"Zhang Han! What do you mean you couldn't defeat the demon clan?" Taiyuan, the leader of Mount Hua, asked angrily.
"They awakened the stone monster, many of our disciples were injured," Zhang Han said with his face bowed.
"Stone monster? The demon clan is known to be vicious. How's your injury?" Taiyuan asked.
"It's getting better, sect leader, but most of the disciples are injured. They need time to heal before we attack the demon clan again," Zhang Han said.
"We will be recruiting more disciples soon. Tell one of the junior disciples to inform the mortals that anyone interested should apply within seven days," said Chief Taiyuan.
"Yes! I must share something with you, teacher. I was able to cut the demon queen with my sword," Zhang Han said.
"What? How is that possible?" Asked Chief Taiyuan, his eyes suddenly wide open like someone desperately looking for something lost.
"I don't know either, but it seems strange. She seems like someone who isn't experienced in fighting. Nobody has ever attacked the demon queen and succeeded, but I did today, and it's quite terrifying," Zhang Han said confidently.
"That's strange, but you did well. Go ahead and treat your injury. We'll talk more when you're fully recovered," said Chief Taiyuan.
"Yes, teacher," he replied and then made an exit.
Taiyuan's POV<<<<
He attacked the demon queen?? Guess we're getting closer to the day we will finally defeat the demon clan.
We've tolerated them for quite a long time now. I'll make sure the new disciples are trained perfectly, and I'm sure we will defeat them sooner. But first, I must invite the two chiefs over and discuss.
Demon clan<<<
My head hurts, and I tried to open my eyes just to see myself back in that dark room.
"Arrrrrgh... Are you people enemies with colors?" I said angrily to Luli, who was busy massaging my legs.
"You're finally awake," she said happily. "What do you mean, Your Highness?" She asked, having stopped what she was doing, waiting for me to explain what I meant.
"Do you people only live here? Is there no other place to go? Somewhere fun," I asked with sadness written all over my face.
"Do you want to attack the human world again, Your Highness?" She asked excitedly.
Anywhere but this dark place would be better. I really need to see some colors, I thought, smiling happily.
"Yes, the human world. It will really help me," I said as I stood up, feeling energetic.
"You'll mess up the bandage!" she screamed, and just then I noticed my stomach being bandaged neatly, but how come I felt no pain.
"Are you okay, Your Highness?" she asked worriedly.
"Can we go now?" I asked, walking up to the box filled with plenty of cloth, but it turns out all the clothes were black, no colors at all.
"What? Now? You're in so much hurry to attack them, and moreover, your wound is still fresh," she said, and I could sense some sadness in her tone.
She's being sincere to the wicked demon queen after all, but can't she tell that I'm different from their queen? Being here as a villainess is damn annoying, I thought but soon snapped out of my thoughts.
"I'm not attacking anyone. I just want to enjoy myself," I said, and I could sense some feeling of confusion within her, but who cares.
"We'll have to hide our demon scent so as not to alert the Mount Hua sect," she said, to which I nodded affirmatively.
Hide whatever you want. I just can't wait to leave here and breathe in some fresh air, I thought with a bright smile. She brought out a pill which she claims to be scent-hiding pills, handing one to me, which I swallowed, and she did too.
"We're set to go now, Your Highness," she said, giving out a beautiful smile, casting out spells as we vanished into thin air.
Mortal world <<<
The mortal world is so beautiful. People can be seen doing different activities. This feels like home, even though it's different from the modern world. I still love being here.
"How much is this hair clip?" I asked, admiring a jade hair clip.
"It's twenty silver coins," replied the vendor.
"Why don't you collect a hundred silver coins!" yelled Luli, who looked at the man angrily.
"What's wrong?" I asked with a frown.
"It's too expensive. He wants to dupe you," she said as she dragged me away from the vendor.
We soon came across a clothes store and got inside without thinking twice. "Welcome, young lady. You're welcome to the Chen House store," the voice said.
It's a beautiful lady dressed in blue robes, her hair styled with different jade ornaments. "I want something like this," I blurted out without realizing it, but I'm glad she understood the assignment as she started showing me different clothes designs and materials.
I finally settled on a blue robe, my hair neatly styled, and beautiful makeup applied to my face.
"I look so beautiful," I said, admiring myself in the mirror.
"Yes, young lady. Are you going to buy the two?" Asked the young lady, smiling.
"Yes, of course. I'm buying them," I said and handed over some silver coins to her for the payment of the clothes before leaving with Luli.
Luli and I were soon settled in an inn after we had eaten lots of delicacies in the restaurant earlier.
"Are we not going home tonight, Your Highness?" Asked Luli.
"Which home? You refer to that dark place as home?" I said as I settled down on the neatly spread bed.
"The general would be looking for you. We have to go back tonight," said Luli.
"Can you just spare me a break, young lady? We'll go tomorrow, okay?" I said, to which she complied by keeping shut.
I guess their queen must have been a wicked villain, making them all scared of her. This little girl must have suffered a lot by serving her, I thought while staring at Luli, who just sat down in one corner of the room quietly.
"We'll leave tomorrow," I said with the calmest tone ever, and she replied by giving me a beautiful smile.
