Chereads / Halo Vahrian / Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 Escapades Of The Seas

Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 Escapades Of The Seas

Authors Note:

Hello readers, just a simple notices. In this story I've chose to throw in a few differences onto the story.

Secondly, would be the characters from each of the factions I'm adding in. I'll be explaining who they are and what they are.

One is the pilot carol fawely. She is a cannon like most of the characters i use. Youay wonder who the pilot is, well she is the one responsible for transporting master chief throughout his missions during halo 1 and 2. I believe she died in the third game. So I've decided to bring her into this story.

Third is the migrants and some of the national guards and border patrols from the 21st century time. That's us. The migrants, especially Ms. Selene will have a slight impact on the story.

Fourth, again I will explain for yall to better understand. There will be a number of 5 gates that connects different worlds to vahrian.

Two of the gates both opened into a different time in earth. One, which is from alnus hill which is connected to earth, year us unknown for I haven't chosen one for them. The second gate however, it is also connected to twenty first century time. Only difference it is from the year 2019.

An unsc pelican was slowly lowering itself as the thrusters turned do wn to the green land o f both grass and dirt.

On either  side of the dropship, there were a number of other pelican ships, approximately five of which had already landed before it.

However, on the other side of the opened land were twenty-first-century air vehicles such as chinooks. Though,  that wasn't the only air vehicles belonging to them, for various of Mi8-Helicopters, counting up to only three had parked next to their counterpart.

The residents of the town were all surprised to see people dressed in heavy and unusual armor that covered almost their entire body. I mean, they are aware of the many forces from other lands wearing an assorted looks of armors. But the sight of the men's in greens far outweigh the empires and kingdoms soldiers in both looks and weapons.

Though for as diverse as the twenty first century soldiers are from the imperialistic men and woman of the empire. The sky people, or to be more specific, the unsc forces weren't so far from the 21st centuries folks in image. However, the only difference was the armor and weapons they wielded.

Unlike the twenty-first century, the unsc people wore far more advanced armor coated in a color similar to that of their previous comrades with only minor differences.

A woman, none other than Lady Ulla herself, walked out of the town center where the people were gathered. Before she takes another step, she remained in one spot for she needn't to make another step. She stood there, watching as the two preferred leaders of the twenty-first century and the sky people marched towards her, accompanied by their soldiers.

"Are you the leader of this town Ms?" A marine sergeant major of the unsc spoke.

"Y-Yes, I am!" Lady ulla replied as she stuttered a short moment there. "To whom may you two be?"

The twenty first century soldier then took his turn and introduced himself next. "I am sergeant Ryan of the united nations marine ma'am. Me and my colleague here received a call from one of our own people. I'm sure you've heard of her?"

She raised her brow as soon as she heard that statement. "Oh, yes, I have. Is it Laswell and the young lady Carly? Am I correct?"

"Yes, you are Ms. May we know if you've seen them. We would like to speak to them."  The unsc sergeant says in an inquiry.

"Of course, but you two are the actual leaders of your armies right?" Ulla said inquisitively.

"They aren't, they're more like high ranking soldiers of their factions." Kate laswell spoke as she was strolling toward them with a welcoming attitude.

"Ms. Laswell, sorry we're late. We had to deal with some political issues. I'm sure you understand that." The UN marine sargeant said.

"Oh trust me marine. I understand that very much. Though, i must ask. Was this many forces necessary?" Kate told the marine sargeant as she scoured the area where her very gaze saw multiple UN soldiers with the addition of unsc forces.

"Well ma'am. I'm not really from alnus hill. If you happened to know, there isn't just one gate. We came from another gate, one from the northern side of the world. We happen to have run into captain price, he needed some assistance. So we offered to help." The sargeant responded nonchalantly.

"Another Gate?!" Kate said unforseen of the matter as she didn't expect to hear of another gate.

"He speaks the truth laswell. Alnus hill isn't the only one with a doorway to this unknown world." Price who was standing next to Kate added in.

"Well that's quite the surprising news." Kate says still a little bit baffled by that issue as she turned to face the unsc marine. "And what of you soldier? I'm assuming your one of the unsc folks?"

"Yes, Ma'am. I and a few of my platoon members arrived as quickly as we could. The marine gave a response.

"Thanks for coming jake. I appreciated very much!" Carly says as she came forth and shook hands with him.

Jake just gave her a smile happy to see his old squad mate. "No problem carly. I must say, you working for oni was not something I had expected. Especially from you of all people."

"To bad, I wanted to surprise you on it. But seeing as how you are here, I see no need for it to happen." Carly responded while letting out a slight chuckle glad to meet him after all the years they've been together with her.

"You need a ride back?" Inquired jake.

Carly sighted afflicted by the offer, yet that didn't mean she didn't want to. "Sadly, as much as I want to take one. But right now, I've got a mission i gotta get to very shortly."

"I understand that. I won't hold you back. Though, do stay alive. I didn't come all thus way to watch you die." Jake says as he and the oni agent fistbumped.

"Don't you worry about that. I'll be back, and you on the other hand will have to buy the drink when I done with my side of the mission." Carly said with smile and bid farewell as she left with the dwarf and elf.

