Chapter 4 - Only a chance when it's redeemed

Long live your highness," chorused the council of elders.

"I don't understand why we have to wear these heavy costumes, but I'm glad the old men are putting on red. It means I've seen another color different from black," I said, sitting down on the big chair referred to as the throne by the lady general.

"Dear old men, I very much appreciate your effort, but you all should be resting at home. You're too old, and I don't want to stress you at all."

"Your highness, what are you saying?" Luli asked, standing beside me with a confused look.

"I'm telling them to go home and relax, of course," I explained with a light smile.

"They're waiting for your order to start the war," she whispered into my ear.

"But they're old. They should be relaxing at home with their wives and children," I said with a serious tone.

"They're not following you to war, your highness. They just want to hear you say the word 'start'!" Luli clarified.

"Oh... Alright then, since you're all willing to help me, let the war start," I said, and they all started to jubilate happily.

"We have to get you ready, your highness," Luli said, leading me to the previous dark room.

"Why should I put on a mask?" I asked, confused.

"Nobody outside the demon realm knows how the queen looks like. You always wear a mask," replied Luli, handing over a black mask to me, which I accepted.

I heard the words "demon realm." What does she mean by that? "What demon realm are you talking about, girl?" I asked, my gaze fixed upon her.

"You're the Demon Queen of the demon realm, of course," she replied, and that word seemed familiar.

What? Demon Queen? Yeah, the story that old man gave me. I read the first chapter, and it's all about the demon queen and that sect. What's going on exactly? I thought, but there was no one to answer my questions.

It can't be what I'm thinking. Am I actually inside the novel? Oh, come on, that's crazy. But what if it's true? I've watched different movies about transmigration. What if I'm actually being transmigrated? And it's not any other role but a villain? Damn! I'm doomed. I stood, lost in the whirlpool of my thoughts until Luli called me, bringing me back from my thoughts.

"Where did your mind wander off to? It's time to go, your highness," she said with a cute smile, leading me all the way until we got to a place where thousands of muscular men were gathered with the lady general and those elders of the council.

"The vanish spell, your highness?" She asked, seeming to tell me to do something which I had no idea about.

"What vanish spell?" I asked, making them all shift their gaze upon me, stunned by my statement.

"I'll cast the spell, your highness, but you'll have to tell me what's going on when we get back," the lady general said, getting down from her horse and beginning to cast spells.

"Who exactly is that lady?" I asked with a grumpy look.

"You mean your sister, Yang Xiu, the general lady" Luli said with a bright smile.

"Sister? What sister?" I asked, looking confused, but I got no reply from Luli, who had been distracted by something else.

"It's time!" the lady general, or should I say my sister, shouted, and all I could notice was that we started flying in the sky and finally arrived at God knows where.

>>Mountain between the demon clan and Mount Hua<<

In front of me stood the mighty Zhang Han, standing pompously with a group of people standing behind him. I can't believe I would see this fool here. I gotta teach him a lesson, I thought, fixing my gaze on Zhang Han, who also seemed to fix his gaze on me.

I'm glad I'm putting on a mask. I can teach him a lesson without him identifying me. Just one push from me would make him break his back and spill out blood like the other guy, I thought with a feeling of satisfaction.

"Mount Hua disciples, let's bring down the demon!" he yelled, and the others standing behind him replied.

"Yes, senior disciple," they chorused.

"We fight till the end!" Yang Xiu yelled, and before I knew it, the armies and Mount Hua disciples were already fighting against each other.

I got no problems with them, though, except Zhang Han, I thought as I moved towards him, my eyes filled with hatred and anger, ready to devour him.

"Be careful, your highness!" Yelled Luli, who was casting out black magic at the disciples.

I was just about to be slashed by Zhang Han's sword as he seemed to keep aiming at me nonstop. What's wrong with me? How come I can't use my powers to defeat him? I thought as I got saved by Luli, who dodged a sword for me, or I would have been dropped dead.

"What are you thinking about, your highness?" She asked worriedly as she continued to fight the disciples. I honestly don't know myself. I just crushed a person back against the wall the other time, and here I can't even defeat Zhang Han, I thought sadly, and this got me more infuriated, seeing Zhang Han wielding his sword like a trained martial artist.

"Damn! That idiot still remains pompous even in this novel life," I said as I rolled my eyes at him.

"Stone monster, listen to my command and defeat the disciples!" Yang Xiu yelled, and the stones from the ground started building up until a human form was formed, and it started fighting the disciples.

The fight lasted for hours until many of the Mount Hua disciples were injured, and I heard Zhang Han instructing them to withdraw, which they complied with, casting spells that made them all vanish into thin air.

Finally, we were all alone in the mountain with the demon soldiers. "Are you okay, your highness?" Luli asked, looking worried.

I've lost a lot of blood due to the cut earlier. Suddenly, everything started getting darker, making me lose consciousness.
