Imperial Palace
Emporor Molt's P.O.V.
Sitting on his throne, an elderly man in his fifties can be seen clearly reading a piece of parchment handed to him by a messenger.
It was not long ago that the man had rushed through the palaces door after he has had to argue his way through the guards. But no matter what he was glad to have been given permission, all thanks to the emporor words.
"What is the meaning of this!?" The emporor molt let out slightly irked by what he'd read.
"What is the matter father?" A boy who was of the man's third son said curious by his emperor's change of mood.
"It appears that not everyone within my land is willing to pick up arms for the empire," Uttered molt as he almost crushes the parchment.
"Perhaps we should send a delegation father. You know, to see what made them think it was a good deny the empire's call for battle." Anothet one of the emperor's sons says with a cocky expression drawn upon his face.
In his head molt was considering his eldest son's words, what he seen and read through the parchment was not in his liking. How dare, how dare could the people who lives in his land deny his call for arms.
However, he understood in the beginning that evantually others would soon change their mind of the empires issue with what had went wrong against the men's of green when they had first appeared through the gate.
They knew that after he sent the first and second waves to re-capture the gate, the image of his empire would be far worse than it is now.
And sadly, he feared that may had come true and couldn't allow such transgressions to be stained in his empire any longer.
"Has the general arrived yet?!" Emporor molt said to his personal speaker.
"Uhhh, no your Highness. She's is currently dealing with a few issues with one of the far few rebel groups, have you not remember. You've sent her there." The man said responding to molt's requests.
"Right, I've had forgotten about that," the emporor says reprimending himself for that. "Then, where is the wizard, send a someone to get him here, now!"
After the emporor finished speaking a swirling vortex of electric blue had out of nowhere appeared in the center of the palaces room. The guards who stood by reacted quickly but was ceased in their action when molt raised his hand with a simple gesture.
"You've called for me my emporor," The cloaked figure of a man said announcing himself with bow of his head.
"I have wizard. I assume you understood the reasons I've called for your presence here," Molt told him with an unappealing sound of his voice.
"Yes emporor. I am after all your humble servant, I live to serve you as I did your father... Anything you asked, I shall answer to." the evil looking wizard man said.
He knew that the cloaked figure infront of him has worked for his empire for as long as his great grandfather has lived. And now here he was, standing infront of him.
The emporor couldn't help but feel something wrong with the cloaked figure for all he could see was his face, and that made molt wished the man had put his hood back on.
"I need you to deal with someone who's had the nerve to deny my call for aid. If they do not wish to stand with me, then I will show them what happens to those who denied me," the emporor said sounding with a demanding order.
"Of course your Highness. Anything." the evil looking wizard responded.
"I want you and your so called wizard to help my soldiers in invading a few villages and towns who has rejected the empire's call for aid. The one who's going to lead this expedition will be lord jellek... Make sure you succeed in this task, I will not accept any failures." Molt says with a firm yet serous tone.
"As you wish your highness." the wizard answered back as he couldn't help but smirk under hood.
Not a moment later the wizard disappeared from his spot with same vortex he'd summoned before.
"Do you think that was such a wise idea father?" One of molt's daughters says.
"Of course oaylan, there's a reason why I've chosen that old wizard for this exact task. Though, that does not mean he's in charge." Molt said in response to his daughter.
"I'm assuming you are referring to lord jellak?" Oaylan says as she pondered on the matter.
"Yes, lord jellak will keep the wizard in check." Replied molt.
A laugh coming from that of the emporor's eldest son zorzal as he continued on for a moment. "That is if the lord himself is killed in battle father, you should've sent me instead. I would've slaughtered those traitorous villages and towns without question of their disloyalty to the empire!"
The look on molt's eldest daughter conjured into that of a scowl as she then spoke against her brother's shortsighted statements.
"Then am I glad you aren't in charge of it zorzal. Cause all you are ever good at, is making things much worse for the empire, ya fool!" Oaylan told him with the least bit of disdain for him.
Zorzal angered by his own sister words wanted to returned the insults, but due to the emporor being in the center of the throne he knew better to not speak I'll of the oldest sibling.
"As if you would even done anything differently at all sister. Where were you at when I was fighting for our home. Oh right, visiting your dear old lover boy, what was his name again," Zorzal mockingly said as he knew he touched a sore spot.
The emporor irked by his children's childrens squabbling had enough of this and couldnt hold any longer. "Enough! Zorzal. Do yourself a favor and go deal with the bunny kingdom. I do not wish to sit here and listen to you two bickering about issues that doesn't benefits the empire. Now!... And oaylan,"
"Yes father?" She said answering him.
"Go and find your sister's, bring them here now!" Molt demanded.
"As you wish father, I'll be on my way," Oaylan answered as she then got up from her throne seat and walked off with her two personal guards following behind her.
"How long must I deal with those two," Emporor molt said uttering a few words underneath his breathe.
Five P.O.V.
For the time being, five, including Kate Laswell, his groups, and the Mi6-Squad.