__________

"So, lady Ulla. What will you need assistance with?" Jake spoke as he looked down at the town leader.

"If you gentlemen don't mind, I'd like it if you and your soldiers help my town. We are dee need of healers and aid workers." I'll answered hoping the two squad leaders would accept her request.

"Of course ma'am. We'll do the best we can, though we will need to discuss the situation of your town after we are done with aiding you and your people." The NATO marine says.

Jake turned and faces two groups of the unsc marines and gave out his orders. "Private gallen, private dana. You two will head off and help those nearby. And private sarah. You and your squad go and secure any of the attackers that might be alive. Leave one alive."

"Yes sir!" The three marines answered and immediately departed from sight to accomplish their very first mission.

"I suppose this is their first deployment?" Harry the NATO marine says as he watched the privates helping the injured civilians in need.

"Yeah. They just graduated from the academy. Now they'll have to see what it's like outside of travelyan." Jake says as he was quite proud of the newly graduate.

"The names harry. Sergeant harry of the 22nd infrantry units of nato. And you?" Harry says shaking hands jake.

"Major sergeant Jake of the unsc marines... I've gotta say, I never thought I'd meet someone from the past." Jake responded for he was interested in this sudden issue.

"Funny you mentioned that. I was about to say the same thing. Shall we." Harry said with a gesture as he followed after lady ulla.

&

Daniel Cutter Junior

P.O.V.

"How long must we flee from sight human!" Dural says with demands.

Daniel who was running alongside the sangheili was struggling very hard to keep his heart rate at a normal pace. Unfortunately, he couldn't afford to stop; for he was being chased by two unsc marines that had saw them.

"We could surprise those two grunts, and dispose of them!" Dural says as he leaped over a six foot wooden table.

"That won't do anything bud. They probably have already alerted the others. So we can't afford to do that!" Daniel responded while having a hard time to keep up with the sangheili elite.

However, as the two of them were running for a short while, a town's guard was just crossing past from the right corner and just as he was about to turn his eyes widened in shock upon seeing the two of them. The man tried to halt them, but dural ran up at the poor man and knocks him past through a wall earning a scream of pain from him.

"Come on this way!" Daniel says as he took a sharp turn to the left.

Dural grunted in disapproval and didn't follow after the human. He was going to choose the other side, believing it to be of a more better choice. However, he let out an angry grunt when three more marines came from the way he was about to pick.

"Sir, we found them. South east of our position. Pinging their position on the map now!" The marines says to the radio he was holding onto.

Having no other choice, the elite evantually ran after his human companion catching up him in mere moments.

"Come this way!" Daniel let out as he turn to the nearest corner.

The two of the proceeded to turn tails as the marines were slowly catching up to them. One of which had manage to catch the elite off guard when he had jumped down from a roof that the two of them had passed by.

The marine might have gotten the jump on the sangheili but overall he could no longer continue to fight off dural. The elite grabbed the forearms of the marine, pried it off of him with extreme ease, then afterwards he grabs the soldier by the head and threw him right through a window getting a scream from the ones living inside the home.

"Dural over here!" Daniel who was standing by fifty yards away from him while waving at the elite in a desperate way, while he was holding onto a wooden door that separates the townsfolks from the outside.

Dural didn't need the human to ask again and dashes for where his companion is. But to his utter shock he came to a complete stop when he saw what exactly was standing outside of the gate.

It was three figures beared in highly dark, grey and advanced armor. One of which reached forth and had its arm around Daniel's throat.

"Demons!" Uttered Dural as he prepared himself for a battle against the five spartans.

One who the elite assumed was the leader walked out and stood infront of his team of spartans.

"Stand down elite!" Jai sierra-006 said in a demand.

"Never! I would whether die fighting other then surrendering to you and your spartans, demon!" Dural responded in refusal to the spartan's order.

"Then I guessed you wouldn't mind a little scuffle." a voice said coming from up above.

The elite tilted his head upwards to see who that was, and as he was a boot belonging to an armored figure of a spartan came down hard as it struck dural right in his face.

The elite couldn't react fast enough to avoid the strike as he dropped down onto one knee with his other hand to the face that now has blood dripping down and possibly a broken right jaw.

He heard a heavy thumb and turned to see just to have a fist blocking him straight to the face. Upon impact dural had another fist connecting to side of his face. He tried countering with a strike of his own, but all it had done was missed when his own fist left a dent to a metal wall.

Dural tried once more for the seventh time while hardly leaving the spartan hurting. Evantually, he manages to fake a straight right swing of his fist whereas he succeeded in fooling the demon and immediately took that chance and tackles the spartan down onto the ground. Unfortunately he couldn't keep going any further for the demon surprisingly performed an arm lock called a kimura where the demon allowed himself to roll back along with the heavy weight of dural and began locking his right arm with slight contend. Yet dural still continues to opposing threat, until he finally succumbed to defeat when the demon started exerting more force on the locked arm of the sangheili.

"Hold him six I got him!" Lucy-B091 says as she rushes forth and began putting a magnetic arm cuffs around the elite's forearms and hands.

