"You are allowed to take only one artefact ." " the guard said as the two of them walked through the treasury's hallway. The treasury was full of legendary artefacts, strong enough to turn the tide of any battle going on or even help a small baron rise to the top.
"You are new to the academy, so you might not know how the treasury functions." The guard and Aldrich stopped in front of a massive door.
"The Artefacts present in the hallway we walked through are mostly replicates. The precious treasures are behind closely guarded doors. You are allowed to take either an S-rank replicate, or you can move forward, where the guide will help you to choose an A-rank artefact", the guard said, waiting for Aldrich to make his choice.
"I am not interested in fakes; let's move on", Aldrich said as the guard opened the next door, where another guard was waiting for them.