All around them, they can see people desperately gathering water to keep the fires from spreading throughout the town's buildings.
The people appeared to be unable to cope with the dire situat ion; some considered fleeing the town, while others persisted despite the fact that the fire had worsened. Nonetheless, their desperate efforts to put out the fire were eventually answered, though this time by someone other than their own town guards.
From above in the sky, civilians and those who saw the flying metal machine were in awe at the multiple sight of the MH-60 Pavehawks helicopters flying floating up in the air, while in the bottom of their hangar they each held what appears to be a fairly large bag of water, that when some of the heli came close to a certain building, the bottom part of the bags opened out as layers of water began pouring out all over the buildings as it continued dispersing the flames.
"Is this your doing?" Five says, looking at Laswell inquisitively.
"Yes, I made sure to call in a couple of our birds to help put out this fire," Kate replied.
"That is actually quite nice of you, Laswell. Not everytime people gets help without no response," Sims added in.
"I agree," Hellen Park said, staring at the scene.
"Where will you go now, Laswell?" Adler says, his gaze fixed on Kate.
"Go back to the special region, but. That appears to be something that can wait. Spartan," Kate said speaking his name lastly.
"What is it?" Five answered.
"Do you not work with th e other folks?" Kate Laswell asked him to confirm her statement.
When the woman asked him that question, five was considering whether he should tell her that the unsc believes he is dead, given that the last time they saw him was inside an exploding covenant ship. He then ended up staying on this planet for fourteen years.
Carly recognized what was going through the spartan's mind. As a result, she spoke up for him voluntarily. "I do not think that five is the right person to be asking that question, ma'am," the ONI agent explained.
Looking at the woman with a questioning expression, Laswell decided to ask him why. "How come, he works with the other folks, unless you guys got a name?" Inquired Kate.
"Yes we do. In fact, Carol and I, as well as Spartan, work with those you refer to as folks. Otherwise known as the UNSC," Carly told Laswell, eliciting a look of interest from the mi6 squad, particularly from Laswell's soldiers and herself.
"Unsc, so that is what you are called after," Park said.
"Yes, we are called the unsc... However, the problem is that the unsc believes five is dead. You see, in our records. The spartan has been dead for fourteen years." Carol told Laswell, causing the woman to take a brief glance at the Spartan.
"Dead," said Adler, his arms crossed.
"Yes. During a mission that I was assigned to complete in 2557, my commanders believe I am Kia. How that is possible, I do not know... But it appears that will soon change now that the unsc is here." Five said responding to them.
Carol looked up happily at five. "The others would be pleased to see you alive. Grace, Asta, and Robert. "They would all be glad to see you."
"I am afraid I would have to disappoint you, Carol." Five said, eliciting a disappointed expression from the pilot.
"What do you mean by that? You aren't wanting to come back?" Inquired Carol.
"He does not mean it like that, Carol. Five will have the opportunity to see them. Just not right now; I and our groups are on a critical mission to locate a kidnapped princess," Carly told her, hoping to correct five's response.
Melvinia the elf, who had been silent throughout the conversation, spoke up. "That is right. And we can not afford to disband a member of our group when the spartan himself vowed to the empresses and the queen to bring back Princess Elly."
"Oh! I see. "I did not expect you Spartan to be some knight in shining armor rescuing a princess," Carol said, grinning at five.
"She is a child," Five corrected her, as he heard Deha laughing within his communications.
"Oh! Sorry. I didn't know." Carol responded with surprise. "Of course, I will not stop you. But I will inform the doctor and the others of your status; I am sure they will be glad to hear you are here."
"I did not expect someone like you to be missing from your own people for so long, Spartan," Laswell says, staring at him.
"Yeah, I kind of agree with that," Carol added. As she was somehow disturbed by five's rejection of not wanting to return back to the unsc just yet.
"Ms. Carol, if you will. I would appreciate it if you could hand over this radio to your commander. I and General Hazama are eager to meet your leader, whoever he may be. You see, since your jet rescued Itami and his recon team from the fire dragon, the people of Alnus Hill have been trying to figure out who it is. Until I discovered it was you who had saved them. So, if you can, please give this radio to your leader; I and the others would appreciate it if they could communicate with us," Laswell says, expressing her desire to meet with the unsc leaders.
"Of course, I have no problem with that. I am sure the admiral and captain would not mind hearing you and your friend out." Carol informed Kate as she accepted the radio.
"Thank you, I and the general appreciate your willingness. And adler." Kate stated, looking at the leader of the mi6 team.
"Yes, what can I do?" Russel responded.
"Captain Price had asked me to hand you this... Since it was your birthday yesterday, John wanted to give you this six-round revolver as a gift." Kate told him while holding out a gun wrapped in snowfall paper.
Adler stared at the gift, but on the inside, he was happy that his old friend remembered his birthday. "Thank you, Laswell; please tell that old man that I said hello." Russel expressed his pleasure at having a gun, but not just any gun.
"What about me, Kate. Got anything for the old Sims?" Sims joked.