"You demons will not get a word from me. You hear me, I'll kill all of you!" The elite says out loud as he struggles to break free from the magnetic cuffs.

"Yeah yeah. Keep telling yourself that." Michael-120 told dural as he squeezed the elite's forearms tightly.

"Looks like your going back to your home splitlips. Cause that's where you'll be spending your evenings until the admiral decides your fate." Adrianna-111 remarked as she gave a light tap dural's shoulder.

"Then hope it is death. Cause I despise the faces of you heretics." Dural said replying to the spartan's words with disdain.

"Aww, I'm already starting to miss the splitlips insults. It's like being back in battle, as I killed them. Sad thing is elite. They didn't die with honor, no. They died believing in a false journey." Tom-B292 told the angry elite earning a growl from it.

"Save the jest for later spartans. You'll all get your chance when the time comes. Right now we need to get him to a pelican and escort him back to Trevelyan." Jai says getting an aye of confirmation from the rest of grey team.

"Yes sir!" Lucy responded as she then spoke up. "We should find five. He might still be here."

"Agreed. It's all good fighting aliens and innies, but I wanna see the big guy again. I'm sure you guys are eager to see him again." Michael Added as he knows that both jai and Adrianna wanted catch up with koa.

"So. I know that you guys are aware of it, but what should we do. You know, in case she finds out about him." Michael says as he knew that when words get out to the opening he and along with the rest of the team would have to explain some things to the relatives of five.

"We tell them nothing. They've already been through enough." Jai answers as he understood that the family would immediately book a flight down here just to see five themselves.

"Copy that ja- Oh, looks like we got a visitor!" Adrianna spoke as she the team watched as a certain professor was tapping down something till she sees them coming.

"Spartans, grey team. It is good to see you all. Oh, and i see you've brought guests!" Anders says as she eyed the two detained prisoners.

"They were hard to find. But it's all thanks to Lucy and the marine that alerted us." Jai responded nonchalantly as if the task wasn't that hard.

"I see that. I'll let you boys and girls get to it. Enjoy the the safe flight grey team." Anders told them stepping aside to let grey team pass by.

"You two professor, enjoy the weird planet." Michael says saluting her as the hangar slowly raises up to closing.

__________

"Let's just get this thing done. I'm yearning foe some food!" Collon says as he and Purlan were loading a few boxes along with the help of some of the UN and UNSC troops.

"Oh don't worry old man. We'll get to finishing once this is done, and then I'll introduce you to our ships cook. She's the greatest food maker on the sea!" Purlan stated as she was using her magic ability to levitate two boxes all the way up in one of the opened hangar of the ships deck.

"You know, I'll never get used to you people and your magical powers... No offense." Collon said commenting on the young girl's magic watching as she uses her levitation ability foe most of the tasks.

"That's cause you haven't seen them being used that much. But trust me, once you are on board the ship, you'll see just how beneficial it is for the crew." Replied Purlan as she finished loading the last box.

Collon graves turn and twisted hearing each cracks of his bones while having to stretch. "Boy is that gonna be helpful. Let's hope you summon fire to keep us warm on the night." Remarked Collon.

"Well, I can't actually conjure a perfect flame, but I can summon some small ones. I just got to learn how to control them." Responded Purlan as she and collon glanced to the side watching as Morgana and the others were walking towards them.

"How's the last box going purlan?" Inquired morgana as she stopped in her steps.

"All done ma'am. I and collon here have finished loading the last ones." Answered purlan.

"Good I want you in the ship. We are about to head off into the sea, we will be leaving in about three to eight minutes." Morgana told her.

"Aye ma'am!" Purlan answered as she rushed off to do as asked.

From behind Morgana adler along with Carly and their groups were striding towards the woman whereas they greeted her with handshakes.

"She seems to take the job a bit too seriously." Carly spoke smiling at the fact that the young purlan reminded her of her younger self.

"Well she does take after me. But sometimes I wonder if I had put too much responsibility on her shoulder." Morgana replied lightly as she gave the group a genuine smile.

"Daughter of yours I assume?" Says Helen park.

"Biologically not. But she is still mine no matter what, though I have to teach her to be more dependent and strong." Morgana said in an appealing tone.

Both Helen park and Carly smiled at that as they two had to give it to the woman for what she did for the young girl. "Like any mother would do. I like it." Said Park.

"Thank you." Morgana says as she gestured for them. "We should probably get on board. The we will be leaving shortly."

"Of course. Lead the way." Carly answered as she and the groups were walking after her.

__________

The last two minute was on the clock, the crew of the ship were preparing to leave. Until one member saw a woman dressed in a military uniform, one the crew of the ship hasn't seen in their life.

"Ma'am. There's someone else waving at us! She seems to want to talk to you!" A female crew member yelled out.

Hands on the edge of a fence Morgana leaned forth and responded out loudly. "Who's is it?!"

"I don't know ma'am, she looks like one of those men in greens!" Replied the woman.

Morgana stepped back and glances at adler and Carly. "I believe that one's for you two." Morgana says to them.

