An elderly woman was just wakened up by the loud sound of the outside world.
Of course, she knew what it was that had been going on forever since yesterday, word from that of her daughter and Captain Whitcomb was given and then the construction crew of the unsc Trevelyan were hard at work in building a military base and a settlement.
As she thought about it halsey didn't even expect a bunch of guards dressed in medieval armor to come knocking on their front door.
At first, when the guards arrived with their leaders halsey was wary of who they were until one of them stepped forth and introduced themselves.
The woman called herself Laenaryn Stark, and the man to her side halsey knew as her husband called himself Geth Stark, son of Rickard Stark ruler of the north.
Her daughter the vice admiral and Captain Whitcomb are confused about why some lords were here to greet them and for what. Unclear at the time halsey wanted to know why the two were there, however, it was thanks to rithinaian and daenaria who had sent a messenger saying that they should've let them know about the two lord's arrival.
Halsey knew she should be mad at the chieftains but couldn't bring herself to hate them for she and everyone in the unsc were the ones who had trespassed into their lands.
And now she has to get up and get ready for a trip to the two lords' castle for a meeting. Of course that didn't mean that she'd be alone seeing as how two spartans alongside with a few unsc and marines would be escorting her for the seminar meeting. And what made it the least better was that the two chieftains would be coming with them.
Halsey was going through her mind for some time until a knock, caused her to get up from her bed. Mentally cursing at herself while putting on her shoes halsey winced as she cracked her back.
"Geez, I may have the body of a woman in her forties, but I sure as hell feel like falling for one simple mistake," Halsey said thinking to herself.
As she neared the door halsey opened it and was met with a spartan who was looking down at her.
Halsey didn't blame her for she was the reason why Spartan asta-017 was this tall. The color of her armor wasn't the same as that of her spartan brothers and sisters. Usually, they'd choose the color green of any variant, but hers was a dark black with a small addition of gold on her shoulder pads and armor forearm.
"Madam, forgive me for waking you up, but I believe there is something you need to hear," Asta said in a quiet yet firm way.
"Of course asta, I'll be out in just a minute, I've gotta put on my usual clothes," says Halsey closing the door.
Asta-017 P.O.V.
The spartan stood guard with her back to the door. While she does have to think about this asta is still unsure of what she and the others might find out there, not because she is concerned in any way but because of the others, this so-called man in greens who was clearly from the 21st century.
And that wasn't all, for there wasn't just one gate that connected this weird world to the earth from the past, but now there seemed to be four other gates.
And that wasn't all, apparently, some eggheads presume that those other four gates could connect vahrian with other planets of unknown origins. And The best mind to figure this all out was of course the famous doctor Catherine halsey.
Asta stepped aside from the moment she heard the doorknob turn. "Are you ma'am,"
Halsey peers up at the spartan and speaks in confirmation. "Yes asta, please lead the way,"
Asta nodded and first stepped down from the stairs while being followed by the doctor.
"So, asta. I know you don't usually speak about this matter, but how are your son and daughter?" Asked halsey.
Feeling weirded out about why halsey asked that question asta didn't want to speak but chose to speak anyway out of boring herself.
"Pretty good, might I say why you asked that doctor?" asta said.
Not wanting to make her think that she was questioning her for some pessimistic reason halsey spoke. "Well, I may have done horrible things to you and the other spartans, but one thing that at least makes me regretful was taking the right you all have from your childhood,"
"Doctor, we all know that. You've told us all the truth at the time we arrived at the space station... There is no need for you to feel sorry now. Just like a certain spartan said, it's better to put away the regret rather than just holding onto it for too long," Asta said to which the doctor could be heard letting out a sigh of ease.
"Thank you... Now that I know you aren't mad, may I know how the twins are doing?" halsey asked.
"They are doing fine, in fact, one of them is dreaming of becoming a doctor, and the other, well she wanted to become like her mother," Asta said chuckling remembering the day that she and her husband were quite surprised to hear that.
"Hehe, then I guaranteed you she'd be a better spartan, and mostly a good one at that," Halsey said still chuckling.
"Yes, after all, she looks up at the spartan... And one reason for that is because she loved to hear stories about her favorite generation of spartans," Asta said to her which caught halsey attention.
"Oh really, and what generations may that be?" Halsey said asking.
Asta stopped and opened a door and before opening she responded with two fingers up. "She loves the two's,"
Smiling up at her halsey while nodding. "Then it's good to know I have a small fan,"
"Well, I wouldn't say she's small," Asta said walking alongside the doctor as they heard the door closing.
"What it is you mean by that?" Asked halsey.
