I reach home, and shut the door behind me. Making sure to lock it, I lean against the door with my heart hammering in my chest.
The sound of an object falling with a thud, brings me back to reality.
"Jax! Is that you?" I yell from where I stood still breathing heavily.
There is no response, and soon I spot a flash of blue light cutting through the air as it made its way downstairs.
Towards me.
It stops right in front of my face.
"You're back my lady." It said, bowing.
It still looked funny though, I would have laughed. But I was too anxious at the moment to do so.
"I've been waiting for you..." he trails off as soon as he stares into my eyes.
"what's wrong?" he asks, hovering over me in a worried manner.
"I told someone about you." I say, not looking into his eyes.
"you what?" it yelled, eyes wide as it pulled on its ears.
"relax..." I say trying to calm my spirit animal down.
"I can't relax." It said, flying in randow directions too fast for my eyes too follow continuously.
"he's a friend!" I yell and this causes Jax to pause in mid-air.
"he's... a friend?" he asks, eyes looking sideways like a child who knew he was wrong.
"yes." I breathe, running a hand through my black hair.
"oh." Jax said, straightening. I relax a bit before breaking the news to him.
"He's coming over, to see you." I say moving away from the entrance and aiming for the couch.
"he's what?" he asks, and he's instantly infront of me once again.
"relax, okay? I didn't tell him about you, I just referred to you as a friend who's keeping me company. That's all." I say, leaning into the couch shutting my eyes.
"so, when is he coming over?" I hear Jax ask, I open my eyes to see him floating in the air while laying on his back. His tail whipping through the air as he did so.
"he only said, he'll come." I say with a sigh, grabbing my bag on making my way to my room.
"okay." Jax says, grabbing the remote to the Tv.
"I'll be down here watching the Tv if you need me." Jax said over a shoulder to me, just as I reached the entrance to my room.
"good luck with that." I yell over a shoulder before stepping into my room.
It had been twenty minutes since I had left Jax downstairs. I wasn't really the type who loved watching a tv, so I decided to stay a while longer upstairs. I was combing my hair while staring into the mirror. But then I hear someone scream from downstairs. At once the comb comes tumbling out of my hand.
"Oh no." I mutter, running down the stairs faster than the speed of light.
------
Before I reached the bottom of the stair case. Jax had already wrapped his tail over Holden's mouth to muffle his scream.
Pulling him in, and shutting the door behind him. He throws Holden away, and he lands on the couch.
He was staring at Jax, but then I stopped right in front of him. Standing right in between them both. Even Holden didn't know how I came down the stairs so fast, or when I came.
"how...?" he struggles to form the words.
"shhhh... relax. All you need to do now is to calm down, I'll tell you everything." I say, looking at him with pleading eyes.
And as expected, he looks at Jax then me.
"....alright..." he reluctantly agrees, and a smile appears on my face.
"thank you, you won't regret this." I say, suddenly all giddy.
"I sure hope I don't." he said, throwing a wary glance over at Jax, who gives him a glare in return.
