Luna's Point of View
Throughout the day, I had been grouped with Sky four times. There were a few subjects where he wasn't my classmate. In all our activities during the groupings, I didn't hear a word from him. When it came to groupings, he would just pull me to our group's spot. He was quiet.
I can say that Sky is handsome. Fair-skinned, tall, has a sharp nose, and beautiful eyes. I returned the pick he left behind at the park yesterday. Sky can be quite arrogant too. After I returned it to him, he was still rude to me. Many people seem interested in him. Many approach him to ask what to do, even right after discussing the instructions.
Before I moved classrooms, he told me to come back to their classroom after dismissal.
Our last subject ended. The teachers here are too strict. I can't understand the behavior of my classmates—they're too boastful. All they do is compete in recitation. If those who joined lose, they immediately pay 100 pesos. They're already smart, yet they still compete for money. It's as if they're the ones paying for their own education and can waste money.
I looked at my watch and hurriedly ran when I saw that it was already 6 o'clock in the evening. We agreed to meet at 5:30 in front of their room. Their building is quite far.
Even from a distance, I could already see his frowning face. He was standing with his arms crossed, staring at me as I approached.
"What do you think I am? Your nanny? Your tutor? If I could, I would have asked your parents to pay me more. My house is far, and I still have things to do." He said in a cold tone.
"Sorry. I won't be late next time." I just bowed my head. He took out the chord book he brought and opened his bag containing the guitar.
"Are we going to have the lesson here?" I glanced at their classroom to see if anyone was inside. It was just open, and his ID had the key.
"Yes. Do you have a problem?" He raised an eyebrow at me.
"Well, wasn't it agreed that all the sessions would take place at my house?" I knew my mom had mentioned that to him. He should already know. Unless...
"I don't want to." He replied firmly. He entered the classroom and sat at the table.
"You might do something to me." He added.
What am I, a pervert?
"Wait a minute. You've been like this with me since earlier. Shouldn't you be nice to me because my parents are paying you?" I frowned at him. Annoying. He looks disgusted with people!
"Fine!" I turned around and walked out. I don't care if I don't learn the guitar. He's so irritating. He's already acting like this on the first day. As if it's my fault that he became my tutor.
I turned around when I felt him following me.
"I don't like talkative people." He said, looking into the distance.
I immediately smiled and walked alongside him.
"Let's ride in my service, Sky. It will be faster," I said, looking at my phone to see if Kuya Leo was about to pick me up.
"Kuya Leo is about to arrive. Just ride with us for a quicker trip," I added.
I looked at Sky to see if he was listening to me. He was still wearing earphones! Whatever. He's annoying.
Kuya Leo's car stopped in front of us as we exited the campus gate. I opened the door and waited for Sky to get in.
"Sky, get in." The jerk ignored me. I pulled out the earphones he had been wearing since earlier.
"I'll ride the tricycle. I don't want to go with you." He said without enthusiasm.
"Oh, son. Just come with us. Luna's house is far from here. You'll have to pay double fare if you ride a tricycle." Kuya Leo hurried him. He still had work after dropping us off.
"Sky, get in. Don't be difficult." I grabbed his guitar and brought it inside the car. I saw the surprise and annoyance on his face.
"You'll regret this, Luna." He threatened me and got in.
We hadn't gone far from the campus when I suddenly heard Sky retching.
"WHAT THE—SKY?! WHAT'S WRONG?!" I quickly covered his mouth. He was about to throw up.
"I-I'm getting dizzy from the vehicles..." He whispered. Kuya Leo handed him a snow bear to alleviate his dizziness. He quickly ate the candy and leaned his head against the seat.
"We're almost there." I adjusted my seat and unbuckled my seatbelt. I also held his chord books for him.
When we got out of the car, Sky was swaying.
"You're dizzy? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I smirked. He just glared at me and straightened up. He still looked nauseous.
"Come inside." I gestured for him to come to our living room. I made him sit down and gave him some water to drink.
I went upstairs to change my clothes. I put on an oversized shirt and jogging pants.
When I came down, I saw him neatly arranging the things we would be using.