"The young Faith was forty-six pounds when she was born," answered asta as she could see the surprised face on the doctor something she knew would happen.
"Forty-six pounds!... At that early in time?" Questioned halsey.
"Well, I am a spartan 2 ma'am. Maybe her weight came from my genetic alteration... Though I'd be happy to see Faith skip her father in height," Asta said feeling assured of herself for she knew she was taller than both of them even without armor.
"And the boy, what is his name?"
"Nick, he may have wanted to be a scientist but he is the only one that is near my height," answered Asta.
Asta halted in her steps when the doctor stopped and looked her up and down and then proceeded forth. "From what I saw, I'd say you stand at six-foot-seven without your Mjolnir armor, and your son Nick is six-foot-five,"
"Correct ma'am, your as perceptive as can be,"
Meeting Room
The door they stood in front of slid open for them and they both entered, inside the room were a couple of people in unsc uniforms like officers and one spartan four.
Standing in the center was Captain Whitcomb with the vice admiral on his left side arms folded with a contempt expression on her face.
"What seems to be the problem ma'am, is something bothering you?" Asta said in inquiries.
"It will be explained once sierra-093 is here," Answered the vice admiral.
This got Asta's attention and she turned to look at the doctor. "Grace is here,"
Halsey smiled knowing how asta must've felt about hearing one of her sisters is around here. "Yes, Grace is here, in fact, she will be joining us with another one of the two,"
"Really, and which of them will it be?" Whitcomb says happy that they were speaking about something instead of contending with those who were already in the room.
"Sierra-025 will be joining me and the others on our journey to the lords of the north... I could take more of the other two's, but I figured three is enough," Halsey said responding to the captain.
The vice admiral who heard her mother say that let out a huff earning a look of inquisitiveness from halsey. "Isn't one of your spartans enough mom,"
"Yes, but I like to keep those who will be coming with me protected, not just myself," answered Halsey.
Miranda who was standing still just nodded to her mom stopped and reached forth swiping something on the holo table.
"What's this?" Asked one of the officers.
"This here garena is a castle of the lords of the north, whom the doctor will be visiting," Says Miranda.
"You know, since you guys mentioned it. Why exactly is this lord Stark so insistent on a meeting with the unsc?" Asked an officer.
"Because dear Faul, their father had sent a messenger of his to the chieftain's village, and one of our spartan grace, Sierra-093 was seen defending a group of children from a beast... It's noticeable she is probably the reason why the lords want to meet up with us," whitcomb said answering her.
"Well damn, no wonder why they wanted a meeting!" Muttered asta.
"And where is Grace? I thought she was supposed to be here already," Halsey said as she was about to pull out her holo pad and call the spartan but stopped.
Everyone turned their heads to the door to see a seven-foot spartan in dark green armor walking.
"Apologies everyone, I had to deal with some problems... What is it that i missed?" inquired Grace.
"Nothing much, we were discussing on an issue about our journey to these stark lords," asta said speaking as she earned a surprised look from Grace.
"Asta!... It is good to see you. Tell me why didn't you call me?" questioned Grace as she gave asta a bear hug.
For as strong as she is asta could feel her bones tightening from how hard Grace was squeezing her. "Grace!... Ughh! I'm happy to see you as well, but could you please set me down,"
Sierra-093 Also known as Grace listened and did as she was told to which she let go of sierra zero-one-seven. "Sorry asta, it's just that I haven't seen you since six years ago,"
"Well, I can fill you in on that issue later. Right now we have other important matters to attend to," Asta says.
Miranda leaned forth with her hand clutching the edge of the holo table. "As much as I love the reunion the two of you will have to save that for later, for our journey to north will be a long one, including the fact that we might run into some foreign people on on our way... However, on the positive side, the two chieftains have already agreed to join us on the trip,"
After Miranda finished speaking Captain Whitcomb spoke up. "The admiral is right, which is why I'll have fifty marines to go with you all,"
"Oh, I can't believe I almost forgot... I'll have a frigate stationed in orbit to keep watch over the marines and unsc crew in case anything goes wrong," Miranda said earning a questionable look from faul who was one of the few workers that were friends with her.
"A frigate, are you planning to blow them up that early admiral," Remarked the junior scientist.
"I doubt I would need to go for that decision, besides. There will be three spartan twos going with you all, along with the young fire team Majestic and fifty marines," Replied Miranda in a humorous way.
Asta with both hands on her waist looked at Miranda's way and spoke. "A bit overkill, but somehow, I agree with the vice admiral... We should be prepared for any possible danger rather than getting attacked out of nowhere,"
"So now that we've all gotten what we have for today's task, is everyone ready? It unless some of you still got something to say before we leave?" Captain Whitcomb says looking around at all of them.