"No I don't, but I do have your favorite candy. "One that you have always liked," Laswell said, passing a few of them to him.
"The arcor'd cream-filled strawberry candy. My mother always carried one of these babies in her church bag." Sims exclaimed happily as he opened one and tossed it in his mouth.
"So, how did the meeting go for you, ma'am? What was their name again?" Hellen Park asked as she looked at the woman in question.
"The house Mormont's, or as we have learned, their allies refer to it as the house of the bears... The ladies on that island are pretty spectacular; she is what I would call a strong mother and an excellent leader of her island. "You should see her fight, Hella of a warrioress," Kate said to Park.
"Maybe we will meet her someday. She sounds like an amazing person." Park said.
"Oi, it sounds like you two lesbians are starting to like this Mormont lady; could we please move on to more important business?" Woods says, unable to bear hearing the two of them discuss a lady.
"Your friend is correct, lady Kate; I would like for you, along with Spartan and your friends, to have an important meeting with me and Lady Morgana here." The town's leader spoke as she moved between them. "Please let me introduce myself... I am Lady Ulla of House Green. My husband and I are the current leaders of this town."
"It is a pleasure to meet you, my lady," Russel Adler says as he first shakes hands with her.
"Many thanks. Now, if you would all please allow me to lead you to the meeting room," Lady Ulla says, motioning for them to follow.
__________
Unknown Town.
Meeting Room.
As they entered the room, Kate Laswell, Adler and his group, and Carly and Morgana's crew each took a seat in chairs they had chosen for themselves.
However, there was one minor issue. They all looked at the Spartan, wondering why he was standing when the town's leader offered him a seat.
"Ser five, why haven't you taken a seat?" Asked lady Ulla.
"With all due respect, Ms. Ulla. Your chairs will not be able to support my weight," Five responded to her.
Her brow furrowed as she resumed speaking. "Could you please explain why that is ser five?"
"Damn, with all of that armor on you, how much do you weigh?" Frank Woods said, looking at the Spartan without concern.
"One thousand three hundred forty one, including my weight without armor," Five replied, aware of the many surprised expressions on the faces of those in the room.
"Got damn! "How are you able to walk around with so much weight!" Collon graves sputtered out.
"Spartans aren't like normal humans, like us... "They are super soldiers, created in so many different ways that we will never be able to comprehend what they are capable of," Carly replied, knowing who and what Sierra-005 is.
"Super Soldiers?" Kate Laswell muttered, intrigued by the subject.
"Well, I have got something to tell you, big man. We dwarfs would love to know how you forged such fine armor. Maybe one day you can teach us how it's created," Zallar says as he had been eager to know that ever since he laid eyes on the spartan.
"As if he would get the chance," Deha muttered.
"Ms. Ulla. I will stand, but I appreciate your offer."
She nodded at him with a genuine smile, expressing gratitude for his response. "Perhaps now we can start the meeting," Lady Ulla says as she takes her seat.
"Yes, let us do that," Morgana said.
"Excellent. Let's do so!" Lady Ulla exclaimed enthusiastically. "As you've all heard, the main reason why I wanted this meeting to begin with, is because of the coming war that the imperial empire has started against the men of green. I am sure you, Lady Morgana, have met one of them."
"I have; I saved them once. "I believe you, Ms. Laswell, are familiar with the third recon team." Morgana spoke as she stared at her.
"Lieutenant Itami. How was he?" Replied laswell.
"He was somewhat of an eccentric man." Morgana reflected on her time with the recon team as she then spoke once more. "Less serious, but more caring about his soldiers."
"That is itami to you, alright," Kaori Kitune said. "Back to you, lady Ulla."
"As I was saying. The men of green has long since thwarted the first attacked by the emporors men. But that is not my concern; I am concerned that emperor Molt will send a delegation to recruit my men and women for his armies. Ulla said, slightly disturbed by the potential outcome for her town.
"You are worried that your forces will be sent to fight us. Regardless of whether they die in battle or are defeated?" Laswell says as she glanced at Ulla.
"Yes. I know what the emperor intends to do with his vessel kingdoms. The majority of them received a letter from the Emperor in preparation for the attack on Alnus Hill. My good friend, King Duran, has sent me a raven messenger. He believes the emporor intends to recruit every kingdom in his region for the attack. Whether if it's a town or small villages," Ulla said to them.
"You want us to help you with the problem, am I correct?" Kate Laswell inquired.
"Yes, I believe that with the help of the men in green, my people would not have had to be sent to die in your front yard in Alnus Hill... The only problem is that I am afraid if I refuse the emperor's requests, he will send his troops to slaughter my people. Please, help us." Lady Ulla said pleading to her.
Laswell was debating whether she should do anything to help this town and its leader. The issue was that she was not the legitimate commander of Alnus Hill's forces. However, she hopes to God that General Hazama will not reject her message when she returns to base.
"I will do what I can. However, this does not guarantee that it will be easy. The general already has other issues to deal with, such as matters with other nations outside of the gate... But I will see what I can do to persuade the man," Kate said in response to Lady Ulla's request.