"I'll see who it is." Adler answered as he and Carly walked down a step and went to look out from the edge of the ship's deck.

"Laswell. What are you doing!" Carly said having to yell out loud due to the various noises in the ships docks.

Laswell held out in her right hand a leather brown bag as she then threw it up for adler to catch it in time.

"That's the payment. Hazama says you'll need it for the trip! Good luck out there you two!" Laswell told them watching as the ship was slowly leaving the ships docks.

The two of them held out their hands waving continuesly down at her watching as they were riding in the waves far and farther away from the docks.

__________

More than an hour had passed, and the entire crew was already working around the ship to keep the upper deck stacked. Some are arranging the barrels and wooden boxes in orderly rows so as to not lose any more of them on accident, like getting broken when fallen, a mistake that morgana had to tell them be aware of.

Furthermore all of this was done, thanks to the work of a future captain of the ship and it's crew members.

The soon to be captain was someone that morgana had hoped would do a far better job then herself has ever done. She didn't think to even doubt the woman, not by any chance. The woman had proven herself time and time again. And morgana couldn't help but praise her for her courage and drive to show her resolve through her extreme determination, something that morgana was well familiar with.

The woman walked up the steps as she spoke out to her captain in greetings. "Captain, you've called for me?"

Morgana answered with an aye as a response to her crewmember. "Greetings parralyn. Thanks for coming... Would care for a drink?" Morgana ushered as she held out a mug of ale.

"Of course lady morgana. I could use something to drink, your youngsters of a crew members are getting out of hand. Those boys and girls are slot to handle some days." Parralyn says as she took a sip.

"I must say, this is what I like the ocean. You always get to see the sunset. One of the many reasons why I love the sea, is also it's beautiful view." Commented morgana smiling out to the gazing view of vahrian's ocean.

"Agreed. You know, being an island girl is also something that helps me connect to the sea itself. It can drown you, kill you. But that's not always the case. It also helps you navigate, even without a magical compass." Parralyn remarkes as she gazes at the darken ocean where she and the crew members could see multiple sea creatures.

"Agreed. Did I ever tell you about my first swimming lesson." Morgana says earning a snicker from her old friend.

"No you havent. But I assume it has something to do with your first swimming lesson?" Inquired parralyn.

"Correct. You see, I was not always fond of the ocean. But my father helped me overcome that fear, and the first step was throwing me into a lake near our house. Although that lake was only ten feet deep, I managed to survive by clinging to a floating log until that damn old man took it away and forced me to learn how to flap my arms. Though it may appear harsh to some, it was thanks to my father that I learned to swim and eventually perfected a method of dealing with the waters. He suggests that if my dream is to roam the ocean, I should first learn to swim... I will never forget his swim lessons." Said morgana as she looks up at the starry night.

"He sounds lovely, how is he doing. I bet he is proud of you accomplishing that dream of yours." Parralyn told her happy to see the captain reminiscing about her happy life for this was a side that not everyone of her crew has seen of their ships leader.

"Oh he is happy. I just wish he was here to see me living the dream he wanted for me." Morgana says as she rubbed a fishook bone necklace while smiled up the stary night sky.

"I assume he is up there with the  ancestors?" Parralyn said for she figured the captain's father has long passed.

Morgana let out a deep sigh saddened by her dad's death as she couldn't somehow accept it. "Yes he is, though. He wouldn't want me to become some sad little girl forever, but yeah. He was one of the biggest reasons why I am here. Though, at firsr, my mother didn't agree with it. Until my dad convinced her to do so."

"Mother?" uttered Parralyn as she looked at her captain in an inquiry. "How is she?"

"Doing well, you've met her before. She's the current leader of the village that we've landed in last summer." Answered morgana.

"Oh! I remember. She's that tall lady with red fiery hair! Apologies captain, I didn't think she was your mother. But now that I remember, you seem to have inherit her stubbornness to give up, especially her scary aura of an attitude... I still couldn't erase the memory of her when she punched that arrogant lord." Parralyn told her as she let out a laugh.

"Yeah, and I must say. I'm saddened I wasn't there to witness the beating. The fact that foolish lord think he could order my mother to marry her is something I despise about this world." Morgana says as she took a sip of her ale.

"What's you guys doing!" Spoke a girlish voice.

Surprise by the sudden disruption both morgana and Parralyn turned around, for they recognized who that is immediately.

"Purlan. What can I do to help you with?" Morgana told her arms on her waist while she looked down at her daughter questioningly.

"Misses Carly of the sky people wants to talk with you!" Purlan responded by pointing to the oni agent and russel, who are standing next to the Spartan and Helen Park.

"All right, Ms. Parralyn, please take the wheel from here. I must see what Ms. Carly has requested of me." Morgana told her as she walked off.

"Aye captain!" Parralyn responded by simply saluting her.

__________

Russell, Carly, and Parker stood there, watching Morgana approach them.

As Morgana arrived, she greeted each of the four of them individually. Though the woman had to tilt her head up a little at the spartan due to how tall he was in the armor, which was something she recalled back on her first time meeting him in arenian city.

"Don't you ever get out of that armor Mr. Five?" Morgana says nonchalantly at the armored man.

