Myst
The walk towards my room was nearly silent. It's been nearly a day since Mystic and Holden had left the palace abruptly in order to try and save Lone Caves.
I release a sigh, my head low as I push the door to my Chambers.
It's dark, and due to my clouded mind, I don't pay much attention to it as I shut the entrance to my Chambers.
With a heavy sigh, I sit on my bed. Closing my eyes, as I inhale deeply.
I felt the side of the bed dip slightly, and immediately I knew who it was as soon as his scent enveloped me before he does.
"You're here." I whisper, leaning into his embrace.
Kylan only hums as he buries his face in my neck."I missed you." He murmured, I flutter ny eyes open after some seconds.
"Same here." I whisper, turning around before embracing him.
"What's bothering you?" He asked, after some moments of silence, still holding onto me.
I inhale sharply, "I'm scared Kylan." I confess, he rubs my back gently, "don't be." He assured me.
I nod, burying my face in his chest.
"It's getting late now, time to rest." He rasps, gently laying me on the bed.

The next day was hectic, things went from bad to worse.
In place of the queen, I had temporarily been put in charge. But what worries me is the fact that the soldiers were lacking motivation.
The reason for their motivation earlier was the presence of the heir to the throne, which is Mystic. But her absence is making them feel worthless.
This is bad, in this case, if we were to go to war. We would lose, because they have lost their will to fight.
Both I and Kylan did our best to give them the motivation they needed. I don't know if it will help, but I do know that it isn't enough.
I could only wait for Mystic's return.
With these thoughts running through my mind, I find myself walking towards the hall way which led to the training arena in the queen's quarters.
With anxiety coursing through my veins, I pull out a sword and begin to practice to blow off some steam.
I don't know how long I remained there. Perhaps twenty, perhaps thirty, I didn't know.
Soon, I heard a familiar set of steps. I didn't need to turn around to know it was my soulmate Kylan.
"Hey." He called softly, "hey" I say.
Letting the sword free from my grasp, few seconds later the echo of the sword meeting with the ground greets my ears.
"Is something wrong?" He asked me, closing the distance between us both before placing his hands on my cheek.
I shut my eyes momentarily at the contact, before locking eyes with his again.
"I'm restless Kylan. I don't know, but something seems terribly wrong." I say, he opens his mouth to console me but gets interrupted by one of the guards. Who swims in with urgency.
"What is it?" Kylan asks, voice stern and annoyed with the intrusion.
The guard bows, "I apologise for the intrusion your highness, but we just received news that there are some demons above water."
I stiffen, and could also feel Kylan tense without him having to look at me.
"What?" I say.