"What about the three of you?" Frank Woods said, looking at Carly, Carol, and fives direction. "You three appear to have a faction of your own that could benefit from helping these towns."
"What are you, our boss?" Carol said, giving Woods a dirty look.
"I can not say anything about our factions. But I will see what the admiral has to say about it." Carly said in reply to the man's question.
"Pardon me if I am wrong. But are you not one of those like the men in green?" Lady Ulla's husband spoke up.
"We are," Five replied, answering for both Carly and Carol.
"I heard that a small village of both elves and humans came across them. To think that another faction other than the men of green had been on Vahrian is quite hearsay," Ulla said, relieved that both Rithinaian and Daenaria were fine.
"Yeah, we did not mean to land near their homes," Carol told her.
"How could that be?" Ulla responded inquisitively.
"You see, two unsc prisoners have escaped from our sister ship, Eternity. Two of them apprehend one of our soldiers and flee the ship by hijacking an albatross ship, which crashes a few miles from Greenforst Village... One of the village's soldiers was sent to investigate the falling star, only to discover that it was our ship." Carly stated as she was not concerned about what she was telling them for the admiral, and Captain Whitcomb had no objections to their men and women informing others in this land about the unsc.
"Ship? Did you arrive via the ocean or space?" Helen Park inquired, her gaze fixed on the oni agent.
"Space, though we the unsc still use ship on the ocean. But the navy and our military forces are simply more accustomed to spacefaring vessels." Carly told them, eliciting a few looks of interest from everyone, most notably the twenty-first century folks.
"Space! I never expected the unsc to be spacefarers." Laswell stated as she is drawn in by the true identities of these unsc people.
"There is a large robot in the room, and you did not realize they were not from space? No offense Mr. Five." Adler said to the spartan.
"There are some things that are not always from space, Russell. Robots are one of them," Helen Park said, advocating for Laswell.
"Okay, since we are done, I believe we should leave for the time being... Mr. Five, I am going to need you and your group's assistance in locating the scumbags who stole the dragon eggs," Morgana stated as she stood up from her seat, followed by everyone else.
"Yes, let this meeting end. Besides, I and my husband must assist our people in dealing with the aftermath of our town." Lady Ulla stated as she departed with everyone.
__________
For the past sixteen minutes, the Spartan and the others have been going around assisting those in need while secretly keeping an eye out for their intended target.
They could only do it for a few more hours before having to leave for their main mission.
As five was assisting in the removal of a large piece of debris, he could easily hear a couple of footsteps coming from behind him.
"Mister Five! A word, please!" The sound of a child said speaking up.
Turning around, five noticed that there was no one in sight, though he had forgotten how tall he was in his armor. That is when he turned his head to look down and saw the same little girl he and the others had met before the female dragon attacked town.
"What can I help you with kid?" Five said with a firm yet gravely tone of his voice.
"There's someone who is in need of your help. Please come," The little girl said to him as she began walking off without giving the spartan a reason why.
Seeing as how he has helped the people; five spoke to the six men team he was helping citing his departure for whoever has requested for his presence.
The six of the people didn't see no problem with that and just bid farewell to the spartan watching and muttering among'st each other as five left.
He could've caught up to the little girl shortly but didn't wanna do so, for he was trekking after her in every steps he takes.
Not a moment later the spartan evantually caught up to the little girl as he walked forth and stopped next to her.
Infront of him was just a pile of debris. Woods and cements piled up into a small looking mountain the size of a camping tent.
Although the sight infront of him was nothing of an important to him, the spartan understood that picture wasn't everything. As he strolled forth in one step five knelt down onto his left armored knee and began focusing his hearing into the debris waiting for something, seconds later he could hear a fainted thumb as if someone was banging their fist into the wall.
He knew exactly what was happening and so he stepped back up onto his feet. As he does the spartan started to assessed the situation for a short amount of time, then afterwards, he then started to remove the heavy parts that were uptop the rubble's, secondly he proceeds to carefully and lightly lifted the heavy debris and tosses it three feet away.
"Hello, is anybody out there!" The voice of a man said screaming out seeing that someone was removing some of the bubbles.
"There is; I am Five. I am currently assisting you. Can you tell me what your name is?" Five asked in an inquiry.
"The name is Lokren! Please you have to help us!" The man spoke in a pleading tone before coughing a second later.
It sound like to the spartan that the man was not the only one that is stuck down there underneath the rubble, and this tells him that he has to be even more careful now that there are others with him.
"Kid, what is your name?" the spartan asked as he looked at the little girl.
"Purlan, what can I do?" the girl answered as she responded with a sharp yet lightly look.
"I need you to step back and stay ten feet away, so that I won't struck you by accident with the debris," the spartan told her as he started once again in picking up and tossing aside more rubbles.
"Aye!" Purlan replied as she Immitated a pirate like manner.
Thankful for her response the spartan continued to do what he can to speed up his move in removing the debris whereas he evantually completed in his effort in doing so.
