Carl tried to pry further, but Aldrich stopped him.
"They might have gone directly to the mines to complete the mission before us", he said, looking at the village chief.
"Can we have some accommodations for the night? We would like to start investigating the mine tomorrow morning."
The Village chief was silent for some time before he led them to a small hut,
"The village's financial condition is not good enough. This is the best we can provide for you. I apologise", he said.
The three of them entered the hut to notice that there was nothing except a few mattresses to lie down on.
Aldrich waited for the chief to leave before lying down on the mattress.
Aria looked out of the window, "The reports seem correct. The Chief is very suspicious", she said, noticing the frail-looking chief carrying a shovel on his back.
