Chapter 10 - The Cosmic Crossroads

In front of the door to the Cosmic Crossroad stood a bouncer. The man was tall, muscular, and wore black sunglasses through which his eyes could not be seen.

Thanatos and Morgana approached the doorman and said, "Wait, who are you? Give me something I can identify you with, or you won't get in here."

The man took his job seriously; this bar was not normal, and a normal person would die if it was not ready or strong. A normal human could never enter this bar and leave it without a fight or being killed. Many supernatural beings coveted humans. That's why they were hunted. Especially in the Middle Ages and before, they practiced on the earth and took people with them when they needed it. But this often resulted in disputes and wars between the different races. A war for resources called humans.

An agreement between the different races was then made. Nobody had to worry about resources anymore, but the truth was different. The supernatural beings that humans coveted still fought over humans just as much; they just hid it.

Thanatos reached into his pocket and pulled out a kind of silver plate with a crest on it. The crest of the Gravestone family,

"Thanatos Gravestone. A grim reaper, she is part of my clan; her name is Morgana."

Small drops of sweat formed on the doorman's face when he heard what Thanatos was saying. He knew that Grim Reapers weren't evil, but provoking one was nothing but stupid. Every mortal being feared death, and it was exactly this that stood twice in front of this man.

The doorman got out of the way and stood in silence next to the door. Trying to hide his fear.

'Just how deep are the pockets of this man? I mean, he seriously pulled something like this out, and before he pulled 15000 euros out of his pocket like it was nothing, Morgana had no clue how many pockets this man had, and every time he pulled something out of them, Boom, his problem was solved; it was as if there was an internal portal inside his pockets. She had to check that in the future and see what was inside these mesmerizing pockets.

Thanatos and Morgana walked through the door, and a huge bar was seen. There were at least ten bars, with more than 15 bartenders and staff rushing everywhere to get orders out.

Morgana realized that the bar was without a doubt a Cosmic Crossroude, but the name Racial Crossroude would suit it better. There were werewolves, vampires, witches, ghosts, and dwarfs, and Morgana was sure that on a different day there could be many more races. But that was not their problem.

Morgana saw how Thanatos walked over towards a bar where nobody sat. Morgana followed him and sat with Thanatos at the bar. But there was something; everybody looked at them and whispered things to each other, but only when they realized they were going to that one empty bar and sat down next to her.

When Morgana sat down, she noticed that there was no bartender and saw a single bell standing on the desk. Morgana pressed it, and soon a man came out of a backroom.

The man was a werewolf; he had brown fur growing on his arm and big hands with sharp nails. He was tall and had green eyes.

"I have to disappoint you, but this bar is only reserved for the owner of this bar and friends of hers." The werewolf spoke with a raspy voice.

"Well, nobody is here right now, and the others are all taken, so if nobody is here, can we at least sit here until two of the others leave? You don't want a lady like me standing for too long in a corner. Do you?" Morgana used the same trick Thanatos used on Hana. Before, she thought that using someone's attractiveness was a no-go, but right now she realizes that it would get them a benefit, as long as she could back down and nothing happened in the end. Nobody was hurt, right?

The bartender nodded and began to clean a few glasses. When.

"William! What did I tell you? Only me and VIPs are allowed to drink at this bar!" The loud voice of a woman was heard. The woman had blonde hair that went down to the back of her knees. She had red eyes and an extremely curved body that riveled Morganas, and the tight body suit she wore made them look even bigger. Thanatos questioned himself. Why does every woman in this town who has big breasts and a big ass have to wear such clothes and show off what they have? First Hana's mother, and now even this woman? Morgana did her best to hide them. Morgana hated the looks she got when she would wear something tighter, and that's why she often wore clothes that were too big for her to hide them as best she could. Which didn't really work either, but she did what she could.

"Sorry, but we don't drink anything; we just sit here until a place at the other bars gets free." Thanatos had no intention of getting into a conflict with the owner of the bar. His plan now was to get away and ask a few people if they knew anything about Aiko Yamamoto.

"Then who are you? Tell me your name and the name of the girl next to you." The woman was still angry; she knew when someone was lying, and it was obvious for everybody that the man in front of her was a big package full of lies.

Thanatos briefly looked at Morgana; this woman could cause problems if she knew their names. Morgana nodded. She got what Thanatos meant; it was risky saying their names to her, but they had to take the risk. If they want to freely move around, ask the people in the bar.

"My name is Thanatos Gravestone, the second, and this woman besides me is Morgana. I don't know her last name; if you are that curious, you can ask her yourself."

The woman took a step back and opened her mouth in shock. She opened it so wide that something was seeable, and this was her sharp vampire fangs. She was a vampire, and a strong one.

"Wait, does that mean you are Helene's son?" The woman covered her mouth; she was a little embarrassed that someone saw them.

"Well, if my name is 'Thanatos' and my last name is 'Gravestone', followed by 'the second', who else would I be?" Thanatos was the same straightforward man he'd always been. It was a behavior he couldn't quite control. Things like that keep slipping out of his head, and he hates that side of himself.

"Then you can stay. No, better that you come with me." The woman was excited, but Thanatos never saw this woman in his entire life. But he decided to follow her.

But before the two left, the vampire woman turned around, pointed with her finger at Morgana, and said, "Oh, and you can come with me too."

And left together with Thanatos in the blink of an eye.