Finally done with that, the spartan removed the last debris as he could hear lokren expressing a breathe of excitement at finally seeing the sunlight.
However what he saw next was what caused him to step back making a mistake in tripping over a soccer ball size rock. Luckily there was another person who had helped him up afterward.
"Father!" The young girl exclaimed in worry.
"Who are you!?" Lokren asked as he stared up at the large green armored spartan.
"Five, no one of importance. Is there any other people who were with you when the building collapsed?" Inquired five.
The man coughed a few more times before answering. "No, just me and my little girl. Luckily my wife and other kids weren't in the building when it fell upon us,"
"Good to hear. I don't see any serious injury on you, except for a few scratches. Perhaps you might have a healer of some sort, then you'll be fine," Five stated seeing that the old man seems to be fine.
"Yeah, and that's all thanks to my daughter. If she hadn't warned me, then I would've been crushed in an instant. Thank you though, for help saving us. Is there any way I can thank you for your kind service?" Lokren says asking him.
"No, there is no need for you to do that. What's important now is that you and your daughter go and find the rest of your family," the spartan told him in appreciation of him trying to award him.
As the the old man left with his daughter the spartan and purlan were about to leave to go and find the others, however that never came to be when they overheard a commotion transpiring two blocks away from him.
"Huh! What was that?! It sounded like someone is arguing," Purlan says drawn in by the sudden noise.
"Don't know, better to find out," Five said responding to her inquiry as he began for the direction the noises were coming from.
__________
Carly P.O.V.
The oni agent was just getting done with assisting those in need of dire help. Of course she hadn't done it all by herself, for two of her new companions.
Zallar and melvinia were both going at it with each other about who'se race done this and that. She wondered if their people were as powerful as they claim, then why haven't they fought one another into extinction. Though, she knew that was not very necessary of her for even thinking of such thing.
"Hey, I know I'm not your leader. But I would greatly appreciated if you both would knock it off already. If we're going to work together, then you two need to get along with each other, if not then at least keep your words to yourself until we finish our tasks," Carly said as she then pulled out her tac-pad.
Both the elf and dwarf were about to deny carly's words until they saw in her hand some sort of flat black thing that when she touched it with her finger the two were suddenly awestruck by it when the screen turned on with a bright light.
"What is that?!" Melvin is spoke as she went forth and look down at it with curiosity.
"It's magical communicating device. Design to contact someone from a very far distance," Carly answered as she didn't wish to explain the whole thing about how it works, especially to the two people that never seen it.
"How far can you communicate with that object?" Melvinia inquired as she was quite fascinated by it.
"Let's say that if another person has the same object as this one, and he or she is from another far kingdom. They can just speak with each other without having to send a messenger or raven," Carly responded as the name unsc popped up in her screen.
"What have you requested from this friend of yours?" Zallar said as he glanced up at the taller woman.
"I've sent a message to my commander. They'll be sending some of his men and women to assist this town. Healers, human aids as well as anything that could benefit in the injury of the people of this town," Carly told them.
"One of your own will be here. That'll be quite the experience!" Melvin is said as she being the ad advanturous know it all person was eager to see the so called sky people.
"I wonder what armor and weapons they will bring with them," Zallar said, curious about the unsc or sky people's other technology.
"I'm afraid that you guys won't be seeing any of that pretty soon." Carly said, eliciting exasperation and disapproval from the two.
"Huh! Why not?" says a slightly afflicted Melvinia.
"Cause, it takes time to get things prepared. With the many injured people here, especially the dead. The unsc will have to prepare things in a number of ways. So as much as I want to show off the unsc to you two, we won't be here for very long... Besides, haven't you two forgotten, we have an important task to do," Carly told them as was referring to the princess elly and kraeva.
"Right, understood." Zallar says reprimending himself for forgetting the main mission.
Just as the dwarf finished speaking a sudden loud of a bang occurred causing the trio to look around from where it had came from.
"What the he**" Carly says as she looked around.
The oni agent for her answer when a second shot happened and she immediately saw where it came, and so she along with melvinia and zallar rushed to the scene.
__________
When they arrive, the three of them saw was infront of them.
Three to four and six people were seen lying on the ground, broken and battered.
Her head tilted up, and she noticed a very large being. She could not see who it was because the person was wearing a tattered brown cloak. Next to the taller being stood a man dressed in ripped and torn clothes.
However, as the man turned to avoid an attack, the oni agent noticed the letter unsc with what appeared to be a prison serial number.
She immediately recognized this individual. In an instant, the oni agent pulled out her M6H pistol and pointed it at the prisoner.
However, she did not have the opportunity to use it because Zallar pushed her out of the way and slammed the head of his battle axe down on the attacker's foot, causing him to drop his own weapon.
Zallar curses the man in his native language before bringing his weapon down on his chest, killing him.
Behind him, Zallar noticed another attacker and prepared to raise his weapon to block the sword strike. To his dismay, an arrow struck the individual in the head.
"Your welcome dwarf," Melvinia says as she goes to pick her arrow out of the dead attacker's eyes.