Five looked down at her, not taking her question as an insult of any kind. "No. I tend to stick with it as long as this task lasts."

Both russel adler and park turned their head his way when hearing his statement. "You know, it does not hurt to get out of that armor of yours. There are no bad guys in sight, and I do not think there will be any fights anytime soon. Adler says inquisitively.

"I could remove this armor if I wanted to. But that will take some time. Five responded to Adler.

"And by a while you mean-

"Approximately an hour. Usually when it's taken off, people in the unsc that are highly experienced are more fit to remove it. Which to them is less than one hour, of course with the help of machines as well." The spartan told him arms crossed as he cutt Adler off.

"Five is right. It takes the Spartan's to remove their armor for quite a while without the aid of unsc personals. Plus, on the other hand, they tend to stick to their armor like a piece of glue." Carly said answering for him.

"Understood. But next time try getting out, I couldn't imagined being crammed inside it for a whole day." Collon spoke up as he and the others were walking towards them.

"As if that'll come any soon." Said a plummy deha who somehow wanted add in her words due to her being bored.

"Y'all want any drink?" Collon said holding out a flatted plate with six mugs on it.

"I'll take one!" A highly excited purlan let out as she tried reaching for it but had her hand slapped by morgana.

"No, it ain't for children. You can drink the none alcoholic beverage." scolded morgana in a motherly tone.

"Oh, sorry. I did not know it was ale... Is there any drink in there that isn't made of ale?" Asked purlan looking up at the tall Collon.

"Of course child. Here is one, don't worry it is not a red wine of any kind. It is called cool-aid. It's a sweet drink that my people sip on during a dining session." Collon graves told the girl as he handed her a mug.

"It looks a lot like red wine. But the color is a lot lighter then the wine, how do you green people make a drink that resembles a red wine?" Morgana questioned while she examined the cool aid drink.

"My question is, how did you even get cool aid?" Sims asked wondering how he had gotten it.

"Oh I stole a few from one of laswell's men when they were too busy dealing with the civilians." Answered Collon laughing along with Sims.

Purlan held in her hand the mug while having to look at the cool aid drink for the moment, then after that she eventually took a sip. What took the others six seconds felt like an hour of complacency to her.

"It is amazing mother, you should try it!" Purlan said as she held it up for morgana.

Everyone stood there patiently watching in silence as morgana took the mug from purlan, at first she was skeptical of the drink, then she decided to give it a try. Later after that her eyes widened slightly out of shock. And after she does morgana handed the mug back to her daughter and spoke out to the twenty first century people and their counterparts.

"I must say, it is quite amazing that you people of green had created such a sweetened drink of that kind. Though it is pretty good one." Says morgana as she wiped a red liquid of the cool-aid from the lower left corner of her lips.

"Is there any more of it. I've never even tried one before." Spoke Carly surprising the twenty first century folks.

"What!... What do you mean you've haven't tried one before!?" Sims said looking at the Oni agent in questioningly as the others were in disbelief of what she had just said.

"I was more into other beverages. But one of Earth's drinks that I've never tasted was cool-aid. So forgive me y'all if a space girl such as myself haven't tried one of Earth's many original drinks." Carly told them earning herself a few looks of incredulity.

Collon not seeing the problem with that gave her one mug and watched Carly taking a simple sip of it.

The Oni agent let out a moan of satisfaction as she couldn't believe that this was actually happening. She had always imagined what one of humanity's main sweetened drinks was like, and yet here she was tasting one of them. It made her glad that it came true causing her to let out a deep sigh of relief causing the twenty first century crew to feel some type of discomfort.

"Five. Would you like to try one?" Carly says holding it out for him.

"No, I've already drank some water before this." Answered the spartan.

"I understand that you don't want to take the armor off, but drinking a cool aid isn't that bad man. Just take the helmet off, and enjoy the wind." Collon said heedlessly without concern of what the armored man would say in return.

"I'm fine. I've already drank water." Five answered.

"Ok then. Zallar, want one bud?" Collon offered.

The dwarf reached up and took the last mug after collon handed the other to melvinia. As zallar had taken a sip of it he exclaimed in a lighthearted burping grossing out the elf and those nearby him.

Zallar laughs as he patted collon graves by the back in appreciation of the said drink. "You human, you should start selling one of this in my kingdom, my people especially my king would love this cool-aid drink of yours."

"It may take some time. However, I will definitely consider it." Says collon as he and zallar clang mugs together.

"So, ms. Carly. May I ask why you have called me here in the first place?" Morgana inquired, having almost forgotten why she had come here.

Recalling back to the reason why she requested of her carly wiped a red liquid of cool aid from her lips and responded. "Thanks for the reminder. Can't believe I didn't remember that. But yes, I've called here cause of something that one of my people founded. And seeing as how you've told me about being a witch with magic, I was hoping you would know anything about this?"

In front of morgana's very eyes was a symbol that she hadn't seen in almost eleven years. She couldn't believe it at all, not because she hasn't seen it for the past years due to particular situation, but because of a statement that one wizard had told her about the prophecy. And along with that news was the image the wizard had showed to her.

