of you will. This is your last training and who ever wins will be rewarded. It's not your abilities or your superpowers we want but your willingness to commit your life with us. Now the question is are you ready for this mission? If your answer is "yes" remain and if your answer is "no" leave. The students remain and Kubo was surprised, "Are you not afraid of dying? Are you going to give your life to those lifeform creatures since you all don't have families. After he said that, he sees fears of some students faces while some left. Yuki was surprised to see some already leaving, out of thirty two only fifteen decided to remain. Kubo sees them while they made the exit and had a thought, "Those are no dauntless soldiers. They are timorous soldiers."
As some of the students made their exit, Kubo faces to the ones that remain, "Now that you all are here, we will be leaving as soon as we are ready. Is that understood?"
"Yes sir!" They all shouted.
Michael, Edge and Freda were upstairs looking at the scene.
"After this mission, I'll like to watch a movie at the cinema" Edge said.
"Is it about the latest movie you told me about?" Freda asked.
"Yeah. I heard that it's going to be interesting and I can't wait. "Edge said as he looked at Michael and found out that something was wrong, he hasn't said anything lately. "Hey, does anything since to be the problem?" Edge asked him.
"No. Everything is fine. But first, we gotta go start preparing. The mission is going to start in few minutes. If Chief decides that he is ready, then everybody will be ready to go." He said as he left.
"You got that right, cap. I'll be there with you." Edge said. "So tell me Freda, do you have plans after this?"
"What, no. Why did you asked?" Edge asked as she turned her face from him.
"I'm asking if we and the guys could watch the movie together. We should be offduty during the week after this." Edge said.
"Well go ask the chief." Freda said.
"Hell no. You want him to remove my post. You can't be joking, aren't you?." Edge said as he was about to leave. Oh well I better start preparing on the go." then he left while Freda looked at him as she leaves.
The chosen students were getting prepared as they received weapons like a pistol strapped to the side, and a ray gun in their hands.
"The weapons are ready, so as we are prepared." Lance said to Chief Price.
"That's okay, let's get going." He said.
"I can't believe we are going to fight those aliens for real." Yuki thought as someone touches his left shoulder. It was Joey.
"Hey, I know you are excited and I'm sorry for making fun of you the other day." Joey said.
"It's okay, Joey." Yuki said.
And Joey smiles. The teams gathered up in a circle in a room where they begin to prepared for their plan. They were surrounded and in the middle was a large table
"Aliens have overrun the five floors in there. There are valuable supplies on each floors. You need to collect them all." the chief said while an holographic map comes up from the top table as he shows them the route they are and the supplies. "I'm going to divide you guys into three groups to make this mission an easy hand." The chief said as the groups are displayed below
Group A - Jim Bradford, Miki Darren and Nadia Darren.
Group B - Walter Lapick, Saito Graham and Dawn Horace.
Group C - Yuki Masaaki, Hilda Elroy and Desmond Jeremy.
Group D - Moulton Grey, Joey Lawson and Bethany Ferguson.
Group E - Winifred Douglas, Tyler Kieran and Edna Thompson.
"You groups can decide on who will be your leader. So how about we go kick some aliens ass." Chief said.
"Yeah!" Students responded.
The night was chilly but Yuki was not shivering, he was heated inside with fear as he breathes in and out trying to overcome it. The vehicle drove off as they were on their way to Third junction. When the building came into view, they discovered that it was terrorize by lot of aliens. Freda goes on top of the vehicle as she brought out her rifle, she begins to fires them as they all somersaulted. After a spending a long time shooting those aliens, they parked the vehicle and the students jump out as they hold their ray gun.
"The high-class soldiers will back you up while they go on their own securing the outside. Make sure you take this seriously and don't end this mission!" The chief demanded who decided to guide the outside with the few troops he brought and the high rank STARs. The students nod, and move in, not wasting anytime.