Soured by the eleven girls for saving him, Zallar could not hate her and nodded in gratitude before continuing to attack the other men who were slowly surrounding the three of them, including the two UNSC prisoners.
"Hey, thanks for your help. But, um, I do not think I will be able to reward you guys with money anytime soon," Daniel Jr. said as he dodged an attack.
"We do not need to accept an award from you. The unsc will then be on their way, and you will be returned to your cell shortly. That includes your sangheilli ally as well!" Carly replied by shooting one person in the foot and kicking him backward.
"Shit! You people really are quick... How about we take care of this goons first, and I'll think about handing myself over," Daniel said in response to her.
"Yeah, I'll think about it!" Replied carly as if she'll let the man go at all.
"Move aside human!" Dural said as he brought his foot up and kicks one of the man so hard that the poor fellow was sent rolling backward.
Carly was going to curse the sangheili out, but since he saved her life in time she understands that this wasn't the right time to do so.
One of the man came from behind and grasped her by the arm. Carly tried to turn back but the man had his knife inches away from her kneck. Though her fear never came to be when the assailant was suddenly killed off when a knife struck him by the back of his head.
"Helen! Appreciate the help!" Carly says as she ducked from one of the attackers.
The woman had no need to strike the attacker as zallar smashed the man's foot with his hammer. Helen took this chance and shot the man in the head. The oni agent appreciated the help and returned the favor by shooting one of the attackers on the head. Helen park nodded in thanks for the save as she then continued to help them out in the fight while dodging and shooting at any target she takes.
"Where the hell is the spartan!" Helen park shouted shifting away from a nearby sword strike.
"I don't know! I figured he was with one of you!" Carly yelled back in return.
"So did i." Woods said as he rolled back from an axe swipe and let out three quick shot at his target's chest, two to the center of the chest and one through the man's throat.
"Then, where is he!" Melvinia added while having to evade one and every attacks from her asailant's.
"We could really use the spartan now!" zallar screamed.
After the dwarf had spoken he took a shield from one of the dead attackers he'd slain and blocked an attack, afterward he quickly reacted by bashing the shield against his opponent stunning him in the process, yet he didn't stop there and sliced the man left arm off.
"Helen, this is adler, can you hear me!" Russel said through the other side when the radio on park's left pocket sounded on.
"I hear you adler! What is it!?" Park responded as she leg swipped someone and took a shot at him.
"Unknown forces, they're surrounding us from all positions, keep your eyes out for them!" Russel let out as was busy handling the situation from his side with each and every gunshots that occurs.
"Copy that, I and a few others doing fairly well over too!" Replied Helen.
While the group were battling it out against the numbers of enemy, each and every one of them did their best by fighting back while having to keep watch of each other's back.
Sadly, they couldn't afford to just just stay in one place in the opening, for arrows came raining down on them. The numbers of the town guards who were asissting them in the battle was taken out one after another, those who's lucky enough ran for cover while some couldn't make in time as gun shots belonging to the enemies transpired.
"God damn it! I forgot that these bastards have guns!" Frank woods says as he had his back against a cemented wall of a collapsed building.
"They are everywhere!" Shouts Helen who ducked back down from a splintered shot.
"Have you sent for a request in reinforcement!" Carol Says who popped from the corner of her cover and let out three to four shots at the oncoming assailant's.
"Yeah. We just need to stay alive until they arrive!" Carly replied taking out one of the archers who was reloading.
"How the hell did they even crossed without us knowing!" Uttered Woods as he clicked in a second clip for his ICA-Silverballer Pistol.
Seconds after that he took out two highly armored soldiers who wore roman like armor, and not a moment later he immediately noticed something else when he saw the roman soldiers.
"The armor!" Woods says who's had to kick one back and let out two quick pull of the trigger.
"What about the armor!?" Yelled back carol who was unfamiliar with it at all.
"It's an imperial. They're a part of the emporor's forces," Melvinia answered for she was very well accustomed to the people responsible for trying to eliminate her people for the last thirty years.
"What are they doing here of all places!" Exclaimed Zallar who's axe was stained by the blood of his enemies.
"Isn't it pretty obvious, the emporor already knows that Ulla lady has betrayed him long ago!" Melvinia said responding to the dwarf's comment on the soldiers as she popped from her corner and releases two of her arrows at her chosen targets.
"We really need reinforcements from the alnus base if this continues on any longer! I don't think I can use all of my bullets in this bastards!" Woods says while having to take out his various of attackers as they were nearing their position.
The radio in woods left pocket sounded on as static can be heard from it. Frank perturbed at the moment didn't notices it at first, but after a second time he picked off of his pocket and clicked it on.
"Who's is this?" Woods said out loud.
"I Heard you were calling for help old man,"
Adler while shooting halted in his action for a moment. He couldn't believe at first, but nowhere in this world does he not know who's voice that is.
"Price, God damn it! It's about time you show up!" Adler says happy to hear captain prices voice again.