"I know this symbol." Uttered morgana in a sudden act of wonder as she took the holopad from carly thanking the oni agent for it.

"You do?" Sims said as he was looking at it as well.

"What do you know of it?" Inquired Helen inquisitively while she took a glance at the image of the symbol.

"Can you tell us what you know. Anything would help us." Asked carly sounding all of a sudden like a worried person.

"You seem disturbed lady carly. Perhaps something of dire situation has happened?" said morgana wondering what's gotten the woman to act differently.

"It's not that. It's just cause something has occurred that made my leaders to question what it is at all."  Carly answered her hoping the witch to look at her questioningly.

"It is a symbol. One that I haven't laid eyes on for quite some time, but as long as they are okay with the new arrivals, I don't see them acting hostile towards your people." Morgana says to carly without a any sense of worry.

"They?" Wondered carly out loud.

"The southerners. It is group of a small numbers of refugees that once created this symbol as a hope to quelled against a once threatening kingdom of the red legion." When morgana had spoke of that she then just remembered something and turned her head sharply at the oni agent. "Pardon me Ms Carly. But has anyone of your people come across a person bearing this symbol!?"

"They certainly have. A man was seen walking towards a team of marines, that's when they were told to show this symbol in hopes anyone in the unsc settlement would know it." Answered Carly straight away.

"I would not say this is a bad thing, but if southerners are willing to leave their homes again, it means they can no longer deal with those who wanted them gone in the first place." Morgana muttered as she thought about the situation.

"Then that may have explained a lot, because a large number of them had just arrived at our doorstep, seeking protection under the UNSC." Carly says as she realizes what this could lead to.

"Then, hopefully, your leader will consider it, because those southerners have been through a lot." Morgana says this while hoping for their safety.

"I doubt they wouldnt turn them away. But seeing how the marines were attacked by the hostile forces, I don't think the unsc would let it pass." remarked carly knowing what would happened.

One Hour Earlier

As a pelican gradually descends on a landing pad, two of its thrusters slowly turn to face the ground.

After a few moments, the back hangar opened and four-man teams of marines emerged, walking away in another direction.

And next after the marines exited six members of a spartan teams walked out into the opening. They were not alone, though, as two prisoners were led by a pair of Spartans, while the others all had their fingers on the trigger not allowing their self to let down their ground.

As the team of spartans and their prisoners touched the dirt ground they felt the wind pushing against them when the pelican lifted off into the known space.

As grey team were walking along with the prisoners they all saw one woman heading their way along with an officer and a few guards, all heavily armed with weapons that can clearly end the elite if he so chooses to go haywire.

"Hello spartans, it's good to see you guys." Greeted The woman as she eyed the two.

"Greetings to you too as well melody.  How did the trip to carrow go?" asked Jai-006.

"It went well. However, there could still be a major conflict between the sangheili and the human colonies up there." Melody says with a hint of a displeasure.

"Well I sure they put aside their differences, before one of them starts a war between each other." Adriana-111 Says not in the mood to get involved with the two colonies and their political differences.

"Let's hope so." Added thom with a slight urge of hate for the aliens.

"Spartans, I'm officer sullen of the unsc army. I and my men can take it from here." the officer spoke referring to the two newly captured prisoners.

Jai and his team didn't object to the man's request as noble six and Michael just handed dural and Daniel over to the groups of soldiers who were on guard at every step of the moment.

"Don't you guys worry about those two. I'm sure mr. Sullen would keep his eyes on the two... Come on, I wanna show you guys som-

Melody did not have time to finish speaking before a private rushed past her on her left; she and the grey team watched as he dashed off to a building used by the unsc for large-scale communication with other colonies.

"Marine, what the hell is happening?" Melody asked harshly, grabbing one of the soldiers by the arm.

"Ma'am! A large number of boats are heading our way, right near the ship's dock. Lieutenant Rodriguez and her team are doing everything they can to keep the refugees from attempting to pass through the gates!" the marines respond loudly.

"We'll go see what we can do. Grey team with me!" Said jai as he and the squad trekked off to where the ship docks is stationed.

__________

Refugees P.O.V.

Roles of boats rode on In the waves while the waters pushes up against the sides of the ships. The people in those said ships did their best to keep themselves from falling off, for they knew of the outcome when one's makes that grousome mistake.

In the center of one of the lead ship's deck were the leader of the refugees. He was an old man, beard nearly as grey as it could get. His outfit was beared in a worn out clothes, while some parts around it had cuts in it as his skin and plated armor was exposed out for the eyes to see.

The man was then called out by one of the people in the deck. She runs up to him with a bow in hand.

"What is it girl?" The elderly looking man questioned.

"Sir Allen, one of the red legions boats is catching up to us. What do we do!?" She said answering him.

The man curses himself internally because he believed he and the civilian refugees could get as far away as possible from the captain of the ship that had pursued them throughout  the sea.

He along with the young woman trekked past some of the people as they gave him way. Ten feet away from where he is, were a few archers, while some of the refugees, mainly those who are familiar was preparing to load the cannons with great effort.