"Where are your parents?" He asked, looking around.
"They're at work. They're only here on weekends."
He coughed upon hearing what I said.
"Really? Okay. Let's start." He prepared the guitar and the chord book.
"Fix your grip on the guitar. I'll start with teaching you simple chords." He began. He showed me where to place my fingers and what the lines on the guitar were called.
This is hurting my hands.
"Now strum." He looked at my fingers intently. I tried to strum, but I couldn't hear any tone. I only heard the pick scraping against the strings.
"That's okay. Show me the basic chords I taught you. Em, G, D, C, and A." He stood up and stood beside me, staring at my fingers as if he wanted to chop them off with his intense gaze.
*Shows middle finger*
"Not funny." He said coldly and gave me a nasty look.
"Sorry. It's just too difficult. My fingers hurt," I complained. My fingers really hurt. These strings are too hard to press.
"No pain, no gain, Luna. Just show me the chord positions. We'll put band-aids on your fingers later." He looked at me seriously. I stared at his poker face.
"You should be grateful. I don't even like you." I gave him a glare and started showing him the chords he taught me. I still couldn't strum those chords. It really hurt my fingers.
"I don't like girls like you either. Focus!" He squinted his eyes at me and frowned.
I hope your eyes fall out. Jerk!
Our three-hour session ended. I invited him to have dinner here, but he refused. He said he was in a hurry. I asked for his Facebook account and we exchanged numbers. He gave me some assignments. My assignment is to play the chords in a song I know.

Sky's Point of View
It's draining to be with Luna. First, she talks too much. She asks too many questions and complains a lot. Second, she's restless. She doesn't listen to me and keeps changing positions.
—Earlier—
"Sky, do you have a girlfriend?" She suddenly faced me.
"Not yet." I replied without enthusiasm. Really? Out of nowhere?
"Focus first. Your irrelevant gossip can wait." I moved away from her and sat on a distant sofa.
"Strum. Let me hear it. I need to hear it from here," I said. Surprise was evident on her face upon receiving my command.
"Wait. Did you say I just need to show you the chords?" she asked.
"Let me hear it." I stared at her and sat properly on the sofa.
You talk too much. You've been doing it since earlier.
She strummed some random patterns. I couldn't understand what she was doing. I couldn't hear the chords I taught her, and it seemed like she couldn't press the strings properly.
I stood up and adjusted the pillows on the sofa.
"That's it. I think that's enough for your first day. In the next session, I should be able to hear those basic tunes." I approached her and handed her the capo I brought.
"Find a song with basic chords and capo. Use that to reduce the pressure when pressing the strings, even just a little. Develop some callouses. Like this." I showed her the calloused tips of my fingers.
"Wow!" She exclaimed, grabbing my hand.
"Eww." She added.
"What's 'eww'? You're so fussy. Alright, I'm leaving." I packed up all my things and left their house.
She offered me dinner, but I declined. I don't eat dinner.
I took her Facebook account and phone number for communication purposes.
"Luna," I said as I typed her name in my phonebook.

Where am I now?
I can't remember where we passed earlier to get here. The subdivision is too vast with many twists and turns.
"I should have asked her to accompany me home." I whispered as I dialed Luna's number to ask for directions.
—on call—
"Hello, Lun—"
"Oh? Are you lost? I'm right behind you."
I quickly turned around and ended the call. She was indeed right behind me, still on her bike. How did I not notice that?
"Get on. I'll take you out." She approached me and grinned.
"I'll ride? On your small bike like that?" I gave her a disdainful look. I decided to get on to get home faster. I sat on the back of her bike.
"You're so heavy," she gasped. She let me down and we decided that I would drive while she guided me.
"Thanks for the ride. I'll go ahead." I turned around and walked away.
My phone vibrated from my pocket. I immediately checked the message.
"Luna: Take care. See you tomorrow."
I felt strange after reading that message from Luna.
She's different. Out of all the girls I've met, she's the only one who hasn't shown any affection or attraction towards me. I'm starting to get chills from the girls at our school. They all scare the living shit out of me.