"That's right old man. Sorry I came too late. Me and the boys and girls were called in by general hazama. Though, you'll have to thank laswell. Without her, I and the others wouldn't be here," Captain John Price said as the sound of rollarblades were flapping every so often.
"I'd say it's good to hear your voice Price. But im afraid you've come a little too late! So hurry it up and give us some cover fire. Four hundred yards, south east of my position." Adler said yelling through the battlefield.
"Copy that!" Responded price.
Adler looked up to see thirteen Chinooks flying towards the town. There were numerous other helicopters of various types behind the large flying contraption. One of them undoubtedly fired down at the armies of Roman-like soldiers and attackers, as everyone who came into contact with the rounds was either ripped apart by the bullets or brutally killed in an unsightly act.
"Such brutality!" Melvinia uttered disturbed by the way how the metal beasts were slaughtering their targets without even a second thought.
"I love it! Let this bastards know what glorious battle this is! Hahaha!" zallar said sounding like a manianic person as he brought his gauntlet shield up and bashes someone in the face.
"Laswell, don't you think this is kind of overkill!" Sims said from the other side of the town.
"Yes, I've called for it. It's better to get this shit over with. Let's just hope Ms. Carly keeps her word!" Kate said as the groups could hear her letting of a few shots of her weapon.
"I've just got words from the base. The captain agreed to assist this town, three pelican, including two aid ships will be arriving shortly!" Carly responded as she ducked down back down for cover.
"Copy that, let's just hope they get here fast enough!" Carol commented while having to deal with an attacker that made his way into her cover.
"Carol!" Yelled Carly as she watches carol get thrown aside by a swing from a large man who had manages to grab her.
Carly tried rushing for her, however a hand belonging to melvinia had pulled her back in time; saving her life from a spear that had sticked four feet away from where she stood.
"What are you doing!" Carly says slightly angried at her ally.
The elven girl rolled to the right as she pulled out her knife and slit someone across his abdomen followed by a strike past his throat. Aftetward she pulled out the shocked man's blade from his sheath and threw it at the spear thrower who hadn't expected a quick end. "You would've died as a fool, your friend can handle herself!"
Carly saw the elf girl nodding at carol's position and followed where she was looking. That's when the oni agent saw the spartan sending one of the attackers flying with a simple kick to the chest.
Carly eases down from having to worry for the pilot. Not that she doesn't care, but because five has finally arrived, which makes it easier for them; as the spartan was taking down each and every attackers that foolishly chosen to rush him.
Carly figured the reason why most of the roman soldiers and their allies were going after five was because they know that the spartan was more of a bigger threat then they were. Sadly, their decision in that was slowly coming to a failure when five was disbanding those who were rushing him without much effort.
"Finally, the big guy is here!... To battle friends!" Zallar screamed out as he held out his axe while running into the middle of the fight.
"That idiot!" Melvinia exclaimed in anger, though she didn't try stopping the dwarf and ran to join the conflict.
"I'll stay here, y'all go enjoy yourself!" Russel adler says as he didn't want to go in without a blind eye.
FIVE P.O.V.
"Get him!" yelled one of the Roman soldiers, loading his crossbow.
To his surprise, the Spartan grabbed one of the attackers and threw him at the man, knocking him back.
"About time you showed up, koa!" Carol let out while shifting from side to side, dodging every sword strike from a Roman soldier attempting to kill her.
Fortunately, Carol did not have to deal with the Roman man because the Spartan had struck him in the face. The Roman soldier was on the ground, watching as his helmet rolled away from him.
He tried reaching for it but carly came in and stomped on his right arm. The man tried prying her foot off of him, but the pilot didn't give him the chance to as she pointed the barrol of her M67-revolver down at his head and pulled the trigger.
From behind her she heard the footsteps of other known attackers, unfortunately she had no worries as she heard the attacker screamed out in a painful cry, hearing as the spartan was tearing him apart.
Turning around, she watched the spartan holding a roman soldier by his kneck, next he lifted the soldier up and used him as a meat shield while arrows and bullets ripped into the man's back.
Those of the other roman soldiers brought up their crossbow's and guns and altogether fired at their target disregarding the life of their own ally who were hit by their own action.
However as much firepower as they were giving the spartan, they couldn't imagined what came next when five went from one place to another in such speed that even those around him couldn't keep up with. Carol and the others and those of the towns guards could not comprehend as five was speeding through each targets he came upon with great effort.
One person rushes at the spartan and went to stab him with his spear, sadly he wasn't expecting the armored man to grab the head of the spear with his own hand. The soldier tried pulling back and instead five just ripped it off, spinning it where the head of the weapon faces him and then thrusting it by ending his life in return.
Carol had recalled that she was in the middle of a fight and quickly moved aside when an attacker misses her from his hammer strike. Angered by that, the man here's his hammer up and began to bring it down on the pilot. However, carol acted faster then the man could've have and slice his throat with her combat knife and kicked the man back hard.
To her left she saw the dwarf, zallar singing out a battlecry as he continuesly battered and kill off any enemies who were foolishly underestimated him, thinking they could take on the shorter man. Zallar welcomed them with a swing of his axe as it slices right through their legs like a hot knife cutting through butter.