"sir. Allen! This is your last chance, give up and you, along with your people may all live to see once more!" The leader of the hostile ship said speaking out taking the pleasure in seeing the fear appearing in most of the refugees faces.

Ser Allen stood firm and ready, in his left was his very own white coated flintsock pistol enchanted by one of the mages in the refugee ship. In his head was a number of decisions, ones he wishes was as easy as he can think. But as he peered around his sides, the people were readying themselves even though they know of the outcome.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. As you can see, I and my people aren't willing to give ourselves up to you that easily!" Shouts Allen.

"Then so be it. For death shall come to you all!" Declared the man loud and clear as he turned to one of his crew men and signaled for him to begin the attack.

Ser Allen stared up at the sky watching as multiple flaming arrows cane raining down on the refugees ships. The people on the boat ran to take cover fearing the end of their life. Sadly, some of them were struck as a few of them died from muskets being shot at their way.

In response, ser Allen directed his archers to fire at the nearest enemy ship, with no concern for the bastards' deaths. After all, it was a satisfying sight to the eyes of the defenders because they had at least taken in the satisfactions on relishing in on the moment.

However ser Allen understood that he couldn't afford to remain in battle against the enemies for they had far greater numbers then seven of his refugee ships, who isn't meant for sea battles.

One of the enemy ships slowly turned their cannons on one of the refugee ships, and then a large hole the size of a small ladybug car appeared as the cannon ball busted right through the hull with such force that the boat began sinking immediately.

With one of their own ally boat sinking, the ship next to it began firing back at the ship responsible for the attack. Sadly, the enemy ship had a fairly better defense. It gradually turned to the east as its right side had multiple cannons slowly being loaded by the crew inside it.

Ser allens expressed a notion of fear on his face, he quickly ran to the edge of his ship and yelled out to the ally boat shouting for the crew and refugees to jump off into the ocean for their lives.

However, inside he could not help but feel like the outcome would still happened. Time seemed to have slowed down as Allen closes his eyes not wanting to witness the death of the crew...

Suddenly something spurred that caused a huge and highly loud explosion that almost defeaned ser Allen to the point that made him fall on his rear end.

"Ser allen! Get up!" A crewman spoke as he reaches down and pulled Allen back on his feet.

"For the light! What was that!?" Questioned ser Allen holding onto his head as the discomforting ringing was slowly dissipating.

"Ser, it's that. I don't know what it was, but the flying metal of monstrosity appeared from the sky and destroyed the enemy ship." The man said out loud answering him.

"Where is it?" Ser Allen asked one hand on the wooden edge as his head veered up around at the sky for the unknown thing.

The man once again spoke pointing it out for him to see. "Right over there ser!"

Allen took a moment to better his hearing but the moment his eyes landed on the flying metal of the unsc pelican, he and those around him were looking at it with both awe and fear of it. He didn't know if it was hostile or not, but hopes it was not going to attack him and the refugee ships.

Suddenly it came close to the ocean water just sixteen feet above it. He and everyone else watches on as the flying metal bird took on the full front force of the red legions cannons. All that attack ever did was leave scratches on the pelican's paint.

For the time being the refugees was at awe of how the unknown flying metal bird didn't even fall, not once from that amount of firepower... But what transpired next was what made them shock, not out of fear for their lives, but surprise for how easily the pelican's mowed down the red legions two ships with its two nose 70mm-autocannons with ease.

Not wanting to waste anymore time a large iron green ship strode past the refugee ships, the people themselves were all at a state of surprise witnessing what was transpiring infront of them.

Only two metal beasts had showed up and defended them. One was what ser Allen overheard the refugees calling the iron griffin, while the seventy six length unsc ocean ship was named the iron serpent.

Ser allen and the refugees witnessed as the two metal beasts decimated every single one of the red legions. They didn't know what could've happened to this two beasts that made them that uncaring for the enemies who when trying to flee their boats was immediately sunken without a second thought of it.

The lead men of the red legions boats saw that his ships were all getting destroyed with immense firepower, not from the refugees but of the two metal monsters that stood their ground against his numbers of ships. He sees that this wouldn't be any better and called for a retreat, but unknown to him, the long nose cannon of the unsc ship turned to face his way. The last thing he ever saw was the instant impact that had struck his ship as all he felt was the cold arms of darkness as death envelops him.

Ser Allen and the rest of the refugees watched on as the unsc ship gradually halted its attack on the red legions ships. They could all see numerous sailors standing on the metal ship while they were seen rushing from one place to another as if they was preparing. Turns out that they were signaling for him and the refugees to head on over to the dock.

"What do you think they are saying?" Asked a crewmember.

"I Do not know, but it seems like they want us to board the ship dock... Tell the others to head over there now." Ser allen ordered as he went and took control of the wheel.

"Aye sir!" The man responded and rushed to do as said.

__________

Selene and her family had no idea how they had ended up in this place. Of all the countries she and her family considered, they chose the Texas-El Paso border in the hopes of entering the United States.

All that as it may be quickly changed when a gate appeared in the center of Texas and Mexico.

