things that I noticed about my cards were that they had a rarity.
if it was purple you know you got something really good, and red is medium, and yellow is trash.
the yellow ones are temporary, the red ones stay for a bit, but purple ones are permanent. the only downside is that purple is extremely rare.
the arm guard that the elf gave me proved to be extremely helpful. it could hold a couple of decks of cards and it has a tiny pocket dimension for small stuff.
I was back in the forest searching for XP and the goblins that resided there.
other monsters resided in the forest but nothing too dangerous.
wolves, trolls, and some other minor monsters. but nothing like dragons or anything, which was a relief.
my fingers moved expertly when I was attacking, and I could accurately pinpoint their weaknesses.
their weakness was highlighted in a golden light. and so far from what I saw it worked on everyone.
(do you know what the weak spots on a stone node in rust look like? it looks somewhat like that)
being the only adventurer in our town also had lots of benefits. like a discount at the blacksmith, or just getting stuff for free.
I still paid for my stuff though.
also, another thing about being the only adventurer in this town means you get lots of requests.
goblin ears, medical herbs, mana flowers, and killing people.
but I only kill certain people, since professionals have standards.
be polite, be efficient, and be prepared to kill everyone you meet.
as I say this I cut off the ear of the goblin that I had killed. I heard a yap and looked up to see a wolf pup approach me.
I looked at the wolf and cut a piece of the goblin and gave it to the wolf.
"where's your mom huh girl," I said as I gently pet her.
the wolf pup began nuzzling into my hand as I fed her.
I sighed and cut off more pieces of the goblin for the tiny wolf.
"...Lupe... that's what I'm going to call you," I said gently scratching behind her ear.
the wolf growled and tried biting my fingers.
"oh, you don't like it?" I chuckled as I rubbed her back.
"Luna?" and another bite.
it would continue until I reached one the wolf liked.
"Avery?" I said.
the wolf paused before it yapped clearly liking the name.
I smiled at my new friend.
Of course, it didn't last for long since soon I was surrounded by a wolf pack that was glaring at me.
I saw the golden stars on the wolves, I didn't make any movements because I knew why they were there.
"seems your family isn't very welcoming huh girl" I said gently scratching her neck.
Avery was snuggled into my lap and made no attempts to move.
one of the pack members moved forward slowly until she was right in front of me. I made no movements so she knew I wasn't hostile.
the wolf gently bit the pup's neck and carried her away. I watched the wolf go peacefully.
I got up and dusted myself off, I began making my way to the adventures guild where I got paid 4 silver and 20 copper.
the elf lady there only gave me a wink as she saw I was wearing her arm brace.
I made my way to the alchemist in town. she was a relatively older lad-
"Isn't it rude to do this about a woman's age?" Miss Lisa said as she leaned back in her chair.
"...sorry Miss Lisa," I mumbled.
"what was that Sweetie" Lisa said as electricity crackled in her hand.
"I said sorry miss Lisa" I shivered.
her magic was painful. I would know, I saw her without clothes one time and got the shock of a lifetime.
"so what did you come here for sweetie," Miss Lisa said as she leaned over her counter.
I laid the healing orbs on the counter next to her.
"for the healing potions," I said.
"oh? So your planning on going deeper into the woods aren't you" she said laughing.
"I am... I need to be better" I said.
Miss Lisa shook her head before looking at me in pity.
"you know what you need? you need a girlfriend, maybe someone your age to tie you down instead of going on a suicide mission and dying young" she said before she squeezed my cheeks.
I clenched my teeth before looking her directly in the eyes.
"I hate girls my age. they are yucky" I said.
Miss Lisa laughed.
"oh yes I know, after all, you like mature women don't you" she whispered in my ear.
"I do," I said without denying it. after all, there wasn't a point for me to lie.
Miss Lisa just laughed as she handed me four flasks full of red liquid.
"don't go dying on me... otherwise I'm going to lose the only customer I have," Miss Lisa said.
I took the flask and made my way to the door but before I left I turned around.
"I don't plan to die," I said.
I then left the shop.
"so much hate for such a young boy" Miss Lisa said as she began reading her book again.