Unfortunately to zallar's disdain the young elven girl melvinia joined him in on his fight, weaving and pushing against the roman soldiers and their comrades.
"I did not request your assistance, elf girl!" Zallar said as he grabbed a hooded figure and pulling down headbutting him in return.
"I was not trying to help you, you hairy hag. I am doing this to keep my allies alive!" Melvinia responded by using her skills to defeat any archers and gun users in her sights.
"Melvinia is right zallar!" Carly added in a yell while having to deal with two attackers with swords.
She first waited for them to move, and before they could step in to strike her once again, the oni agent easily dealt with the first one by shooting him in the shoulder blade. Afterwards she closed in on the shocked man, pulled him in by his injured arm and quickly spins around by using the surprised roman soldier when his own comrade stabbed him in the chest armor.
Although the armor may have saved him from being stabbed, it only gotten sucked in between the hole it created.
The person who did that attempted to pull it out, so he let go and reached for his smaller short sword. However, before he could bring it all the way out, carol came in behind the man and wrapped her right arm around his kneck.
The Roman soldier attempted to pry the pilot's arm off, but was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, he was unable to accomplish this because Carol pressed the head of her handgun deep into his back, near the spinal cord, and pulled the trigger twice.
Carol did not stop there, but instead turned to see if anyone else was present. She and her allies noticed that the Roman soldiers and their armies were retreating. Unfortunately, the 21st century troopers who made land moved into position and began killing many of their targets while switching to single fire.
Zallar sees this and was about to rush after the retreating folks, but before he could make another step an armored hand reached out and grabbed him by the edge of his armor.
"What are you doing spartan!" zallar said questioning him.
"Let them leave. The marines and army troopers will deal with them. Along with the townguards." Five said in response to the hotheaded dwarf.
"Look, zallar; he is correct. We will not need to pursue them." Carly spoke as two arriving chinooks dropped off approximately twenty marines and army troopers, as well as a few JSDF soldiers.
The dwarf assumed he could not disagree with the oni agent. He stood there for a moment, watching as a number of the retreating Roman soldiers and their allies were apprehended, while others who refused to comply were gunned down because they believed they had superior authority over twenty-first-century men and women.
"Fine, I guess you are both right. I will live to fight again." Zallar let out as he reinserted his axe into its sheath.
"Thank you." Carly said happily as she lightly tap him on the shoulder.
"I see I don't need to save y'all butt from getting killed after all!" Sims spoke as he and the others were walking towards the spartan and them.
"Who says we need it? Look around; there was no need for you. Though, you weren't so bad after all man." Carol responded.
"Dang! That hurts." Sims mockingly as he has his arm on his heart.
"But you aren't. You haven't even been hit by an arrow or bullet?" Melvinia says, noting that she did not see any on him.
Carol smiled at this as she stared at the two for the moment. "He's just jesting himself girl."
Melvinia didn't get it at first until carly had explained the matter to her. "Ohhh! I see what you meant, apologies ser. I didn't understand your jest at first, but will do the best to understand it better."
"Nahh, it's all good elf girl." Sims said as he gave her a thumbs up.
Just then for the time being, the group all focused their attention on the new arrivals. One of which, a man with a thick mutton chop facial hair beard. His outfit refitting that of a special force operative.
He was holding a dark green cammo M4 assault rifle with its head pointed downward. His sas group was on either side of him, checking out the area around them as they made their way to their position.
From the spartan's right was Kate Laswell and her group surprising sims and the others for how quiet they were.
"Captain! It's good to see you. Sorry you had to be here, I know how important it was for you to visit your parents and family for thanksgiving." Kate spoke as she and captain price shook hands.
"Oh there's no need for that laswell. My family understands how important my job is. Although, my mother on the other hand sends her regards." Price said in response as he handed laswell an apple pie inside a plastic container.
Kate was going to reject it at first but after not eating breakfast and lunch, she knew that it's best to accept the pie seeing as how her stomach was aching for some food. "Thank you captain. Please allow me to introduce you to the-
"The spartan. I've heard many things about you back in the UN meetings with the congress on nato... The names john price." The captain spoke cutting Laswell off mid sentence.
"You have?" Five said slightly surprisinglyrised by the sudden news.
"Yes. The other big countries has been trying to figure out who you and the strange aircraft was and where you two might be from." Price told him as he was having a difficult time trying to keep his head tilted up. "I must say, I did not existingpect you to be this tall."
"Sorry about that sir. I can't help it." Five replied in a dry yet firm tone.
"No need big man, oh!"
Price and those around him heard sound of loud thrusters and turned around to look up. Up above them in the skies, pelican aircraft were soaring down at the town's position. Following after the pelicans was a few unsc aircraft with a red cross on their sides indicating to the those that unsc have arrived to not only deal with the attackers but also heal the injured.
"Looks like our boys and girls have finathere'lly arrive!" Carol let out hands on her waist.
"You got that right." Carly added nonchalantly.
