Chapter 25 - Chapter 23: Let's build a house part 2

"I must say, it's looking quite cozy."

"I know, right?"

I say proudly as we look at the finished house. It's a house with a second floor and a basement. The first floor has a hallway that goes to a wide living room, which connects the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, hunting room, and the two stairs leading o the basement and upstairs.

Inside the basement are two rooms, which are the experimentation room and a storage area.

Upstairs are our own room, an office, and the treasure room.

Like Garwyr said, it looks so cozy. It has an appearance of a simple house painted in white. it has a porch, and the glass windows have a flower bed under them. The inside is also filled with furniture, and each room has different kinds to fit what they do.

The living room has two soft sofas facing each other with a rectangle table in between. There are also two couches in front of the fireplace with a small table. Underneath all of them are rugs, and there are flower pots on the corner of the room.

There is a counter leading to the kitchen. The kitchen has many kinds of cooking utensils and tools. There is a table to put the ingredients together with racks storing materials and cupboards filled with cups and plates.

Between the living room and the kitchen is the bathroom. Inside the bathroom are a bathtub and a toilet. There is also a water basin under a mirror.

The dining room is beside the kitchen. There is a long table with chairs and a flower vase on the top of it.

The hunting room is beside the living room. We called it "hunting room" because this is where Garwyr trains and does all his hunting job, like dismantling monsters and preparing his equipment.

Downstairs is the basement that leads to the experimentation room and the storage room.

The storage room is the place where we, if it isn't obvious, store materials in. It is also a drying area and a fermentation place.

The experimentation room is where i do my 'work'. And by 'work', I mean making magical tools, brewing potions, magic training, and crafting handicrafts.

Upstairs is a hallway that connects our room, a treasure room, an office, and a balcony.

The office where we or at least Garwyr does his official work. It is also a study and a library.

The treasure room is where we put all our valuables. It is a room with a safe in it. It also doubles as a meeting room. By the way, this was supposed to be Garwyr's room, but we decided to make it a treasure room.

Lastly, our room. Inside are a large fluffy bed, a small table, large cabinets, and two chests.

Ahh, our house...

"Finally..."

A single tear poured out of my eyes. I'm smiling as I put both my hands together. Garwyr looked at the house, feeling proud.

"That took a long time."

"Yeah... But it was so worth it."

It took us a month to build it. Not only that, building and planning them are so tiring. Garwyr gathers the resources and builds all the necessary parts while I plan and use magic to help build and refine most of them. It is also quite expensive to get all the furniture that we need. Well, Garwyr bought them from the towns alone since it is not yet safe for me to come along with him. He said not to worry about the expenses, but I'm sure it all costs a lot. Some of them are my handicrafts, such as the rugs and curtains, while there are some magical tools that I made like the water basins.

With all that being said, It is all so worth it.

"Hehehe, Ahh, I can't wait! I'll go in first!"

I said as I went inside while running.

I checked each one of the rooms and then went to the balcony. Feeling the breeze as the wind passes with leaves dancing in the air. I put both my hands on cheeks as I rest my elbows on a table, feeling happy.

As I was having a moment, I saw Garwyr preparing his hunting equipment on the stool outside our house. After he was done, he stood up, looked at me, and waved. I also waved back. After that, he then left for his usual hunt.

After he left, I stood up, feeling excited.

Hehehehehehe, Ahh, I couldn't hold my smile.

Wanna know why?

I went to our room and jumped onto the bed, and hugged the soft pillows.

Aaaaahhhhh~ So soft and fluffy!

I rolled around while hugging the pillows, giggling all the way.

The bed is also soooo soooft~

It took five minutes before I calmed down and lay down on the bed, looking at the ceiling.

It's been quite a ride these past months. I've been sold and transported to the merchant. Saved by Garwyr. Learning common sense and magic. Making crafts. And now we built a house.

While there are some moments that are scary and hopeless, it's been quite fun so far. Now that Garwyr is with me, I feel like I can enjoy more of what this world has to offer.

"To the Fate. Destiny or whoever is up there, Thank you for letting me meet with Garwyr."

I smiled, and before I knew it, I fell asleep.

When I opened my eyes, everything was hazy. For some reason, the surroundings felt familiar even though everything was quite blurry. I tried to look around, but my doesn't seem to move. As I try to understand what is going on, I hear voices.

"Hey, *****? What is your dream?"

"Me? I honestly don't know, I never found what I like to do when I graduate."

"That's kinda sad."

"Oh, lay off . What about you, *******?"

"Me? I want to travel the world! Learning all sort stuff! Knowing what kind of culture of each country is. Especially their food!"

"Haha, you're quite a foodie, *******."

"I just like eating delicious food, okay?"

"You eat so much, but for some reason, you are still fit."

"I think we both know where it all goes..."

"Why are you both looking at my chest?"

""No reason~.""

"Ugh... Oh, ******! You never told us your dream!"

"Secret~."

I heard a conversation between three girls. They all sound familiar, yet I don't remember no matter how hard I try.

Suddenly everything went all black and then I opened my eyes.

I saw Garwyr beside me. It looks like he woke me up. I covered my mouth with my right hand and yawned.

"Did I fall asleep?"

"Yep, it is already evening."

"Evening?! Oh no, I have to make dinner."

I stood up, fixed my clothes, and went to the kitchen to cook dinner.

"I'll help."

"Thanks, you cut those and put them here."

"Got it."

As we were cooking in the kitchen, he then asked me something.

"By the way, who is Kanade?"

"Who?"

"You mentioned it in your sleep as I woke you up."

"I... don't know, I don't remember anyone with a name like that."

"Huh... It must be from your dream or something."

"Perhaps? I already forgot that I had a dream."

It must be some sort of weird dream. Well, whatever, time to cook!
