"The winner is Jake!" the invigilator announced as the crowd cheered. Being the emperor's son, he was the favourite to win the entrance exams.
"Wait! Someone else is moving", one of the teachers pointed out as Jake looked to his side, noticing that Aldrich had still not lost consciousness.
"Kugh", Aldrich spewed a mouthful of blood as he opened his eyes, noticing that Lumi was using all her mana to heal Aldrich.
"It's okay, you can stop", he coughed as he stood up, looking towards Jake, whose expression turned ugly.
The invigilator stepped down the arena as the two students glared at each other.
"Get up, Ash, we will not be fooled anymore", Aldrich said, looking towards Ash, who opened his eyes,
"Was I caught? And here I thought my acting was perfect." Ash stood up as he started to shake the dust off his clothes.
"You betrayed me!" Jake shouted. "You diverted the attack towards me at the final moment!"