Doctor halsey who was standing still for a moment stepped forth and started swiping and tapping on a few keypads on the holo table. "As a matter of fact captain, I do. And I think you Miranda my dear daughter would like to hear about this as well,"
Miranda and Whitcomb peered a glance at each other and then went back to the holo table where the doctor was done typing something which in turn got them to instantly know what it was that they were seeing.
"Is that a gate!" Muttered Whitcomb in slight surprise.
Halsey smiled as she then put all ten fingers on the holo table and spread it zooming a closer view of the holographic gate. "Yes, captain, and im sure you've all heard about the other one on Alnus Hill, one where our 21st-century counterpart has control of... However, it isn't the only gate, for it's clear that there are four other ones spread across this planet,"
Understanding where her mother was going with this Miranda thought up something in her head that she knew had to be said or else it'd be too late for she knew she'd regret it later. "So what you are suggesting is that we take this other gate for ourselves?... Is that what you are hinting at Mother?"
"Yes, for all we know, there are only two gates that had appeared before the other ones. The one on Alnus Hill and this one, which appeared somewhere around the clearer lands of the north" Halsey clarified as she pointed to someplace that was obviously a land centering a thousand miles away from the stark lords homes.
"Then what of the other gates? Are you also planning to take them as well doctor?" Asta implied with crossed arms considering the fact if they should destroy it or not.
"The three other gates including the one in Alnus Hill have already opened, except for the one in the north... If we can get there and negotiate a deal with the starks, I believe that the lord who ruled over that land is willing to hear me us out," Halsey said feeling a multitude of doubtless amongst those in the room.
"And if this lord refuses ma'am?"
"You let us worry about that Ms. Craze," Miranda said giving her a I hope you understand look.
Halsey seeing the queried look of inquisitiveness on the woman's face could tell that she was quite eager to know their response to the possible outcome of the stark lords if they decided to change their minds, and so with the doctor being the sort of service person she is sometimes chose to add in her conclusion.
"The admiral is right craze, there is no need for you to fret yourself over the fact if the stark lord refuses to let us take the gate for our own, for I am certain they wouldn't even know what it is, and what to do with it," Halsey stated nonchalantly.
"Which might I say, that I will also have a single frigate to keep watch on the gate's location from orbit while a team of scientists and that of my mother will go ahead and find out what they can get from this gate," Miranda said out loud and clear for everyone to hear.
"Yes ma'am, and now that we've gotten all we came here for... Is anyone still wanting to speak on something essential to this task, or is that it?" Asta spoke with a slightly loud yet subtle voice.
She glanced around at every individual and saw that they didn't have anything significant to say other than the mission they were put on in front of their very eyes.
"Alright, I believe that's it, everyone's gotten what needed to be heard. I'll have fifty Marines ready to go. Some of them will keep guard of the vice admiral while the others will go with the doctor and her crew to this gate... Everyone is dismissed," Captain Whitcomb announced.

It's been about a few minutes since the doctor and two of her spartans were just about finished with suiting up, well except for that of the two super soldiers.
"Doct, how long till sierra-025 arrives. I thought you said he'd be here?" Questioned grace.
"There's no need for you to worry yourself off when he gets here spartan. Sierra-025 will be here... Oh! Speak of the devil here he is," said Halsey as she spotted the Robert.
Sierra-017 and sierra-093 both turn to look in the direction the doctor was staring at and right there was Robert who gave a simple wave of hello's as he walked towards them.
As sierra-025 reached the trio both Grace and asta went up to greet their spartan brother who gladly did their usual greetings whenever any of them met each other.
With two fingers Robert swiped it across the visor of his helmet and in return, both female spartans did the same back to him out of fondness.
"It is good to see you, Robert, I haven't seen you since our previous mission... Are you still out here terrorizing the enemies?" Remarked asta humorously.
"I mostly went on a few missions with some teams of odsts behind closed doors... What about you, I heard from the doctor that you finally decided to step out of retirement?" Robert said to asta and she smiled back.
"Yes, I figured since my son is one of the best minds that O.N.I. has picked to be invited to Trevelyan, I decided to join him, seeing as how I've retired, and when hearing words of Chief Mendez and the others being stationed on Trevelyan I chose to come back to the workforce," Asta said replying to Robert.
"Well, it is good to have you back asta, we appreciate the help... Ain't that right doctor?" Robert said to the elder in the group.
