Chapter 5 - Yun Chun's tragic past life

As Su Fang observed Lin Chang's stance, a sly grin crept across her face. It seemed that Lin Chang was finally regretting. With a hint of malice in her voice, Su Fang taunted, "Feeling remorseful now, are we, Lin Chang? But alas, your regret is futile. You must sign that document, no matter the cost. Today, you must either sign willingly or be forced to do so."

"Lin Chang, what's holding you back? Sign that document and return to your mother," barked the old Master Yun, his voice laced with impatience.

Lin Chang, who had been lost in her own world, jolted back to reality at the sound of his voice. Without a second thought, she picked up the pen and signed the document in a flash, leaving everyone around her stunned and bewildered. Her extraordinary abilities had transported her to a different realm, but now she was back, ready to face the new world once again.

The dining hall was as still as a frozen lake, not a single spoon clinked against a plate nor a chair scraped against the floor. The air was thick with confusion, as if the slightest sound could shatter the fragile peace. It was only when Lin Chang's figure disappeared from view that the old master Yun coughed awkwardly, breaking the silence like a twig snapping underfoot.

"That's enough," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. "That wild girl has finally left us alone. Let's not dwell on it and continue with breakfast."

A collective sigh of relief echoed through the room as the tension dissipated like smoke. But amidst the relieved faces and relaxed postures, there was one person who remained frozen in shock.

Yun Chun was jolted out of her stupor by the old master Yun, but despite her best efforts to appear composed, her inner turmoil was palpable. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss with Lin Chang, and as she delved into the memories of her past life, she realized that plot wasn't going as she wanted it to.

Yes, Yun Chun has also been reborn.

In her previous life, she made Lin Chang's life a living hell until her very last breath. All because some shadowy figure was willing to pay any price for the pleasure of watching Lin Chang's inflict pain. It was this same mysterious benefactor who had given her wings to soar, but now that Lin Chang had fled the Yun Family estate to live with her mother, would this mysterious figure contact her?

Lost in her own thoughts, she was jolted back to reality by a gentle tap on her shoulders. Turning around, she was met with the sight of Fen Hua, grinning from ear to ear. And just like that, a cunning scheme began to form in her mind.

Perhaps this fool could still be of use to her to manipulate Lin Chang. Maybe, just maybe, that mysterious figure would reach out to her. The possibilities were endless, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of what lay ahead.

This one person meant a lot to Yun Chun. It was that mysterious figure who introduced her to some people from the underworld who treated her well and taught her how to hack, which made her one of the powerful figures in the technical world.

Indeed, she was among the most influential hackers in China, known by the moniker 'W' in her past life. Her life was filled with great success and prosperity until she entered into an ill-fated marriage. Despite her husband's endless affection for her, his incompetence proved to be his undoing. His company's bankruptcy was a direct result of his inadequacy, and his inability to provide adequate protection against an attack resulted in her losing her right hand; it was really not easy for her to live a life on the streets with her disability.

'That useless man' she sneered in her heart and cursed him.

She won't marry the same useless man again now that God has given her another chance. As she thought about this, a familiar image came to mind. It had been in her heart for years.

The memory of that fateful day still lingered in her mind, etched into her consciousness like a vivid painting. She recalled the moment she caught sight of him, the most stunning man she had ever laid eyes on. His beauty was so breathtaking that he could have sailed hundreds of ships all on his own. She had only seen him from the side, but it was enough to make her heart skip a beat. His chiseled jawline and perfectly groomed 5 o'clock shadow adorned his face like a work of art. Despite being happily married and living a wonderful life, she couldn't help but be entranced by his handsome features, her eyes unable to look away.l

As she inquired amongst the people in the ball, nobody knew who he was. It wasn't that he was just any ordinary man, but rather that they were too unworthy to know his identity. He was a figure of such grandeur that they couldn't even fathom the thought of knowing him. And in that moment, she realized the stark contrast between herself and the striking figure striding in the distance.

Despite her best efforts to uncover his identity, her hacking skills yielded only meager results. He was a deity amongst mere mortals, a being of such otherworldly allure that he remained shrouded in mystery.

With a fierce determination burning within her, she vowed to win this time around. Her heart was set on making that man fall head over heels for her, and ultimately, marry him. However, she knew that this was a lofty goal that could only be achieved if fate intervened. She is now eagerly waiting for the mysterious figure to call her to torcher Lin Change and then would pave the way for her to meet the man of her dreams. Everything was connected and she will have to plan everything well.

Until then, she refused to waste her time while living in Qingdao. She was determined to take action and make her dreams a reality.
