Chapter 30 - Chapter 28: Hunter's rank

If one becomes an official hunter of the association, they will start at the bottom. To determine their quality and performance, they are given ranks to differentiate each hunter and categorize them based on their skills. The ranking is based on numbers being the seventh as the lowest

The ranking is as it follows:

Seventh ranker: Beginner/ Hunter Apprentice

Sixth ranker: Rookie Hunter

Fifth ranker: Regular Hunter

Fourth ranker: Veteran Hunter

Third ranker: Seasoned Hunter

Second ranker: Expert Hunter

First ranker: Master Hunter

Third rankers and above are considered the pinnacle of being a true hunter. After all, ranking up takes a lot of time and effort. Not only that, you must have a talent and strength for monster hunting. By reaching these rank, You will become famous and well-known. A target of awe, admiration, and inspiration for every young and old hunters alike.

Third ranker have the privilege of being a VIP and often commissioned by nobles and leaders.

Second rankers have the same privilege. They are given a title bestowed upon a royal family, and these titles are considered the highest honor bestowed upon a hunter. Titles are equivalent of being a figure with authority, and they are also used as an identification when they enter a town or a city.

First rankers are on a whole new level. Not only that they are given a lots of VIP privileges, benefits and a title, they are also given a second name. A name that will be knowned throughout the whole continent as a proof of their achievements, strength and fame. A second name also have the highest authority below the kings and emperors. Upon reachin this rank, you are now considered a legend among the hunters.

Since i am a second ranker, i have been given an utmost respect and care for every commission despite being a kid, and an access to the butchering room in which they are given first priority by the association. Hence why, i was able to sell my hunts privately. I don't use them often, but this time i did to avoid troublesome matters. Although, i was mot avoid completely since i was called out by one of them...

I also have a title as a second ranker in which supposed to make me famous but the association did not spread my name. Since i was registered at the Garehis branch (Sköll Headquarters, which is my affiliation) The association (Sköll) pull a string from behind to made that happened.

By the way, my master Yorwain is a First ranker. He got a title called "The Silver Alpha". His second name or nickname is Silvermight.

As the Gus and Wesley explained the ranking system to the children, the group of hunters who they were arquing from before are looking at me with contempt.

"Hah! A kid like you as a second ranker?! What a joke!"

"What bunch of lies are you spouting, you brat?!"

"This place is not a f*ck*ng daycare! First these sh*tty brats and now you?! F*ck Off!!"

These dirty looking hunters are shouting so loud that the other hunter and the staff are now looking them. The children glared at them while Gus and Wesley frown.

While i did not show any reaction, i was dumbfounded. These men are not even that strong, and yet they think they are big deals just because they are hunters. It's the same with Silper. Does the Sarvall kingdom have only these riff raff of a hunter? My homeland does have some rough ones, but at least they have the strength to back it up, and they are not very rude and annoying. They are mostly drunk, picking fights, brawls then passed out. In the next morning, they made up with each other and became friends even more friendly with each other. It was often called "Bonding with your comrades," but here, it's just pure idiocy and foolishness.

Before Gus and company tried to argue with them, a tall figure appeared from behind the counter.

"What is going on here?!"

The figure shouted as everyone got quiet.

Oh? I know this person. Tall muscular body, Spiky silver hair donned with a bandana, and a scar on his face. He wore what it seems to be a uniform for a leader of association. He got a sword inside a scabbard hanging on his waist.

Yes, there is no doubt about it. He is Esteban Sario. A sixty-three years old former Knight and now the head of every branch here in Agellis territory. He is one of the prominent figures as he is the one who always successfully defended Sarvall kingdom from invaders and monsters. He left that duty to his son Hegar Sario and became a leader of Hunter's Association at Agellis territory branches. His title is "Knight of Hundreds," as his strength is equivalent of a hundred veteran soldiers combined.

And right now, he is heading towards the rough hunters. Despite his calm looking expression, he is exerting a pressure enough to made them shrink back.

"And what is this i heard about this place being a daycare, hmm?"

"W-we j-just..."

"Silence! It is already stated on the rules that children at the age of twelve can join the association. While they may be children, they still chose this job because they are prepared to risk their lives to hunt monsters. It is our job as both adult and fellow hunters to guide them. So, instead of wasting your time spouting nonsense, go out there to hunt and be more productive!"

""''Y-Yes Sir!!!"""'

They ran as they get out of the building.

"Sorry about that Lord Esteban."

"Hmph. You should've handle that with force to make them shut up. You too, Wesley!"

"Sorry..."

"They are just bark and no bite. And these children?"

"They are a kind of family to us so we are guiding them as they register here."

"Is that so?"

He then looked at the children and nodded.

"Always listen to these two. Remember, survival is upmost important to a hunter. Do not attempt to take on a monster that you can't handle."

As he gives some advice to children, i was then called the receptionist. She then gave me the payment of the transaction.

"Oh?"

As i turned around, i saw Esteban staring at me.