"Correct spartan. And now that I have my bodyguards, I think it's time we head out for now," Halsey said as she checked the time on her wristwatch. "We got three more minutes before the elephant departs from the base,"
"Yes ma'am!" All three spartans responded out loud and clear.

Greenforst Village
Daenaria yawned as she took a sip from her mug. Her eyes peered down at the fetching sight of the mug.
Instead of the usual wooden mug that she uses on occasion this particular white mug with colorful paints of various flowers was starting to get to her. And nonetheless of the sugary taste of the thing that the unsc leaders told her was called coffee, after she had taken a sip of it, daenaria was immediately active around the house doing an assorted amount of tasks that caused her husband to step in at one time and urged for her to halt her from overworking herself...
And now a week later she was happy, not because she was taking a break from the coffee drink, but because she and her family would be visiting her relatives back in the north.
It was anticipated that daenaria knew that eventually, people would come to the village for it was the only place filled with people who preferred to stay far away from others, and not only that, they just so happened to be living a couple of miles away from the falling star or better yet, the sky people as she prefers it.
Seemingly that wasn't the only problem, for one of the reasons why her family the Starks wished to see her was because the messenger who came to deliver a letter to her was just about to leave the village when he saw one of the warriors from the sky people.
Apparently, the man had reported back to lord Richard Stark, someone she called father for he had taken her in as a daughter of his own. And now daenaria along with her husband and family was going to the north which she could comprehend would take a long time or in other words, days.
Daenaria was just nearly done with preparing for the day for the last thing she had slipped on was her leather black and brown boots. The perfect thing about this she had on was that it would be acceptable for the long journey ahead.
She was just about to open the window and take a look outside at the view but came to a halt when the door to her room opened.
"My love, I see you've already gotten ready," Rithinaian spoke as he came forth and pulled his wife in for a hug and shared a kiss with her.
"Hello to you too as well rithin... Tell me are the kids ready?" Asked daenaria.
Rithinaian expressed a smile as he responded. "Of course, they are, why do you think I got out of bed this early... Although I have to say your youngest daughter is quite the stubborn rebel,"
"Funny, she reminds me of a certain sister. She'd always try to find her way into trouble," remarked Daenaria earning a laugh from rithin.
"You must be speaking about Lyanna, she was quite the rebel when I first met her," commented Rithinaian.
Daenaria chuckles as she can understand how much her sister Lyanna reminded her of a younger version of herself.
"Well she was always the rebellious one, more then her siblings,"
The two of them smiled at one another and were about to close in for a kiss until they were interrupted by a guard.
The guard reached the door and saw it open. He saw the two chieftains unaware of their doings and just knocked. "Forgive me for my intrusion chieftains, but the sky people have arrived, and their leader is awaiting your arrival,"
Embarrassed by what they were nearly about to do the two of them departed from one another and straightened themselves.
"Of course guard. Please lead us to the sky people," Rithinaian said gesturing with his hand.
When the two of them exited their house they were awestruck at the sight of the gigantic metal contraption. Not only was it bigger than most village cottages it was also larger than the biggest building in their villages.
The gigantic metal contraption was 37.9 feet tall. That wasn't what bothered them, while the wall that acted as a shield for the village home was only 28 and a half feet tall the metal, or what daenaria calls the metal thing exceeded most lower lord's castles in height.
Heck, they and every one of the villagers could see one of the sky people walking around working while some were waving at the villagers.
One woman they recognized was none other than the famous doctor halsey. Preferably rithin was this close to pulling out his dagger and placing it near the woman's throat for he was protective of his daughter, yet he couldn't comprehend how he didn't see one of her spartan's placing his guns to the back of his head. Rithin may not know what it could do but he for sure understood what would've happened if he hadn't listened to his wife.
The good thing though was that the doctor had stopped her spartan from pulling the trigger, caused by the light rithinaian knew that he was lucky for even if his wife hadn't stepped in front of him and the spartan named Robert, rithin was convinced that halsey could've ordered the behemoth to end him then and there.
Rithinaian walked forth and saw that many of his and Daenaria's people were as surprised as she was.
Rithinaian and daenaria couldn't even get to their guest at first so they waited for the metal beast to open from its middle side. And as they waited the two of them were greeted by two armored beings. What was so different between these beings and the small troops called the Marines was that these gigantic beings were a lot taller than an average human being. Not that rithin was any surprised, but because they wore armor dissimilar then that of any they'd seen.
The two large beings first stepped down from the metal ramp and as they reached the solid ground the two of them turned and faced each other.
Thinking it was over the two of them halted when from the hangar walked down the doctor herself.
"Hello you two, it is good see y'all,"