Selene and her family were just behind the border fence that separated them from Mexico and the United States. However, she, her husband, and children, as well as a large number of other migrants, eventually break through the barbed wire fences... Despite that, they were unable to escape when the national guard was confronted with a swarm of unknown creatures that emerged from the gate.

She and her family hid from the monsters who appeared. And as the creatures continued their assault, one of them, a flying lizard of some kind, noticed them. That is when Selene and her family could not find a good place to hide, and with no regard for what was going on around them, they had no choice but to enter the gate, where they ended up in this unknown world.

Ser allen, a man from here came across her and a few numbers of migrants. And without giving it a second thought, he allowed her and the migrants to board their boats.

At first, Selene was relieved that she and her family no longer had to flee the monsters and border patrols. But only challenge the family faced when arriving here was the language barrier between the family of migrants and ser allens crewmembers.

They seem to not understand either Spanish or any known languages back on earth. Though she hopes that may change when she and other migrants meets the people that had saved her and the refugees from their impending doom.

The dock was approximately a hundred yards ahead of the ship she was in. A place where ships are parked. The only exception was that a large number of heavily armed people dressed in futuristic-style armor stood ready with their guns. Behind them were a large number of other soldiers and Greenforest village residents..

Those who had reached the dock were ushered to a different area away from the unsc soldiers and villagers. The refugees as said explained to the soldiers their reasons of being here and we're still not given the word to pass on through.

Selene sigh deeply, these sight of soldiers was of no difference then the border patrol and national guard. Yet only thing that separates them from the us national guards and border patrol was that the unsc soldiers went and rescued the other refugees and migrants that was swimming towards land due to their ship that was sunked by the red legions.

As the ship parked, the crew members worked to tied the rope around a pole in order to keep it still from flowing away.

Moments later she and everyone of the people in the deck were then walking down from the stairs, while they were being led by the marines and villagers to a different direction.

"Mami, what is going to happen to us!?" selene's daughter said asking her with worry.

Selene looked down at her three year old child Gabrielle and responded. "Calm down sweety, everything is going to be okay. See, the soldiers are helping the others."

The little girl whirled her head to the other way whereas she can see three migrants being helped by the unsc soldiers. To their sides were a number of both refugee southeners and migrants being given aid by the soldiers.

One of the said soldiers were at work performing a cpr on a refugee woman, selene and others around her thought of the worst until moments later the woman coughs as she spurted out waters from her mouth.

All around selene and he family was the refugees and migrants, standing there awaiting what will happened to them from now on.

"Who here is the leader!" Yelled out a man in perfect english.

Selene happy to hear someone speaking universal language of english, she was going to speak until a man dressed in tattered clothes and armor spoke out in response.

The one who answered was of a national guard soldier, a young boy who's at least a few years younger then selene. She assumed that the young kid was pushed through the gate as everyone was fleeing from the monsters incursion.

The unsc marine stood there eyeing the youth, he was about to speak until everyone sees a warthog driving towards path. When it does the driver back up into parking.

Then from either sides of the warthog, selene and everyone was in surprise to see six armored beings exiting the vehicle.

One of them, who was the leader, walked forward towards the marine who had spoken up. As the armored beings reached the soldiers, the leader spoke in an inquiry.

"Spartans, boy is it good to see you guys. Would you care to help." The marine said glad to see the famous warriors of humanity.

"What seems to be the problem soldier?" Inquired Jai.

"Nothing much that is of any threat. We just had to deal with a bunch of pirates. However, the people here were seen fleeing from the pirates... I've sent a boat out with a pelican to deal with the enemies. I couldn't stand by and let the refugees drown, or die." Answered the marine as he sounded relieved of the situation.

"I've reported back to the captain and admiral of the circumstances, they gave the green light to the aid of these people." Michael-120 said informing jai and the marine.

The national guard soldier from before stood there not believing what was standing infront of his very eyes. Suddenly he then shook his head to bring himself back to reality.

"Uhmmm, excuse me sir. I'd like ask if there is anyway I can use your radio to contact my base?" Asked the  young man feeling a slight sense of fear when jai stared down at him.

"What is your name son?" The unsc marine asked.

"Caleb sir!" Responded the kid.

"Well caleb, for us to contact your base, I'm afraid I'll take a while. Right now, we need to deal with the southeners refugees and migrants." The marine says for he knows that the young kid is from the twenty first century.

"I guess that work sir. What can I do to help?" The youngster asked as he still couldn't believe the situation he's in.

"Excellent, if you could. Please join the other marines. They could need a few hands." Gestured the marine.

"Yes sir!" Responded type young soldier as he then left.

"This is not good." Michael muttered underneath his breathe.

"Whatever do you mean by that?" Questioned adrianna arms folded.

"If the twenty first century people are here, then it's pretty much clear to us that the others will want to come through the gate." Responded michael referring to the UN and foreign countries.

"Then let's hope they play nice." Commented thom.

"Hopefully they do play nice. But seeing as how those UN and other countries tend to act. They would probably use some sort of excuse just to come here." Said lucy understanding how the United state and the it's allies are like.

"Come on grey team. Time to get to helping these folks." Ordered jai as he strode off.
